Jan Regal scope is predominantly in the Zlin region, where he comes from. The intention of this work is not only biography, but also his work in the context in the times. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na fotografa a pedagoga Jana Regala. V teoretické části je shrnut jeho život a dílo v podobě fotografické a pedagogické činnosti. Působnost Jana Regala je převázně ve Zlínském kraji, odkud pochází. Záměrem této práce není pouze biografie zmiňovaného fotografa, ale i jeho působení v kontextu s dobou.

Bassoon in the chamber music of Bohuslav Martinů

The title of my diploma thesis is Bassoon in chamber music of Bohuslav Martinů. The thesis is mapping Bohuslav Martinů's chamber work for the bassoon, namely the circumstances of the creation of compositions, premieres or recordings. Another point of study is the selection of several interpretatively interesting parts of bassoon excerpts and their assessment from an interpreter point of view. In the first chapter I deal with the personality of Bohuslav Martinů in particular periods of his life with references to the most important compositions and professional influences. In the next chapter there is a catalog of chamber works for the bassoon of Bohuslav Martinů with informations on the origin and premieres of the compositions. There are also sheet music examples of interesting parts in the excerpts of the bassoon and their interpretative specifics. Název mé diplomové práce zní Fagot v komorní tvorbě Bohuslava Martinů. Práce má za cíl zmapovat komorní tvorbu Bohuslava Martinů pro fagot, konkrétně okolnosti vzniku skladeb, premiéry či nahrávky. Dalším bodem zkoumání je výběr několika interpretačně zajímavých částí v partech fagotu a jejich posouzení z pohledu interpreta.
V první kapitole se věnuji osobnosti Bohuslava Martinů v jednotlivých obdobích života s odkazy na nejvýznamnější skladby profesní vlivy. V další kapitola obsahuje soupis komorní tvorby pro fagot Bohuslava Martinů s informacemi o vzniku a premiérách daných skladeb. Nachází se zde také notové ukázky zajímavých míst v partech fagotu a jejich interpretační specifika.

This master thesis deal with the cellist Friedrich August Kummer a representative of the Dresden school and his works for two cellos. Parts of the thesis are: informations about cello music in Germany, representatives of the Dresden school, Kummer´s biography and Method, description of some works for two cellos and analysis of selected movements of his 3 cello duets op.22. The author colected information from websites, books and sheet music. Táto magisterská práca pojednáva o violončelistovi Friedrichovi Augustovi Kummerovi, predstaviteľovi drážďanskej školy, a jeho skladbách pre dve violončelá. Súčasťou práce sú informácie o nemeckej violončelovej hudbe 19. storočia, predstaviteľoch drážďanskej školy, životopis a metodika Friedricha Augusta Kummera, ďalej popis niektorých skladieb pre 2 violončelá a rozbor určitých častí z jeho 3 violončelových duetov op. 22. Informácie som čerpala z internetových článkov, kníh a notového materiálu.

French oboe school and its influence between bohemian oboe school

The topic of this Master’s thesis is term of the French oboe school and then the influence of this specific school on the oboe school in Bohemia. The aim of the thesis is to find validity of this term at present, provide factual informations about French oboe school and write down the own experiences of the author. In the introduction the author explains the meaning of the term French oboe school in this thesis, author represents the aims of the thesis and the reasons for choosing a topic. The first chapter focuses on the term of the French oboe school and its meaning in the context of time. Second chapter describes the historical development of the French oboe school, the French oboe producers and the current system of musical education in France. The third chapter, based on the author's experience, is focused on the French oboists who worked in Bohemia. Czech interpreters who are connected with the French oboe school are mentioned in the fourth chapter. The last chapter describes the author's experience with studying at the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance. Gained knowledges are summarized in the end of the thesis. Tématem této diplomové práce je pojem francouzská hobojová škola a následně vliv této specifické školy na českou hobojovou školu. Cílem práce je zjistit platnost tohoto pojmu v současnosti, podat faktické informace o francouzské hobojové škole a zaznamenat vlastní zkušenost autorky s touto hobojovou školou. V úvodu autorka vysvětluje význam pojmu francouzská hobojová škola v této práci, sděluje cíle práce a důvod pro výběr tématu. První kapitola se zabývá pojmem francouzská hobojová škola a jeho významem v kontextu dnešní doby. Druhá kapitola popisuje historický vývoj francouzské hobojové školy, francouzských výrobců hobojů a současný systém hudebního vzdělávání ve Francii. Třetí kapitola na základě autorčiny zkušenosti zachycuje francouzské hobojisty, kteří působili v Čechách. Čeští interpreti, kteří mají spojitost s francouzskou hobojovou školou, jsou uvedeni ve čtvrté kapitole. Poslední kapitola zachycuje autorky zkušenost se studiem na pařížské národní hudební a taneční konzervatoři. Získané poznatky jsou shrnuty v závěru práce.

