Monitoring network with telemetric data transfer realized in medieval Jeroným Mine

To have more detailed information about rock massif behaviour, distributed control and measurement network for evaluation of hydrologic, geomechanical and other parameters has been built up in the medieval Jeroným Mine from the first half of 2006. Instrumentation is generally based on commercial control kit and sensors. This network is integrated to the seismic recording apparatus equipped by data transmission via GSM network to registration centre in Ostrava. Completely monitoring system is performed as modular to have possibility to change configuration of this system. Distribuovaný měřicí systém pro hodnocení hydrologických, geomechanických a dalších parametrů ve středověkém důlním díle jeroným byl budován od první poloviny roku 2006. Čidla byla zakoupena od komerčních firem, DMS byl vyvinut. Systém je nedílnou součástí seizmické stanice, která je vybavena GSM přenosem dat do ostravského centra. Systém je vyvinut jako modulární, aby bylo možno operativně měnit jeho konfiguraci.

Influence of the water content on the fracture toughness of sandstone

The presented paper presents another results of the rocks fracture toughness measurement. The influence of the water content on the fracture parameters was investigates. The measurements were realized on selected rocks in the laboratory conditions in the Institute of Geonics AS CR. Předložený příspěvek představuje další výsledky měření lomové houževnatosti hornin. Byl studován vliv vlhkosti na lomové parametry pískovce. Měření byla provedena v podmínkách laboratoře Ústavu geoniky na vybraných horninách.

Introduction of Jeroným Mine in geophysical journal named EGRSE

EGRSE – International Journal of Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Environment (CD-ROM ISSN 1803-1447) will be issued in 2011. Presentation of main research results in Jeroným Mine will be the topic of this journal. Retrieval of knowledge in historic - mining viewpoint, geomechanical and seismological monitoring data and surface geophysical and morphological survey data are presented. V roce 2011 bude vydáno monotématické číslo časopisu EGRSE – International Journal of Exploration Geophysics, Remote Sensing and Environment (CD-ROM ISSN 1803-1447), v němž budou představeny hlavní výsledky výzkumné práce na Dole Jeroným v uplynulém období. V časopise je plánována prezentace výsledků rešerše z historicko-montánního hlediska, geomechanického a seizmologického monitoringu a též povrchového geofyzikálního a morfologického průzkumu.

The paper deals with a new formulation of theory for modulated waterjet technology by analytical model. The fundamental oscillations frequency for modulated waterjet technology has been investigated. This system generates a modulated liquid jet as a result of the resonant chamber introduction. The theoretical model was developed particularly on the basis of knowledge of the geometric dimensions of the system and the liquid pressures in order to predict the values of the fundamental frequencies of oscillations. The predicted oscillation frequencies were verified by laboratory measurements. It has been achieved a significant performance improvement in surface disintegration of material being machined. Příspěvek se zabývá novou formulací teorie pro technologie řezání vodním paprskem modulovaným do analytického modelu.Byla zkoumána základní frekvence pro modulované kmity technologii řezání vodním paprskem. Teoretický model byl vyvinut zejména na základě poznatků z geometrických rozměrů systému a kapalných tlaků za účelem odhadu hodnoty základních frekvencí oscilací. Předpovídané oscilační frekvence byly ověřeny laboratorními měřeními. Bylo dosaženo významného zlepšení výkonu v povrchovém rozpadu materiálu obráběním.

Floods – a natural phenomenon that would always shake to surprise

In the last twenty years, disastrous floods occurring in the Czech Republic affected smaller or larger areas (three extreme events occurred in 2010 alone). A particularly great surprise was the flood disaster in the summer of 1997, which caught a greater part of the population unprepared because several generations had not experienced a similar hydrological extreme – the historic memory of floods had been lost. In the past, people living along large rivers took into account the usual and often annually occurring natural phenomenon. However, the relation of today’s inhabitants in riverine landscapes and of the whole society to rivers and phenomena occurring on them changed during the 20th century. This is why the awareness of floods should be constantly restored, which is the aim of this work. The paper reminds and documents several disastrous floods, today already forgotten, occurring on Moravian or Bohemian rivers from the 16th century until the present and their impacts. V posledních dvou desetiletích se v České republice téměř každý rok vyskytují ničivé povodně, které postihují území většího či menšího rozsahu (jen v roce 2010 tomu bylo třikrát). Obzvláště velkým překvapením byla povodňová katastrofa v létě 1997, která většinu lidí zaskočila, protože už několik generací podobný hydrologický extrém nezažilo - došlo ke ztrátě historické povodňové paměti. Dříve totiž lidé, žijící u velkých řek, s tímto většinou každoročním přirozeným jevem počítali, v průběhu 20. století se však změnil vztah obyvatel, žijících v říční krajině, i celé společnosti k řekám a jevům, ke kterým na nich dochází..Proto je nutné povodňovou paměť stále oživovat, což je cílem tohoto příspěvku. Připomíná a dokumentuje několik významných, dnes již zapomenutých, povodní na moravských, popř. českých řekách od konce 16. století do současnosti a jejich impakty.

