View of sexually transmitted diseases in case of assisting professions

2011 - Czech Name of the dissertation is:``View of sexually transmitted diseases in case of assisting professions``. I decided to deal with sexually transmitted diseases because the number of these diseases is relatively high and numbers of newly ill people keep increasing. This opinion is confirmed by the fact that, for example, number of HIV positive individuals in the Czech Republic slightly exceeded 100 in the year 1990 whereas the number HIV positive individuals was 1,344 in the year 2009, i.e. 19 years later. Considering also the fact that this disease is an incurable one and treatment of this disease is demanding on the ill people from thein mental as well as physical aspekt and considering also the total effect for society, it is very important indeed to pay attention on this issue. Theoretical part divides sexually transmitted diseases according the often used division in classic generál diseases. They include inguinal granuloma, gonorrhoea, soft chancre, syphilis and venereal lymphogranuloma. Another diseases which include HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, genital herpes, infections caused by the virus Human papillom, scabies or pubic louses were dealt with only marginally. The last chapter is focused on assisting professions. The goal of the work was to look at the issue from the point of view of assisting professions staff. To find out whether they are interested in the issue, what is their awareness, etc. This goal has been met. Conversations, for example, revealed that employees who are in everyday contact with people who live risky way of living (drug addicts, homeless people, etc.) are better aware of issue concering sexually transmitted diseases than respondents who work with children or seniors. None of the respondents underwent any additional training in this issue. The selected methodology was represented by quality research and the selected method was represented by partially controlled interview with six selected representatives from assisting professions. The overall knowledge will be used not only to find out but also the to complete or correct information on the issue for employees in assisting professions. Information on the issue can be further disseminated among clients via these professionals within primary prevention. Název této diplomové práce zní: ``Pohled na problematiku sexuálně přenosných nemocí u pomáhajících profesí``. Problematice sexuálně přenosných nemocí jsem se rozhodla věnovat proto, že počet těchto onemocnění je poměrně hojně zastoupen a počty nově nemocných narůstají. Pro potvrzení tohoto názoru svědčí fakt, kdy například počet HIV pozitivních v České republice v roce 1990 mírně překračoval číslo 100, zatímco o 19 let později, tj. v roce 2009, činil již počet HIV pozitivních 1344. Přihlédneme-li také k faktu, že se jedná o nevyléčitelné onemocnění, jehož léčení je náročné jak na psychickou, resp. i fyzickou, stránku nemocného, tak i na celkový dopad pro společnost, je dané problematice vskutku velmi důležité věnovat pozornost. V teoretické části byly sexuálně přenosné nemoci rozděleny podle často používaného dělení na klasické pohlavní nemoci. Zde patří ingvinální granulom, kapavka, měkký vřed, syfilis a venerický lymfogranulom. Dalším zmíněným onemocněním, mezi které patří HIV/AIDS, hepatitida, genitální opar, infekce způsobené Human papilloma virem, svrab či pubické vši byla pozornost věnována jen velmi okrajově. V poslední kapitole je zájem zaměřen na pomáhající profese. Cílem práce bylo nahlédnout na zmíněnou problematiku očima pracovníka pomáhající profese. Zjistit, zda-li se o tuto problematiku zajímá, do jaké míry je informován apod. Tento cíl byl naplněn. Z rozhovorů bylo například zjištěno, že lepší přehled ohledně problematiky sexuálně přenosných nemocí mají pracovníci, kteří jsou v denním kontaktu s lidmi žijícím rizikovým způsobem života (lidé drogově závislí, lidé bez domova apod.), než-li respondenti věnující se dětem či seniorům. Doplňující vzdělávání, které by bylo věnováno této problematice neabsolvoval ani jeden z dotazovaných respondentů. Zvolenou metodikou byl kvalitativní výzkum a zvolenou metodou byl polořízený rozhovor se šesti vybranými zástupci pomáhajících profesí. Souhrn poznatků bude sloužit nejen ke zjištění, ale také k případnému doplnění či poopravení, informací (poznatků) o dané problematice u pracovníků v pomáhajících profesích. Prostřednictvím těchto profesionálů bude možné, v rámci primární prevence, šířit informace o dané problematice dále mezi klienty. Activation and education programmes for seniors in the region of Karlovy Vary