Diplomová práce “Hrdinové nové Rusi: Analýza archetypů postav v díle Alexeje Balabanova“ představuje život a dílo jednoho z nejpozoruhodnějších režisérů nové ruské kinematografie Alexeje Balabanova. Užitím kvalitativní obsahové analýzy pojednává o všech jeho celovečerních filmech, jak těch dokončených, tak i těch nedokončených, a soustředí se na archetypy hrdinů, které režisér/scenárista Balabanov ve svých dílech soustavně využívá. Kromě toho práce rovněž popisuje, jak se tyto archetypy v průběhu času měnily, stejně tak jako se Ruská federace měnila po pádu Sovětského svazu a jak Balabanov sám tyto změny vnímal, ať už ve svém životě či ve svém díle. Zjištěné poznatky práce dále zasazuje do širšího kontextu postaveného na národních, historických a kulturních aspektech tak, aby poskytla pro čistě subjektivní přístup slavného režiséra také ryze objektivní rámec. The master thesis “Heroes of New Russia: Analysis of Character Archetypes in the Works of Alexei Balanov” introduces the life and work of one of the most remarkable directors of a new Russian cinema, Alexei Balabanov. Through the use of qualitative content analysis it discusses all his feature films, both finished and unfinished, and focuses on the hero archetypes that the director/screenwriter Balabanov kept using. Furthermore, it describes changing of these archetypes over time as the society of the new Russian Federation kept on changing after the fall of the Soviet Union and as Balabanov perceived that change, both in his life and in his works. Finally, the thesis puts all the ascertained findings into a broader context, based on national, historical and cultural aspects to provide an objective framework for the subjective approach of the famous director.

Chamber music of Bohuslav Martinů

The chamber compositions of Bohuslav Martinů is one of the important chapters in the composer's life, which belongs to a large part of his work. The aim of this work is to describe individual periods with a focus on his chamber works. The characteristics of these compositions depend on different life stages of the author and other circumstances that have strongly influenced the life of this composer. While in his childhood he began to compose rather minor compositions, he was able to get a scholarship in Paris during the student years and to study under the direction of important composer A. Roussel. The situation during the Second World War unfortunately forced him to immigrate to America. There he composed his most important works and after the war he returned to Europe. Komorní tvorba Bohuslava Martinů je jedna z významných kapitol ve skladatelově životě, která patří mezi obsáhlou část jeho tvorby. Cílem této práce je popsat jednotlivá období tohoto skladatele se zaměřením na jeho komorní díla. Charakteristika těchto děl se odvíjí od různých životních etap a dalších okolností, které silně ovlivnily život tohoto skladatele. Zatímco ve svém dětství začínal komponovat spíše drobnější skladby, tak již ve studentských letech mu jeho tvorba umožnila získat stipendium v Paříži a studovat pod vedením významného skladatele A. Roussela. Situace během druhé světové války ho však donutila emigrovat do Ameriky. Tam skládá svá nejdůležitější díla a po válce se vrací zpět do Evropy.

Tato diplomová práce se pokouší studovat dvě techniky používané při natáčení pohybujícího se úhlu pohledu ve filmech - kapesní kameru a Steadicam - k analýze toho, jak přispívají nebo zlepšují "realismus" ve filmu. K tomu dochází přezkoumáním stávající literatury o pohybu kamery a popsáním historie těchto dvou technik. Tato diplomová práce se také zabývá tím, jak byl pohybující úhel pohledu kinematograficky zachycován do dnešního dne. Na základě historického základu tato diplomová práce staví svůj teoretický předpoklad, mimořádně podpořený Andre Bazinovou teorií o filmovém realismu či filmy a představami o kinematografii, které uvedl Robert Bresson. Nakonec tato práce formuluje novou klasifikaci úhlu pohledu a perspektiv a analyzuje dva filmy (LászlóNemesův SonOfSaulaGusVanSantův Elephant) ,přičemžkaždý používá jednu z těchto technik natáčení pohybujícího se úhlu pohledu. Tímto způsobem se pokouší o pochopení, která z těchto technik pohybu kamery je nejblíže k dosažení "realismu" a představě kinematografie, jak je šíří Bresson. This thesis attempts to study two techniques used to shoot the moving POV shot in films--the handheld camera and the Steadicam--to analyse how they contribute to or enhance the ‘realism’ in a film. To do this, existing literature on camera movement is reviewed and an overview of the history of these two techniques is provided. This thesis also looks at how the moving POV shot has been captured in cinema till now. Drawing from this historical foundation, this thesis builds its theoretical premise, hugely aided by Andre Bazin’s theory of cinematic realism and the films and ideas of cinema put forth by Robert Bresson. Finally, this thesis formulates a new classification of POVs and perspectives,andanalysestwofilms(LászlóNemes’s SonofSaula ndGus Van Sant’s Elephant ) that each use one of these techniques of filming the moving POV against it. The attempt to understand which of these camera movement techniques comes closest to attaining ‘realism’ and the idea of cinema as propagated by Bresson.

