The Third Sector and Civic Participation in the Czech Republic

2004 - Czech The paper aims to make a complex analysis of how the third sector and civic participation function in the CR. It describes the types and structures of Czech NGOs, introduces a new typology of NGOs based on selected criteria, evaluates how the Czech third sector functions in the CEE context, and further elaborates on notions of participation among Czech citizens. The paper summarises the strengths and weaknesses of Czech NGOs and points to future opportunities and possible risks in this context. Příspěvek se snaží o komplexní analýzu vztahu a fungování třetího sektoru a občanské participace v ČR. Obsahuje typologii a strukturu českých neziskových organizací, představuje novou typologii na základě vybraných kritérií, jejich fungování v kontextu střední Evropy i charakter občanské participace coby zapojení občanů ve veřejné sféře. Autorka shrnuje všechna pro i proti českých neziskových organizací a jejich možný budoucí vývoj. Participation of tenants and social aspects of regeneration of large real estates

2004 - Czech The article aims to explain the term "participation", its content and meaning, different ways of participation. Potential assets of participation, reasons for the involvement of tenants in participation process are described. According to the extent of tenants empowerment could be distinguished different levels of participation, which were described. In addition, tools of participation and phases of participation in a refurbishment project are mentioned. Text vysvětluje pojem participace, jeho obsah a význam, různé formy participace. Popisovány jsou potenciální přínosy participace, důvody proč by měly obce/správní firmy angažovat nájemníky v procesu regenerace panelových sídlišť. Podle míry účasti nájemníků na rozhodování lze odlišit různé stupně participace, které jsou v textu rovněž popisovány. Zmíněny jsou nástroje participace a obecné fáze participace v rámci regeneračního projektu. The Conditions for Conducting Sample Surveys in the Czech Republic

It addresses the tradition of survey research, the breadth and depth of professional background, the market environment and competition, the possibilities for applying suitable methods in representative population surveys, and the degree of public willingness to participate in surveys. Studie vymezuje a popisuje okruhy podmínek, které určují možnosti provádění kvalitních výběrových šetření (odborné zázemí, tržní prostředí, výběr respondentů, participace veřejnosti), přičemž odkazuje nejen na odbornou literaturou, ale pracuje též se statistickými údaji, přehledy českého výzkumu či monitoringem zpráv a tiskových zpráv z předvolebních šetření. Basis of this small ädialogue forum'is made by spontaneous debates both of private persons and organizations. Results are still limited mostly thanks to non-complaint attitudes of the Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft. Příspěvek shrnuje u příležitosti desetileté existence konference Češi-Němci v Jihlavě obsahové zaměření diskusních témat rekapituluje výsledky dialogu českých zástupců s jednotlivci i organizacemi z řad sudetských Němců.
