Analysis of crystallization kinetics of Li-Y phosphate glass under non-isothermal conditions

Crystallization kinetics of erbium doped LiY(PO3)4 glass was studied experimentally using DSC under non-isothermal conditions. Based on the experimental data the applicability of Johnson-Mehl-Avrami model was tested for description of crystallization kinetics of above mentioned glass. Kinetika krystalizace erbiem dopovaného skla o složení LiY(PO.sub.3./sub.).sub.4./sub.byla experimentálně studována pomocí DSC za neizotermických podmínek. Na získaných datech byla ověřována použitelnost modelu JMA pro popis kinetiky krystalizace uvedeného skla.

Optical spectroscopy isone of the most important methods used to characterize thin films and solar cells. Here we discusse the Constant Photocurrent Method (CPM) a Fourier Transform Photocurrent Spectroscopy (FTPS), Photothermal Deflection Spectroscopy (PDS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and optical spectroscopy with microscopic resolution. Optická spektroskopie patří k nejdůležitějším technikám používaným k charakterizaci tenkých vrstev a solárních článků. Na našem pracovišti se zabýváme především následujícími metodami: Fotoproudová spektroskopie (CPM), Fourier Transform Photocurrent Spectroscopy (FTPS), Fototermální spektroskopie (PDS), infračervená spektroskopie (FTIR) and optical spektroscopie with mikrometric resolution.

X-ray diffraction studies of crystals

The study brings short review of methods of X-ray diffraction, namely rotation, Weissenberg, precession, Laue, and single crystal diffractometry. Methods of X-ray topography (Schulz, Berg-Barrett and Lang) are briefly mentioned. The lecture and paper are intended to inform researchers non-familiar with methods about their current developments. Studie přináší stručnou informaci o možnostech jednotlivých metod RTG difrakce. Popsána je metoda rotační, Weissenbergova, precesní a Laueho, a dále monokrystalová difraktometrie. Dále jsou zmíněny metody rentgenové topografie (Schulzova, Berg-Barrettova, Langova). Přednáška a článek slouží k přehledné informaci pracovníků, kteří sami s metodami nepracují.

Experience with optical measurements of thin films

In this article I summarize my experience with measurement of the optical properties of thin layers. Article has three parts. The first part focuses on the measurement of optical spectra in the medium infrared region, in the second part I discuss the optical spectra in the near ultraviolet, visible and near infrared region and in the third part I discuss the optical spectroscopy done with the help of the optical microscope. V tomto článku shrnuji některé své zkušeností s měřením optických spekter tenkých vrstev. První část je zaměřena na měření optických spekter ve střední infračervené oblasti, v druhé části jsou diskutovány měření optických spekter tenkých vrstev v blízké ultrafialové, viditelné a blízké infračervené oblasti a ve třetí části se zabývám možnostmi měření optických spekter v optickém mikroskopu.

Thin films hydroxyapatite doped with silver were prepared by pulsed laser deposition from solid state target. For deposition KrF excimer laser was used. Film topology was studied using SEM and AFM. Film compostion was determined by WDX method. The silver content in layers was changed from single units to tenth of atomic percents. Results of physical testing and antibacterial test (E coli) will be presented. Příspěvek pojednává o přípravě KrF laserem a studiu dopovaných biokompatibilních materiálu se zaměřením na hydroxyapatit (HA). Je uveden přehled materiálů užívaných pro dopaci. Jsou uvedeny experimentální výsledky HA vrstev dopovaných stříbrem. Vlastnosti vrstev byly určovány pomocí profilometru, SEM, WDX, XRD a optické transmise. Obsah stříbra ve vrstvách HA se pohyboval od 0,06 do 13,7 at.%. Antibakteriální vlastnosti HA, stříbra a dopovaných vrstev HA stříbrem byly studovány “in vivo” pomocí buněk Escherichia coli.

Two magnetic structuroscopic methods, applicable for Fe-based ferromagnetic alloysare discussed and presented on examples. The method of Magnetic Adaptive Testing and the method of magnetic surface spot are show on samples of steel and cast iron in practice. Jsou diskutovány a na příkladech prezentovány dvě magnetické strukturoskopické metody, které jsou použitelné pro feromagnetické slitiny na bázi železa. Metoda Magnetického adaptivního testování a metoda magnetické skvrny jsou předvedeny v praxi na vzorcích oceli a litiny.

Extended lecture collects mojority aspect of the "Liquid Phase Epitaxy", LPE, with special attention to the semiconductors growth. Methods of growth modifications enabling to increase growth reproduction and deposition efficiency are included. Also dislocations generation by different mechanisms is discussed in the article. Poměrně rozsáhlá přednáška shrnuje základní aspekty přípravy epitaxních vrstev z kapalné fáze (LPE), s důrazem ne deposici polovodičů. Jsou uvedeny způsoby dosažení maximální reprodukovatelnosti růstového procesu a účinnosti deposice. Důraz je rovněž kladen na rozbor mechanizmů tvorby dislokací v epitaxních vrstvách.
