Construction and use of subaquatic light trap for capture of living insects

This diploma thesis deals with construction of water light trap modified for capturing air-breathing water insects. The aim of this thesis is to design and prove such alterations in construction of the existing water light trap (utility model number 31825) to allow the captured specimens access to water surface and to verify these modifications in an experiment. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá konstrukcí vodní světelné pasti upravené pro odchyt vodního hmyzu dýchajícího vzdušný kyslík. Hlavním cílem této práce je navrhnout a vyzkoušet takové úpravy konstrukce stávající světelné pasti (číslo zápisu užitného vzoru 31825) tak, aby umožnovala uloveným exemplářům přístup k vodní hladině a tyto modifikace experimentálně ověřit.

Teaching optics using the black box method in elementary school

The thesis focused on using black box method in teaching optics at the middle school. As part of the thesis, five black boxes were created using both plane and spherical mirrors and lenses. A portion of the thesis is dedicated to the creation and description of the making process of these boxes in the 123Design program for subsequent 3D printing. An integral part of the thesis is creating five sets of work sheets, one set for each black box. The worksheets contain tasks for students at various levels of difficulty and help to integrate the black boxes into teaching. The usability verification was at first done through open interviews with experts, who liked this method and the worksheets form and they expressed interest in using them in their own classes. Some experts requested access to G-codes for 3D printing and solutions, which was subsequently provided in the thesis. There was a movable animation with its solution created for each black box. After integrating the black boxes worksheets into the lessons, where students worked in pairs, and later processing the completed worksheets, it was verified that this method is suitable for teaching, because thanks to student activity it helps with the visualization and realization of already acquired knowledge. Feedback also revealed that students enjoy this form of teaching, because it is new for them, interesting and the detailed worksheets are a good aid in their work. Práce se zaměřila na využití metody černé schránky v rámci výuky optiky na základní škole. V rámci této diplomové práce bylo vytvořeno pět černých schránek využívajících rovinná i kulová zrcadla a čočky, přičemž část práce se věnuje tvorbě a popisu výroby těchto schránek v programu 123 Design pro následný 3D tisk. Nedílnou součástí práce je vytvoření pěti sad pracovních listů, tedy jedné sady pro každou černou schránku. Pracovní listy obsahují úkoly pro žáky na různých úrovních obtížnosti a pomáhají uvést černé schránky do výuky. Ověřování využitelnosti proběhlo nejprve formou otevřených rozhovorů s odborníky z praxe, kterým se tato metoda a forma pracovních listů líbily a projevili zájem o jejich využití ve svých hodinách. Někteří vznesli požadavek dostat k dispozici G-kódy pro 3D tisk a formu řešení, čemuž bylo následně v práci vyhověno. Pro každou černou schránku byla vytvořena pohyblivá animace s jejím řešením. Po zařazení Pracovních listů s černými schránkami do výuky, které žáci zpracovávali ve dvojici, a pozdějším zpracováním vyplněných listů bylo ověřeno, že je tato metoda ve výuce vhodná, neboť díky aktivitě žáků napomáhá k názornosti a uvědomění si již získaných vědomostí. Ze zpětných vazeb také vyplynulo, že žáky forma výuky touto metodou baví, protože je pro ně nová, zajímavá a podrobné pracovní listy jsou jim dobrou pomůckou při práci.

Child with autism spectrum disorder at primary school

The topic of this thesis is children with autism spectrum disorder in primary school. The main goal of the thesis is to provide information on how the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorder in primary school is carried out. Initially, the work focuses on the characteristics of autism itself and its history. It then presents the classification of autism spectrum disorders, their prevalence, and the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders. Following this, the thesis concentrates on the care and education of these children, families with autistic children, educational opportunities, and the inclusion of these students in regular primary school classes. The practical part presents a multiple case study concerning the inclusion of children with autism spectrum disorder in primary school. It also focuses on the cooperation between the school and the families of these children. This is a qualitative research investigation. The methods used were interviews (with teachers, SPC staff, and parents of children) and observation. The result is the finding that the inclusion of students with autism in regular schools improves their social and educational experiences, mainly due to individual educational plans, professional support, and an inclusive environment. Tématem této diplomové práce je dítě s poruchou autistického spektra na prvním stupni ZŠ. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je přinést informace o tom, jak probíhá inkluze dětí s poruchou autistického spektra na prvním stupni ZŠ. Práce se v počátku soustředí na charakteristiku samotného autismu a jeho historii. Dále je uvedena klasifikace poruch autistického spektra, četnost výskytu a diagnostika poruch autistického spektra. Poté se práce zaměřuje na péči a vzdělávání těchto dětí, na rodinu s autistickým dítětem, možnosti vzdělávání a inkluze těchto žáků do tříd základních škol běžného typu. Praktická část prezentuje vícečetnou případovou studií týkající se inkluze dětí s poruchou autistického spektra na prvním stupni ZŠ. Současně je zaměřena na spolupráci školy s rodinami těchto dětí. Jedná se o kvalitativní výzkumné šetření. Použitými metodami byly rozhovor (s učiteli, pracovníky SPC, rodiči dětí) a pozorování. Výsledkem je zjištění, že inkluze žáků s autismem ve školách běžného typu zlepšuje jejich sociální a vzdělávací zkušenosti, a to hlavně díky individuálním vzdělávacím plánům, odborné podpoře a inkluzivnímu prostředí.

