The diploma thesis is focused on further senior´s education and particular examples of education, which are the Third Age Universities (U3V) and the Virtual University of the Third Age (VU3V). The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts. The thesis briefly looks into the history and treats about the participants and the organization of U3V and VU3V. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the opinions of the organizers and participants of virtual education about this alternative of U3V learning, or the opinions of those who have experience with the given type of education. This goal is specified in the thesis. Two directions of data collection were chosen in the empirical part of the thesis to achieve the chosen goal. The first research direction, as a pre-research questionnaire, was focused on VU3V participants and their satisfaction, motivation and barriers. In this context, the U3V and VU3V organizers and tutors were interviewed. By interconnecting of these two parts of the research were answered partial questions. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na další vzdělávání seniorů a konkrétní příklady edukace, kterými jsou Univerzity třetího věku (U3V) a Virtuální univerzity třetího věku (VU3V). Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy, práce stručně nahlíží do historie, pojednává o účastnících a organizaci U3V a VU3V. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit názory organizátorů a frekventantů virtuálního vzdělávání na tuto alternativu výuky U3V, případně názory těch, kteří s daným typem vzdělávání mají zkušenosti. Tento cíl byl v práci dále konkretizován. Pro dosažení zvoleného cíle byly v empirické části práce zvoleny dva směry sběru dat. První směr výzkumu, jako dotazníkový předvýzkum, byl zaměřen na účastníky VU3V a jejich spokojenost, motivaci a bariéry. V této souvislosti byly realizovány rozhovory s organizátory a tutory U3V a VU3V. Propojením obou částí výzkumného šetření bylo odpovězeno na výzkumné otázky.

The aim of this thesis is to create subtitles for the documentary film Islands: Andrei Tarkovsky and Sergei Parajanov with a translatological commentary, which demonstrates specific translation problems and outlines their possible solutions. The theoretical part is focused on the translation of films using subtitles in the context of the translation of audiovisual works. In the practical part, we apply the acquired knowledge to translation and subtitling with subsequent commentary. Cílem diplomové práce je vytvoření titulků k dokumentárnímu filmu Ostrovy: Andrej Tarkovskij a Sergej Paradžanov s translatologickým komentářem, který poukazuje na konkrétní překladatelské problémy a nastiňuje jejich možná řešení. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na překlad filmů s pomocí titulků v kontextu překladu audiovizuálních děl. V praktické části aplikujeme získané znalosti na překlad a tvorbu titulků s následným komentářem.

The diploma thesis deals with audiovisual translation as a specific branch of translation, with problems arising during the linguistic transfer of cinematographic works and with translation strategies. The aim of the thesis was to translate the documentary film "Godunov and Baryshnikov. The winner is always right" and to create quality subtitles for the film. The thesis describes not only guidelines for creating subtitles, but also the preferences for modes of audiovisual translation in European countries. The process of translating a film and all its issues are described with a translation of a film about two important Soviet ballet dancers as an illustration. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of translated text and Czech subtitles from a translatological and culturological point of view. Diplomová práce se zabývá překladem audiovizuálního díla jako specifického překladatelského odvětví, dále problémy vznikajícími při jazykovém převodu filmových děl a strategiemi užívanými při jejich řešení. Cílem práce byl překlad dokumentárního filmu "Godunov a Baryšnikov. Vítěz má vždy pravdu" a následné vytvoření kvalitních titulků k danému filmu. Práce mimo teorii titulkování popisuje také postavení jednotlivých forem audiovizuálního překladu v evropských zemích. Na filmu o dvou významných sovětských baletních tanečnících je popsán proces překladu filmového díla se všemi jeho složitostmi. Poslední část diplomové práce je věnována analýze překladu a titulků z hlediska translatologického a kulturologického.

The role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Syrian conflict

The role of the Islamic Republic of Iran is crucial in Syria not only in terms of the current civil war, but also in a longer term in the region. The alliance of these two countries enjoys a great importance, especially because of its key position in the region, making it geopolitically significant. Syria is crucial to Iran's strategic interests in the Middle East as well as its closest ally within the region. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse the role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Syrian conflict. The aim of the thesis is to answer the research question, what motives drove Iran's foreign policy in connection with the Syrian conflict. In this context, the supposed hypothesis is "Tehran has got more opportunities to expand its influence and power in the region and beyond by defending the Bashar al-Assad regime." The thesis is divided into two chapters and relevant subchapters. The first chapter focuses on the theoretical basis of work, which is a realistic theory of international relations, and a historical definition of the important milestones of Iran's foreign policy and the roots of the Syrian conflict. The second chapter focuses on the Iranian-Syrian alliance and the very role of the Republic of Iran in the Syrian conflict. In conclusion, the thesis evaluates goals, the research question and the hypothesis. Role Íránské islámské republiky je v Sýrii klíčová nejen z hlediska současné občanské války, ale také s dlouhodobějším vývojem v rámci regionu. Spojenectví těchto dvou zemí se těší enormní důležitosti obzvláště z důvodu klíčového postavení v regionu, díky čemuž jsou geopoliticky významné. Sýrie je nejen klíčová pro strategické zájmy Íránu na Středním východě, ale v rámci regionu je také jeho nejbližším spojencem. Cílem diplomové práce je analýza role Íránské islámské republiky v syrském konfliktu. Záměrem je v diplomové práci zodpovědět výzkumnou otázku, jaké motivy poháněly zahraniční politiku Íránu v souvislosti se syrským konfliktem. V této souvislosti je předpokládaná hypotéza "obranou režimu Bašára al-Asada získal Teherán více možností k rozšíření svého vlivu a moci v regionu i mimo něj." Diplomová práce je rozčleněna do dvou kapitol a příslušných podkapitol. První kapitola se zaměřuje na teoretické východisko práce, čímž je realistická teorie mezinárodních vztahů, a na historické vymezení týkající se důležitých mezníků zahraniční politiky Íránu a kořenů syrského konfliktu. Druhá kapitola se již zaměřuje na íránsko-syrské spojenectví a samotnou roli Íránské republiky v syrském konfliktu. Závěrem práce zhodnocuje cíle, výzkumnou otázku a hypotézu.