2009 - Czech The thesis deals with the topic of Activation and education programmes for seniors in the region of Karlovy Vary. The topic is divided here into two parts. The first, theoretical part deals with the old age as a biopsychosocial problem, i.e. it evaluates the demography of old age, the concept of healthy ageing, it deals with medical and social geriatric diagnostics and, above all, with individual activation programmes, their creation and principles, importance and practical application. The work especially includes education programmes, it describes their particularities and use, as well as their teaching at colleges in the region of Karlovy Vary. The second, research part consists of the determining of hypotheses, the aim of the work, and the methodology of the research. I have chosen the quantitative method of research by which three questionnaires were assessed: for respondents living in old people´s homes, for respondents living at home and for professional workers dealing with activation and education programmes in old people´s homes. Further a comparative analysis of the questionnaire for respondents living in old people´s homes as well as those living at home was carried out. The subject of this analysis are the questions of the same aim and their statistic compiling. All the data are compiled with the help of charts, tables and statistic programme SPSS. The most important is the testing of the hypothesis concerning the knowledgeability of respondents about activation and education programmes and related participation in such programmes, and further hypotheses inquiring whether professional workers (course lectors) have enough information on the entire spectrum of these programmes. The discussion is directed at the evaluation of the research targets, practical implementation of knowledge into practice, and especially at additional new facts, which I revealed during the research itself and during the statistic compiling of data. It is possible to say that the respondents must have information on the importance of activation and education programmes, on their taking place and the conditions of participation. Alike the professional staff holding or lecturing them should be professionally trained in courses. Thus the programmes will reach the desirable quality and their importance for the society will be significantly higher. Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem Aktivizačních a edukačních programů pro seniory v Karlovarském kraji. Téma je v práci členěno do dvou částí. První, teoretická část, se zabývá stářím jako problematikou biopsychosociální, tj. hodnotí demografii stáří, koncepci zdravého stárnutí, zabývá se zdravotně sociální geriatrickou diagnostikou a hlavně jednotlivými aktivizačními programy, jejich vytvářením a zásadami, jejich významem a praktickou aplikací. Zvláště jsou zařazeny programy edukační, popsána jejich specifika a využití a jejich výuka na vysokých školách Karlovarského kraje. Druhá, výzkumná, část práce, se skládá ze stanovení hypotéz, cíle práce a metodiky výzkumu. Byla zvolena kvantitativní metoda výzkumu, touto metodou byly zhodnoceny tři dotazníky: pro respondenty žijící v zařízeních pro seniory, pro respondenty žijící v domácím prostředí a pro profesionální pracovníky zařízení, kteří se zabývají aktivizačními a edukačními programy. Dále byla provedena komparativní analýza dotazníku pro respondenty žijící v zařízeních pro seniory a dotazníku pro respondenty žijící v domácím prostředí. Předmětem této analýzy jsou otázky stejného zaměření a jejich statistické zpracování. Veškerá data jsou zpracována za pomocí grafů, tabulek a statistického programu SPSS. Nejvýznamnější je testování hypotézy týkající se informovanosti respondentů o aktivizačních a edukačních programech a s ní související účast v těchto programech, a dále hypotézy, mají-li profesionální pracovníci (lektoři kurzů) dostatek informací o celém spektru těchto programů. Diskuze je zaměřena na zhodnocení cílů výzkumu, praktickou implementaci poznatků do praxe a zejména na další nové skutečnosti, k nimž jsem došla v souvislosti s realizací výzkumu a se statistickým zpracováním dat. Lze dodat, že respondenti musí mít informace o významu aktivizačních a edukačních programů, o jejich konání a podmínkách účasti. Stejně tak profesionální personál, který je pořádá, či sám lektoruje, by měl být v této oblasti odborně vzdělán či proškolen na kurzech. Pak tyto programy dosáhnou skutečné kvality a jejich význam bude pro společnost ještě mnohonásobně vyšší.