Individual approach to pupils in the period after long-term distance learning

The diploma thesis Individual approach to pupils in the period after long-term distance learning deals with how pupils and teachers perceived and managed the situation during the COVID-19 pandemic and the rapid transition to an online environment, which was once largely unknown. These data were obtained through qualitative data research of a mixed design. The aim of this thesis is to map the entire situation in czech education during the massive pandemic of the COVID-19 coronavirus, with a focus on the impressions of pupils and teachers. The data obtained from the qualitative research will serve as a basis for the practical part, in which the advantages and disadvantages of the distance learning method and other pitfalls of this modern form of teaching will be presented. Among other things, we also looked marginally at the impact of the pandemic and distance learning on pupils with special educational needs and pupils with a pedagogical support plan, who experienced the transition to distance learning somewhat differently than ordinary pupils. Diplomová práce Individuální přístup k žákům v době po dlouhodobé distanční výuce se zabývá tím, jak žáci a učitelé vnímali a zvládali situaci v průběhu pandemie COVID-19 a rychlý přechod do online prostředí, které bylo doposud jednou velkou neznámou. Tato data byla získána prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu dat smíšeného designu. Cílem této práce je zmapovat si celou situaci v českém školství v době masivní pandemie koronaviru COVID-19, se zaměřením na dojmy žáků a učitelů. Data, získaná z kvalitativního výzkumného šetření, budou sloužit jako podklad pro praktickou část, ve které budou prezentovány výhody a nevýhody distančního způsobu výuky a další úskalí této novodobé formy vyučování. Mimo jiné jsme se okrajově zabývali také dopadem pandemie a distanční výuky na žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a žáky s plánem pedagogické podpory, kteří prožívali přechod na distanční výuku poněkud odlišně než běžní žáci.

Non-directive parenting styles

This dissertation focuses on non-directive styles of education and how they are perceived by first grade teachers. The literature section presents findings on education, educational styles and non-directive approaches. In the practical part of the thesis, a qualitative interview method was used to collect data. The aim of the research-investigation was to find out what experiences first grade teachers have with children with non-directive education. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na nedirektivní styly výchovy a jak je vnímají učitelé na první stupni. V literární části jsou uvedeny poznatky o výchově, výchovných stylech a nedirektivních přístupech. V praktické části diplomové práce byla pro sběr dat využita kvalitativní metoda rozhovoru. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, jaké mají učitelé prvního stupně zkušenosti s dětmi s nedirektivní výchovou.

The Effect of Nutrition on the Immune System of People with Sedentary Type of Employment

The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out the nutritional habits and the influence of nutrition on the immune status of the individuals with a sedentary type of job. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis includes a description of the function of the immune system and a description of the effect of individual nutrients (e.g. amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants etc.) on the immune system. The practical part of the diploma thesis deals with finding out nutritional habits and the possible influence of nutrition on the immune status of the respondents through a standardized questionnaire. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit výživové návyky a vliv výživy na imunitní stav jedinců se sedavým typem zaměstnání. Teoretická část diplomové práce obsahuje popis funkce imunitního systému a popis vlivu jednotlivých živin (například aminokyselin, vitaminů, antioxidantů, probiotik apod.) na imunitní systém. Praktická část se zabývá zjišťováním výživových návyků a případným vlivem výživy na imunitní stav respondentů prostřednictvím standardizovaného dotazníku. Tato diplomová práce by mohla být přínosem pro jedince zajímající se o zlepšení svého zdraví prostřednictvím výživy.

Listening and listening activities in music education at the second grade of elementary school

The diploma thesis Listening and listening activities within Music education at the second grade of primary school deals with the issue of listening. According to the curriculum, listening is a compulsory part of Music education. The main aim of the thesis is to create the comprehensive overview of the most important information about this activity, which will serve other teachers to motivate pupils properly and increase their interest in active and conscious music listening. The first chapter explains why listening is so important and how it affects us. The second chapter is devoted to hearing and hearing organ. Another question is how Music education, listening and listening activities are described by the Curriculum framework and curriculum. The last chapter describes what knowledge we need to make listening effective and what we can analyse within individual demonstrations. The research part contains the list of recommended tracks for 7th class of the second grade. Worksheets and methodological sheets for teachers are created for each composition. These worksheets and activities are tested by pupils during one school year. To find out the effectiveness of practicing proper listening, pupils will fill in the pretest and post-test after the research. Diplomová práce Poslech a poslechové činnosti v hudební výchově na 2. stupni základní školy pojednává o problematice poslechů. Poslech je dle kurikula povinnou součástí hodin hudební výchovy. Hlavním cílem práce je vytvořit komplexní přehled nejdůležitějších informací o této aktivitě, který bude sloužit ostatním učitelům, aby dokázali žáky správně motivovat a zvýšit tak u nich zájem o aktivní a uvědomělý poslech hudby. První kapitola se bude zabývat tím, proč je poslech tak důležitý, a jak na nás působí. Druhá kapitola je věnovaná sluchu a sluchovému orgánu. Další problematikou je, jak hudební výchovu, poslech a poslechové činnosti popisuje RVP a kurikulum. V poslední kapitole budu popisovat, jaké vědomosti je třeba mít, aby byl poslech efektivní a co na jednotlivých ukázkách můžeme analyzovat. Výzkumná část bude obsahovat seznam doporučených skladeb pro 7. ročník druhého stupně. Ke každé skladbě budou vytvořené pracovní listy a metodické listy pro učitele. Tyto pracovní listy a aktivity budou zkoušeny se žáky 7. ročníku po dobu jednoho školního roku. Pro zjištění efektivnosti nácviku správného poslechu, budou žáci vyplňovat pretest a po výzkumu i posttest.