The Relationship student first stage of basic education, parents and money as part of education in financial literacy

Purpose of thesis is to find out parent´s attitude to education of their children regarding dealing with money and pocket money and their attitude to financial literacy of their children. Different kinds of investigations show missing basis of financial literacy. Because of this, people cannot safe, gain or keep their money. There is an education about financial literacy defined by Standard finanční gramotnosti according to National education strategy (2010) in elementary school and at high school. However, important part of education is practice, which is mainly represented by parents. Children will deal with money the same way their parents did. Outcome of thesis is theory from economic psychology. Chosen type of research was quantitative type, which uses statistic testing in combination with qualitative approach. Results were compared with foreign researches on financial bases. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit postoje rodičů k výchově svých dětí ve vztahu k zacházení s penězi a kapesným a s tím i související postoje k finanční gramotnosti dětí. Z různých typů šetření vyplývá, že společnosti chybí základy finanční gramotnosti. To pak způsobuje, že lidé neumí hospodařit s penězi, získat je či si své peníze udržet. Na základních a středních školách je výuka finanční gramotnosti vymezena ve Standardu finanční gramotnosti podle Národní strategie vzdělávání (2010). Důležitou součástí výuky je však i praktická stránka. Tu nejlépe zastupují rodiče. Podle jejich zacházení s penězi, budou s nimi nakládat i jejich děti. Východiskem diplomové práce byla teorie z ekonomické psychologie. Typem výzkumu jsme zvolili kvantitativní typ výzkumné činnosti, který využívá statistické testování, spolu v kombinaci s kvalitativním přístupem. Výsledky byly porovnány s výzkumy ze zahraničí na téma finanční socializace.

The "zero" implementation - possibilities and difficulties

The thesis deals with the possibilities of introducing zero in mathematics at primary school and examines the pitfalls that may occur during implementation. The theoretical part describes the historical development of zero. Describes the options that can be used to derive zero. In the practical part are analyzed mathematics textbooks for the first year of primary school. The analysis focuses mainly on how zero is introduced and in which other situations it appears in the textbooks. At the end of the thesis I summarize the results of the questionnaire survey, which was aimed at teachers of primary school. Diplomová práce se zabývá možnostmi zavádění nuly v matematice na 1. stupni ZŠ a zkoumá úskalí, které mohou při zavádění nastat. Teoretická část popisuje historický vývoj nuly. Popisuje možnosti, které lze použít při vyvozování nuly. V praktické části jsou analyzovány učebnice matematiky pro 1. ročník ZŠ. Analýza je zaměřena zejména na to, jak je nula zaváděna a v jakých dalších situacích se nula v učebnicích objevuje. V závěru diplomové práce shrnuji výsledky dotazníkového průzkumu, který byl směřován na učitele 1. stupně ZŠ.

This diploma thesis focuses on leisure time of older school age. The target is to find out differences in leisure time of pupils of lower secondary schools and lower grammar school pupils in the Kroměříž region. Theoretical part defines terms leisure time, pubescent and primary education. Practical part consists of survey using questionnaires focused on different ways of spending leisure time of lower secondary pupils and pupils of lower grammar schools. The results of survey are explained in discussion. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na volný čas dětí staršího školního věku. Cílem je zjistit rozdíly ve volném čase žáků druhého stupně základních škol a žáků nižších gymnázií na Kroměřížsku Teoretická část práce vymezuje pojmy volný čas, pubescent a základní vzdělávání. Praktickou část tvoří výzkum s použitím dotazníků. Ten je zaměřen na rozdílné trávení volného času žáků druhého stupně základních škol a žáků nižších gymnázií. Výsledky výzkumu jsou objasněny v diskuzi.

Japanese nomenclature of plants

The subject-matter of the thesis is an analysis of word-formation motivation of Japanese botanical nomenclature, including both scientific and common names. The first chapter delves into theoretical perception on this matter from perspective of botanical taxonomy, lexicology and morphology. Its goal is to introduce terminology necessary for further explanation. The second chapter describes methodology of the research and briefly present categories of motivants, according to which the third chapter is designed. The third, practical part commens on word-formation motivation of a selection of Japanese botanical names. Occasional footnotes make comparison of meanings encompassed in Japanese nomenclature to that of Europe. The main output of the research is the very last enclosure, where an analysis of 1100 Japanese plant names is to be found. Predmetom magisterskej diplomovej prace je analyza slovotvornej motivacie japonskych botanickych odbornych, ako aj ludovych pomenovani. Prva cast obsahuje teoreticke nazeranie na problematiku zpohladu botanickej taxonomie, lexikologie amorfologie. Predostiera terminologiu, ktora je potrebna pre pochopenie nasledujuceho vykladu. Druha cast popisuje metodologiu vyskumu a strucne prezentuje kategorie motivantov, podla ktorych je rozdelena tretia cast. Tretia, prakticka cast komentuje slovotvornu motivaciu vybranych japonskych botanickym pomenovani. Sporadicke poznamky pod ciarou prirovnavaju vyznamy obsiahnute v japonskej nomenklature s europskou. Hlavnym vystupom vyskumu je posledna priloha, v ktorej sa nachadza analyza 1100 japonskych pomenovani.
