This survey focused on Czech public’s attitudes towards fur animals, animal experiments and animals in circuses. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky omnibusového šetření Centra pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR, v.v.i., z listopadu 2015 zaměřeného na postoje české veřejnosti ke kožešinovým zvířatům. Výzkum mapoval, zda čeští občané nakupují výrobky obsahující pravé kožešiny, zda jsou dostatečně informováni o životních podmínkách zvířat chovaných v zajetí, jestli podporují zákaz chovu kožešinových zvířat, zákaz testování prostředků pro domácnost na zvířatech nebo zákaz chovu a drezúry volně žijících zvířat v cirkusech. Opinons of the Czech public toward the events on Ukraine - February 2015

2015 - Czech According to the  survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre, 47 % of Czech citizens are interested in current events in Ukraine.Respondents were also asked about their perception of the situation as a security threat, of the current activities of various groups in the conflict and about active participation of international community in solving the situation. Press release also contain a brief comparison with perception of ISIL´s activities. V únoru 2015 navázalo Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění na předchozí výzkumy postojů české veřejnosti k dění na Ukrajině. Do dotazníků pravidelného omnibusového šetření realizovaného v zimních měsících byly zařazeny otázky týkající se: 1) zájmu o dění na Ukrajině, 2) vnímání dopadů ukrajinské krize na bezpečnost Evropy a celého světa a 3) názoru na jednotnost nebo rozdělení Ukrajiny. Kromě postojů k dění na Ukrajině v nejaktuálnějším únorovém šetření, které proběhlo v období 2. – 9. 2. 2015, byly také přidaný otázky umožňující stručné srovnání s obavami z aktivit tzv. 2015 - Czech The research report analyses qualitative sociological data gathered in 2014 that concern opinions on the development of negotiations about the deep geological repository of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste in the Czech Republic. The first part of the report is dedicated to focus group discussions with inhabitants of localities preselected as possible sites for the repository, the second part focuses on outcomes of in-depth interviews with representatives of key stakeholders and experts. Výzkumná zpráva analyzuje kvalitativní sociologická data sesbíraná během roku 2014, která se týkají názorů na vývoj jednání o hlubinném úložišti vyhořelého jaderného paliva a radioaktivních odpadů v ČR. První část zprávy se věnuje skupinovým diskuzím s obyvateli lokalit vytipovaných pro výstavbu úložiště, druhá část se zaměřuje na výsledky hloubkových rozhovorů se zástupci významných účastníků jednání a s experty. Poverty in the Czech Republic: A Critical Look at EU Indicators

2015 - Czech National and cross-national data from EU-SILC surveys are used for various comparisons: of different indicators of poverty; of this data source with administrative data; of the time of remaining in poverty according to various indicators; of the situation in the Czech Republic with EU countries. The advantages of the “subjective” poverty indicator based on reporting on make ends meet are stressed. Národní a mezinárodní data šetření EU-SILC jsou využita k porovnání různých ukazatelů chudoby; k porovnání dat tohoto šetření s administrativními zdroji; k porovnání doby setrvání v chudobě podle jednotlivých ukazatelů; k porovnání situace v České republice se zeměmi EU. Oproti indikátorům EU prezentujeme výhody „subjektivního“ ukazatele chudoby založeného na výpovědi, že domácnost vychází s příjmy s velkými obtížemi.