The Theme of Concentration Camp in English Literature (Heather Morris, John Boyne, Wendy Holden)

This thesis aims to conduct a comparative analysis of three novels that seek to convey the horrors of World War II to readers through the theme of concentration camps: The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris, Born Survivors by Wendy Holden, and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne. The theoretical introduction will provide a brief characterization of the depiction of World War II in English and American literature. Separate chapters will introduce the authors and the basic plots of the stories. Subsequent chapters will focus on the characters including prisoners and war criminals. The thesis will also address how fiction is intertwined with reality in these novels. Lastly, the thesis will examine the similarities and differences in portraying concentration camps in the novels for adult readers (Morris and Holden) and in the story aimed at children (Boyne). Cílem práce je komparativní analýza tří románů, které se snaží čtenářům přiblížit hrůzy druhé světové války prostřednictvím tématu koncentračního tábora: Tatér z Osvětimi Heather Morris, Narodili se, aby přežili Wendy Holden a Chlapec v pruhovaném pyžamu Johna Boyna. Náplní teoretického úvodu bude stručná charakteristika obrazu druhé světové války v anglické a americké literatuře. Samostatné kapitoly přiblíží osobnosti autorů i základní zápletky příběhů. Následující kapitoly budou zaměřeny na charakteristiku postav včetně vězňů a válečných zločinců. Práce se bude zabývat také otázkou, jak je v románech propojena fikce se skutečností. V neposlední řadě bude zkoumat podobnosti a rozdíly v líčení koncentračního tábora v románech pro dospělé čtenáře (Morris, Holden) a v příběhu, který je určený dětem (Boyne).

Interest in natural objects and their practical knowledge among pupils of the primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of knowledge in natural objects among primary school students and their interest in them. The pupil's knowledge was assessed in the form of a didactic test. As part of the work, an evaluation of the textbooks by Nová škola and Taktik publishers was also carried out. An analysis of current courses in primary education and science is also mentioned in this study. The findings of this research should be utilised for creating an idea of what knowledge primary school students have of natural objects. Diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním znalostí přírodnin u žáků 1. st. základních škol a jejich zájmu o ně. Znalosti žáků byly zjišťovány formou vytvořeného didaktického testu. V rámci práce byla také provedena analýza učebnic nakladatelství Nová škola a Taktik, se kterými dané ročníky pracují. Zmiňuje se zde i průběh výuky prvouky a přírodovědy na 1. stupni v současné škole. Výsledky výzkumu mohou být užitečné pro vytvoření si představy o tom, jaké znalosti přírodnin mají žáci na 1. st. ZŠ.

The thesis deals with the topic Teacher's support of a student going through a challenging period. The aim of the thesis was to find out what types of challenging life situations teachers encounter with pupils. How do they work with children and how do they work with the school counseling department. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is based on the literature. It focuses on the non-traditional role of the teacher, challenging life situations of pupils and the teacher's intervention in these situations. The role of the school counselling centre is explained. In the practical part, the qualitative research will be rebuilt and the experiences and teaching activities of several teachers who have encountered pupils in challenging life situations will be summarized. Based on the interviews conducted, the research questions that are the aim of this thesis are elaborated and then evaluated. Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem Učitelova podpora žáka procházejícího náročným obdobím. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, s jakými typy náročných životních situací žáků se učitelé setkávají. Jak s dětmi pracují a jakým způsobem spolupracují se školním poradenským pracovištěm. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je vypracovaná na základě odborné literatury. Věnuje se netradiční roli učitele, náročným životním situacím žáků a učitelovou intervencí v těchto situacích. V práci je vysvětlena role školního poradenského pracoviště. V praktické části bude představen kvalitativní výzkum a shrnuty zkušenosti a pedagogická činnost několika pedagogů, kteří se setkali s žáky, kteří se ocitli v náročné životní situaci. Na základně uskutečněných rozhovorů jsou zpracovány a následně vyhodnoceny výzkumné otázky, které jsou cílem této práce.
