The impact of mining industry on the economic development of Azerbaijan

The mining industry is a highly significant power in the global economy, taking a major place in the provision chain incomes. Although, the role of mining manufacturing differs and seriously varies at the country degree from an economy of a different, and it is not correctly recognized and occasionally even inexplicable. The global mining industry has flourished since the early 2000s; it has observed high productivity costs and as a result increasing income stages as well. Mining industry is a central sector of economy, in numerous developing economies, Azerbaijan being one of them. The economy of Azerbaijan has accomplished its post-Soviet change to a main petroleum-grounded economy, from one where the country possessed the most important role. The evolution to petroleum manufacture brought about extraordinary development records as ventures came online; getting 26.4 per cent in the year 2005 (second uppermost gross domestic product progression globally in the year 2005 just to Equatorial Guinea) and 34.6 per cent in the year 2006 (global maximum). Huge oil resources are a main supplier to the economy of the country. In the year 2019, total mining industry exports of the country accounted for USD 18,242,946 thousand, which represents the 93 per cent of the overall exporting products, of which the 91.2 per cent is made up from mineral fuels, oil and oil products of their distillation, bituminous substances, etc. For the reason that mining industry is vital for the economy of Azerbaijan, this thesis aims to analyze its impact on the economic development of the country, by the application of profound conceptual and empirical analysis. Těžební průmysl je velmi významnou silou v globální ekonomice, který zaujímá hlavní místo v zajišťování řetězce příjmů. Role těžební výroby se však v jednotlivých zemích vážně liší a není správně uznána a je občas dokonce nevysvětlitelná. Globální těžební průmysl vzkvétal od počátku 21. století; zaznamenala vysoké náklady na produktivitu a v důsledku toho také zvyšovala fáze příjmů. Těžební průmysl je ústředním odvětvím hospodářství v mnoha rozvojových ekonomikách, přičemž jednou z nich je Ázerbájdžán. Post-sovětská ekonomika Ázerbájdžánu se proměnila v ekonomiku založenou na ropě, která má v zemi nejdůležitější roli. Zatímco vznikly podniky, vývoj v ropné výrobě přinesl mimořádné záznamy o vývoji; získání 26,4 procenta v roce 2005 (druhý nejvyšší celosvětový vývoj hrubého domácího produktu v roce 2005 po Rovníkové Guineji) a 34,6 procenta v roce 2006 (celosvětové maximum). Obrovské ropné zdroje jsou hlavním dodavatelem pro ekonomiku země. V roce 2019 činil celkový vývoz těžebního průmyslu ze země 18,242,946 USD, což představuje 93 procent celkových vyvážejících produktů, z čehož 91,2 procent tvoří minerální paliva, ropa a ropné produkty z jejich destilace, živičné látky atd. Z důvodu, že těžební průmysl je pro ekonomiku Ázerbájdžánu životně důležitý, si tato práce klade za cíl analyzovat jeho dopad na ekonomický rozvoj země pomocí hluboké koncepční a empirické analýzy.

IFRS 9 - a new approach to financial instruments reporting

This diploma thesis deals with the new classification and measurement of financial instruments and quantifying the impacts on banking organizations after application of new standard IFRS 9. Since IFRS 9 superseded IAS 39, therefore this thesis makes a research and analysis on the financial reporting mechanism used before and after introduction of IFRS 9. Theoretical part of the thesis explains classification and measurement of IFRS 9, a qualitative comparison between IAS 39 and IFRS 9 and the different impacts on organizations by application of new standard. The practical part quantifies those impacts by analyzing financial statements and reports that may influence effectiveness, control and revenue for the 3 banking organizations from Czech Republic in their financial instrument reporting. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá novou klasifikací a oceňováním finančních nástrojů a kvantifikováním dopadů na bankovní organizace po aplikaci nového standardu IFRS 9. Protože IFRS 9 nahradil IAS 39, tato práce proto provádí průzkum a analýzu mechanismu účetního výkaznictví používaného před a po zavedení IFRS 9. Teoretická část práce vysvětluje klasifikaci a oceňování IFRS 9, kvalitativní srovnání mezi IAS 39 a IFRS 9 a různé dopady na organizace použitím nového standardu. Praktická část kvantifikuje tyto dopady analýzou finančních výkazů a zpráv, které mohou mít vliv na účinnost, kontrolu a výnosy 3 bankovních organizací z České republiky v jejich vykazování finančních nástrojů.