Ice caves (Podyjí National Park)

Excursion guide deals with the unique site – Ice caves in the western part of the Podyjí National Park. Unloading of bedrock after incision of the Dyje/Thaya R. (and maybe an earthquake) caused rockslides, opening of fissures and formation of several hundred of meters long and tens of meters deep pseudokarst caves. Due to special microclimatic conditions cave ice remains in pseudokarst caves up to August. Quantitative measurements of gravitational movements are carried out in caves and in block fields. Exkurzní průvodce se zabývá jedinečnou lokalitou v západní části Národního parku Podyjí – Ledovými slujemi. Odlehčené skalní podloží díky hlubokému zářezu dyjského údolí (možná i zemětřesení) podmínilo vznik skalního sesuvu s otevřenými puklinami a formování několik set metrů dlouhých a desítky metrů hlubokých pseudokrasových jeskyní. Díky specifickému mikroklimatu v jeskyních se zde až do dubna nacházejí zbytky ledu. V jeskyních a blokových akumulacích probíhají kvantitativní měření svahových pohybů.

Exploatace multislojového uhelného ložiska postupuje z technologických i ekonomických důvodů vždy od výše uložených slojí směrem do větších hloubek. Při hlubinném dobývání uhelných slojí stěnovými poruby na řízený zával se jako následek hornické činnosti vytváří na povrchu poklesová kotlina.Její velikost – tedy rozsah a hloubka – je závislá na více faktorech. Rozsah poklesové kotliny odpovídá hloubce uložení ložiska a mezným úhlům vlivu nadložních hornin, které vyplývají z geologických a geomechanických vlastností nadloží. Hloubka poklesové kotliny odpovídá velikosti vyrubané plochy v dané sloji nebo slojích, vydobyté mocnosti ložiska, času uplynulému od ukončení dobývání, způsobu likvidace vydobytých prostor a velmi důležitá je i existence případných dřívějších dobývacích prací (v nadloží).

This paper provides a general introduction to methods of measuring of residual stresses. There are described destructive, semidestructive and nondestructive methods for residual stress measuring. Experimental section is devoted to residual stress measuring in the railway wheel. To detect residual stress destructive cutting method was applied using abrasive waterjet. Tento dokument obsahuje obecný úvod k metodám měření zbytkových napětí. Jsou zde popsány destruktivní a nedestruktivní metody pro měření zbytkových napětí. Experimentální část je věnována měření zbytkového napětí v železničním kole. Pro detekci zbytkového napětí byl použit destruktivní způsob řezání pomocí abrazivního vodního paprsku.

Problems of redevelopment of Zlaté Hory ore district

This paper deals with the rehabilitation of "Old plant" in relation to the overall revitalization of the site of the Golden Mountains of the former state enterprise Ore mines Jeseník. The smoothing effects of mining activities for monometallic and polymetallic mining ores were carried out demolition of abandoned buildings, reclamation of spoil banks, and is still dealing with mine water treatment and purification. The actual implementation of the chapter remains in the liquidation work in underground, the practical result of the article is the demolition of the tower main mining pit in April this year. Příspěvek se zabývá problematikou sanace "Starého závodu" v návaznosti na celkovou revitalizaci lokality Zlatého Hory bývalého s.p. Rudné doly Jeseník. V rámci zahlazování následků hornické činnosti po těžbě monometalických a polymetalických rud byly provedeny demolice nevyužívaných objektů, rekultivace odvalů, i nadále je řešena problematika nakládání s důlními vodami a jejich čištění. Samotnou kapitolou zůstává provádění likvidačních prací v podzemí, přičemž praktickým vyústěním článku je demolice těžní věže Hlavní jámy v dubnu tohoto roku.

The paper is a follow-up to paper on the preparation of precursors and carriers of nanoparticles by water jet technology presented in these Proceedings. Příspěvek se zabývá možnostmi dalšího ošetření povrchu slídy a vermikulitu částic připravených rozkladem vodním paprskem.Příspěvek navazuje na přípravu prekurzorů a nosiče nanočástic pomocí technologie vodního paprsku prezentovaných v rámci konference.