Authenticity and veracity of actors´s utterance

The master theses is concerned with the authenticity and veracity of actors’s utterance during the creation of characters from different genres. In the first part, the author relies on selected technical literature, through which we get acquainted with the ways actors can theoretically achieve the authenticity and veracity of their utterance using different well-known approaches to create the character. In the second part the theoretical knowledge is confronted with the author’s personal experience as a starting actor. The absolvent productions are used to demonstrate the author’s search for authenticity and veracity in different productions and genres during his work on the characters he embodied in the Disk theatre in the final year of his studies. Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou autentičnosti a pravdivosti hereckého projevu při tvorbě postav v různých žánrech. Autor se v první části opírá o vybranou, odbornou literaturu, jejíž prostřednictvím nás seznamuje s tím, jak je teoreticky možné autentičnosti a pravdivosti hereckého projevu dosáhnout podle různých, všeobecně uznávaných postupů při práci na tvorbě postavy. V druhé části staví tyto teoretické poznatky do konfrontace se svojí vlastní zkušeností začínajícího herce a na absolventských inscenacích se nám snaží přiblížit, jak v různých inscenacích a různých žánrech hledá autentičnost a pravdivost při práci na svých postavách, které ztvárnil v posledním roce studia v divadle Disk.

Thesis deals with conscious management of expressivity on stage. Firstly the author of the thesis name basic issues related to psychical and physical tension during performance, secondly the author defines basic terminology related to tention and jitter. The core of this work is application of knowledge acquired during studies at DAMU, during first experiences of performances in front of audience during studies and also acquired from first experiences from professional environment of theatre and film. The author also analyzes her personal themes related to her own personality as possible obstacles in order to do acting profession. Diplomová práce se zabývá vědomým zvládáním vlastní expresivity na jevišti. Autor nejdříve vytyčuje základní problémy související s psychickýma fyzických přepětím při hereckém výkonu, následně definuje základní pojmy týkající se přepětí a trémy. Jádrem práce je aplikování poznatků nabytých při studiu na DAMU, uvedení prvních zkušeností s publikem během studia i prvních zkušeností v profesionálním prostředí v divadle a filmu. Autor dále analyzuje osobní témata týkající se konkrétně jeho osoby, coby možné překážky při vykonávání herecké profese.

Primary Music School Jindřich Jindřich Cheb

This diploma thesis deals with the history of the Primary Music School of Jindřich Jindřich in Cheb in the years 1918-1990. Using mainly German written archive sources maps how the school worked between the First World War and the Second World War and also during the Second World War, when the Cheb region became part of the Nazi German. With the information from the chronicles the thesis tries to reconstruct the history of the music school after the Second World War - after the transfer of the German population, the Czech music school was the only music education institute in Cheb, which was later called the Folk Music School of Jindřich Jindřich.
The thesis focuses on the operation of this educational organization from various points of view. Apart from the development of the number of students and teachers it pays also attention to the problems (e.g. space, finance, etc.) which they had to deal with in this period of time. Tato diplomová práce zpracovává historii Základní umělecké školy Jindřicha Jindřicha v Chebu v letech 1918-1990. S pomocí převážně německy psaných archivních pramenů mapuje, jakým způsobem fungovala hudební škola v Chebu v meziválečném období a posléze během druhé světové války, kdy bylo Chebsko součástí nacistického Německa. Z kronikových zápisů se snaží zrekonstruovat její poválečnou historii - po odsunu německého obyvatelstva jedinou institucí poskytující hudební vzdělání v Chebu zůstala česká hudební škola, pozdější Lidová škola umění Jindřicha Jindřicha.
Práce se zaměřuje na fungování tohoto vzdělávacího zařízení z různých hledisek. Vedle vývoje počtu žáků a pedagogického sboru si všímá například i problémů (prostorových, finančních apod.) se kterými se museli ve výše zmíněném období potýkat.