This thesis analyzes the proposals of the Bolivian government in force from 2006 to the present to combat issues of poverty and inequality. Describing the programs elaborated by the MAS government, which consist of three economic bonds, the Juancito Pinto bond (education), the Juana Azurduy bond (health) and Renta Dignidad (senior citizens). As well as analyzing the government's response to the housing situation. Describing the government agency AEVIVIENDA, its programs, and finally making an analysis of the situation in terms of quantitative and qualitative housing in relation to these programs. Demonstrating if indeed poverty and inequality has been improved during the period of Evo Morales government. Tato práce analyzuje návrhy bolivijské vlády platné od roku 2006 do současnosti s cílem bojovat proti chudobě a nerovnosti. Popisuje programy vypracované vládou MAS, které se skládají ze tří ekonomických podpor: podpora Juancito Pinto (vzdělání), podpora Juana Azurduy (zdraví) a Renta Dignidad (senioři).Také analýzuje reakci vlády na situaci v oblasti bydlení. Popisuje vládní agenturu AEVIVIENDA, její programy a nakonec provádí analýzu situace z kvantitativního a kvalitativního hlediska bydlení ve vztahu k těmto programům. Demonstruje, zda se v období vlády Evo Moralese skutečně zlepšila chudoba a nerovnost.

The bachelor thesis focuses on labour market in Ukraine. The main goal is to evaluate the flexibility of labour market in Ukraine, to represent it characteristics and to define possible measures for improving flexibility of labour market in Ukraine. The first part of the thesis focusses on theoretical background of the term flexibility, it types and forms. Further described in the bachelor thesis are detailed characteristics of labour market in Ukraine and its comparison to Czech Republic, which was chosen as a country to compare most of the Ukrainian’s statistics with. There can be found recommendations how to solve current issues with labour market flexibility in Ukraine in the final part of this thesis. Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na trh práce na Ukrajině. Hlavním cílem je zhodnotit flexibilitu trhu práce na Ukrajině, představit jeho charakteristiky a definovat možná opatření pro zlepšení flexibility trhu práce na Ukrajině. První část práce se zaměřuje na teoretické pozadí pojmu flexibilita, jeho typy a formy. Dále je v bakalářské práci popsána podrobná charakteristika trhu práce na Ukrajině a její srovnání s Českou republikou, která byla vybrána jako země, se kterou bude srovnávána většina ukrajinských statistik. V závěrečné části práce jsou uvedena doporučení, jak řešit současné problémy s flexibilitou trhu práce na Ukrajině.

This bachelor thesis focuses on research of the current trends on the Russian market of online services. The objective of this work is to give recommendations to start-ups that are just entering the sphere of online services. In order to analyse market trends, the Yandex company was studied due to its leading position on the Russian digital market. Available secondary data was analysed along with the primary data collected via questionnaire survey (n = 438) and in-depth interviews (n = 5). The main findings contain the most demanded categories of online services, the most frequently utilized gadget for online services use, the role of the interface design and the influence of demographical and geographical factors. Tato bakalářská práce se soustředí na výzkumu současných trendu na Ruském trhu online služeb. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo dát doporučení začinajícím firmám, které se jen zapojuje do sféry online služeb. Proto aby zanalyzovat tržní trendy, společnost Yandex byla prostudována kvůli jejímu vedoucímu postavení na digitálním trhu. Dostupné druhotné údaje byly prostudovány spolu s prvotnými údaji, které byly shromážděné prostřednictvím dotazníku (n = 438) a hloubkových rozhovorů (n = 5). Základní závěry obsahují nejžádanější kategorie online služeb, nejčastěji používaný gadget pro použití online služeb, role designu rozrhaní a vliv demografických a geografických faktorů.

Proposal of recommendations to Brno universities on how to attract Chinese students

With the trend of internationalization and globalization, there is an increasing number of Chinese students who choose to pursue higher education in European countries. The Czech Republic is not lagging behind either, the number of Chinese students is visibly growing. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the major factors influencing Chinese students’ decision-making of an overseas study destination and to provide marketing campaign recommendations to universities in Brno on how to attract more Chinese students. The main data source was primary research via in-depth interviews (n = 15) and online questionnaires (n = 158), group discussion and author’s own experience. The findings suggest that universities in Brno have the potential to win more Chinese students to study there. The city of Brno offers students a low-cost and attractive study environment. Recommendations for university managements were provided. Spolu s trendem internacionalizace a globalizace roste počet čínských studentů, kteří vy-hledávají vysokoškolsk vzdělání v Evropě. Česká republika nezůstává pozadu, počet čín-ských studentů narůstá i zde. Účelem této práce je zkoumat faktory, které ovlivňují čínské studenty při jejich rozhodování ohledně místa jejich zahraničního studia, a navrhnout do-poručení pro brněnské univerzity, jak přilákat více čínských studentů. Hlavním zdrojem primárních dat byly hloubkové rozhovory (n = 15), online dotazníkové šetření (n = 158), skupinová diskuse a autorčiny osobní zkušenosti. Výslekdy naznačují, že brněnské univerzity mají potenciál přilákat ke studiu více čínských studentů. Brno nabízí nákladově výhodné a atraktivní studijní prostředí. Práce navrhuje pro vedení univerzity v závěru doporučení.

