2007 - English The diploma thesis pays attention to the grammar of passive voice which can be found in both English and Czech. It seek the similarities but also dissimilarities between the two languages. The practical part focuses on teaching and learning the passive voice at Czech lower secondary schools. The tests reveal what pupils know but also what they have problems with. The questionnaires try to find out the teachers´ opinions about teaching the passive voice. Diplomová práce se věnuje gramatice trpného rodu, která se objevuje jak v angličtině tak i češtině. Hledá v těchto jazycích podobnosti ale také rozdílnosti. Praktická část je zaměřena na výuku trpného rodu na český základních školách. Testy sledují co žáci zvládají a s čím mají naopak problémy. Dotazníky zjišťují názory učitelů na výuku této problematiky. 2007 - English This diploma thesis deals with the problems of American Indians in the present and in the past. For the source of information I have chosen the American Indian writer Sherman Alexie, whose point of view on Indian problems I am discussing. The diploma thesis is divided into several parts and each part deals with a particular Indian problem. Tato diplomová práce pojednává o životě Amerických Indiánů v současnosti. Jako zdroj svých informací jsem vybrala dílo Amerického Indiánského spisovatele Shermana Alexieho. Indiánské problémy jsou zde rozebírány podrobně v oddělených kapitolách. U každého problému je rozebrána celková životní situace Amerických Indiánů očima nejen Shermana Alexieho, ale i názory nezaujatého pozorovatele. Due to the realization of the project with pupils at school and evaluation of questionnaires for the teachers we might definitely elicit positive conclusion: project work is considered to be an effective and creative teaching method and enables the connection of language items with cultural aspects. 2007 - English The final project deals with the problems with teaching speaking in English language lessons. The research had shown that students are anxious to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes and they are also afraid of teacher´s evaluation. The solution is to use interesting activities and games, discussion with students about their feelings and students´ motivation. Diplomová práce se zabývá problémy při výuce komunikace v hodinách anglického jazyka. Metodou dotazníku bylo zjištěno, že žáci se bojí mluvit kvůli strachu z chyb a hodnocení učitele. Učitelé by měli používat zajímavé aktivity a hry. Měli by se žáky o problémech diskutovat a snažit se je vhodně motivovat. Teaching Pronunciation of English Phonemes at Czech Lower-Secondary School

2007 - English This diploma project is focused on finding out the most common errors in pronunciation of English phonemes, and their gravity. Students at lower-secondary school were recorded during pronunciation activities; the tape recordings were analysed with regard to the error gravity and the frequency of the occurrence of these errors. There are strategies suggested in order to improve students{\crq} intelligibility. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zjištění nejčastějších a nejzávažnějších chyb ve výslovnosti anglických fonémů u žáků na druhém stupni ZŠ. Byly pořízeny nahrávky verbálního projevu žáků a byly analyzovány z hlediska častosti a závažnosti. Výsledkem analýzy jsou doporučené postupy, které by měly vést ke zlepšení srozumitelnosti verbálního projevu žáků. Errors made by Czech Learners in Stress and Rhythm

2007 - English This final project is focused on the most common errors made by Czech learners at lower-secondary school. The analysis of pupils{\crq} speech is based on the tape recordings. Though pupils tend to misplace word stress and sentence stress and use English rhythm incorectly, their speech is relatively intelligible. Some tips for the improvement of intelligibility of Czech learners{\crq} speech are suggested in the last chapter of this project. Diplomová práce je zaměřena na nejčastější chyby vyskytující se v mluveném projevu žáků na druhém stupni ZŠ v přízvuku a rytmu. Na základě analýzy nahrávek verbálních projevů žáků byly zjištěny nedostatky v umístění přízvuku a rytmu, které však zásadně nebrání posluchači ve správné interpretaci obsahu projevu. Byly navrženy postupy, které by měly vést ke zlepšení srozumitelnosti mluvených projevů českých žáků. 2007 - English The thesis assignes to the problems in the area of health politics, organization of hospitals and specifies Teaching hospital in Motol. To more detail it is then focused on children patients in hospitals and describes concurrent trends in the development of care of patients and in particular children patients in hospital and after release from hospital. Furthermore the thesis insists on the characteristic of schools attached to hospitals, on integration of children with hard-hit handicapped and specific institution and education of selected groups with cystic fibrosis, epilepsy and children with tracheostomy and to false lung ventilation handicap Diplomová práce uvádí do problematiky v oblasti zdravotní politiky, organizace nemocnic a specifikuje Fakultní nemocnici v Motole. Podrobněji se pak zabývá pobytem dětského pacienta v nemocnici a popisuje současné trendy ve vývoji péče o pacienta, zvláště dětského v nemocnici a po propuštění z nemocnice. Diplomová práce v další části klade důraz na charakteristiku školy při nemocnici, na integraci dítěte s těžkým zdravotním postižením a na specifiku výchovy a vzdělávání vybraných skupin dětí s těžkým zdravotním postižením jako je cystická fibróza, epilepsie a dítě s tracheostomií nebo na umělé plicní ventilaci. V práci nalezneme empirickou sondu dvě případové studie, které dokumentují stav integrace dětí s tracheostomií a na umělé plicní ventilaci.