The impact of EU financial aid on the economic development in Palestine: case study of impact on business sector

Financial aid has been one of the important tools to promote economic development in developing countries. Palestine is considered one of the highest recipients of financial aid. However, the Palestinian economy still suffers from major underdevelopment compared to other countries. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to assess the overall impact of the European Union’s (EU) financial aid in promoting economic development in Palestine. The thesis follows a qualitative approach, it provides an overview of the EU financial aid programmes and instruments that are used to support the Palestinian economy, which is followed by two case studies from the business sector that have been supported through the EU. The study found that the overall impact of the EU financial aid has been limited as most of the aid is focused on emergency assistance and only a small portion of the aid is allocated for development purposes. In addition to the political instability and Israeli restrictions that continuously cause deterioration of the Palestinian economy. The study provided recommendations for both the PA and the EU on how to improve the efficiency of the aid. Finanční pomoc je jedním z důležitých nástrojů podpory hospodářského rozvoje v rozvojových zemích. Palestina je mezi největšími příjemci finanční pomoci. Přesto ve srovnání s jinými zeměmi je palestinská ekonomika poměrně nerozvinutá. Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit celkový dopad finanční pomoci ze strany EU na hospodářský rozvoj Palestiny. Práce, postavená na kvalitativním přístupu, poskytuje přehled programů a nástrojů finanční pomoci EU zaměřených na rozvoj palestinského hospodářství a také předkládá dvě případové studie z podnikatelského sektoru podpořené EU. Autor práce dochází ke zjištění, že celkový dopad finanční pomoci EU je velmi omezený, neboť většina finanční podpory je zaměřena na mimořádnou pomoc a pouze malá část pro účely rozvoje. Dalšími překážkami jsou i politická nestabilita a restrikce ze strany Izraele, které dále zhoršují palestinskou ekonomiku. Autor práce v závěru poskytuje doporučení Palestinské Autonomii a EU, jak zlepšit účinnost pomoci.

This thesis outlines the basics of BI and education analytics using data visualization. The main objective of the thesis is to create an educational guide for a data visualization software – Tableau, while providing additional value through educational analytics of student and administrative performance based on data provided by Mendel University. Using this data key performance indicators are identified, and two use-cases are selected. The objective will be reached by using a five-field method for establishing a BI system. The result should be a comprehensive Tableau guide with individually visualized key performance indicators and two dashboards for the two selected use-cases. Práce popisuje základy BI a vzdělávací analytiky pomocí vizualizace dat. Hlavním cílem práce je vytvoření vzdělávacího průvodce pro software pro vizualizaci dat – Tableau, přidanou hodnotou práce je vzdělávací analýza studentských a administrativních výkonů na základě dat poskytnutých Mendelovou univerzitou v Brně. Pomocí těchto dat jsou identifikovány klíčové ukazatele výkonnosti a jsou vybrány dva případy použití. Cíle bude dosaženo pomocí metody pěti polí pro vytvoření systému BI. Výsledkem by měl být komplexní Tableau průvodce s individuálně vizualizovanými klíčovými ukazateli výkonnosti a dvěma dashboardy pro dva vybrané případy použití.

This Bachelor Thesis is about analysing the financial performance of the company Czech Airlines j.s.c. The analysis is focused on the period of time between 2014 and 2017. The work is structured into 5 chapters (Introduction, Theoretical Background, Methodology Description, Practical Part and Conclusion), the Theoretical Back-ground includes main definitions and analysis methods used later in the document followed by the methodology Description in which more elaboration on the chosen analysis methods is provided. Then the actual analysis is done in the fourth chapter using the CSA’s financial statements and lastly in the Conclusion the findings and suggestions are written. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou finanční výkonnosti společnosti Czech Airlines j.s.c. Analýza je zaměřena na období mezi 2014 a 2017. Práce je členěna do 5 kapitol (úvod, teoretická východiska, popis metodiky, prak-tická část a závěr), te-oretická část obsahuje hlavní definice a metody analýzy použité v praktické části a popis metod vybraných analýz. Samotná analýza je pak provedena ve čtvrté kapitole s využitím finančních výkazů ČSA a nakonec v závěru jsou popsány zjištění a návrhy.
