On optimal location of bins in a production line

The report deals with a particular problem of optimal production line configuration. Namely, in case that times of operations in a serial line differs, which can be caused also by random failures of devices, we study how stock bins located between operations can increase the line performance. The objective is an optimal bins selection, either by computations (precise or approximate) or by Monte Carlo method. Zpráva se zabývá dílčím problémem úlohy optimalizace výrobní linky. V případě různého taktu operací, což může být způsobeno i poruchovostí jednotlivých strojů, se zde uvažuje možnost zredukovat takto vzniklé prostoje pomocí mezizásobníků, které by vyrovnávaly výkyvy. Zabýváme se stanovením optimální velikosti zásobníků, ať již přesnými výpočty, aproximací nebo pomocí metod Monte Carlo.

This article describes a formal approach to decision making optimization in commodity futures markets. Our aim was to design optimal decision strategy generating decision at a given time. It contains theoretical description of estimation using Bayesian learning and approximate methods of dynamic programming. Finally, the original decision strategy using approximate methods of dynamic programming was designed. This strategy was tested by a series of experiments indicating our ability to construct pro table trading machine. Tato práce se zabývá využitím přibližných metod dynamického rozhodování na problém obchodování s futures kontrakty. Cílem byl navrhnout optimální rozhodovací strategii, tj. soubor rozhodovacích pravidel generující optimální rozhodnutí v každém čase t.Teoreticky odvozený algoritmus je pak následně experimentálně vyzkoušen, vyhodnocen a srovnáván s jinými návrženými algoritmy na reálných ekonomických datech. Na testovaných datech vykazoval nově navržený algoritmus lepší výsledky, než na který bylo navazováno.

This work deals with dynamic decision making via approximate dynamic programming in application to the futures trading. This work describes the theoretical description of dynamic decision making and approximate dynamic programming, you can also nd here the principles of Bayesian estimation, which is necessary for solving our task.We designed and described one of possible trading strategy { receding horizont strategy combined with anticipative strategy, the predictions of prices, which are necessary for using of this strategy, are made by certainty equivalence strategy and by Monte Carlo method. The designed strategy was tested on real data and unfortunately this strategy doesn t provide a prot. Tato práce se zabývá dynamickým rozhodováním za pomocí přibližného dynamického programování v aplikaci na obchodování s futures kontrakty. Obsahuje teoretický úvod do problematiky dynamického rozhodování a přibližného dynamického programování, stejnì tak popisuje principy bayesovského odhadování, které potřebujeme pro řešení našeho úkolu. Je zde navržena a popsána jedna z možných obchodovních strategií { metoda klouzavého horizontu s využitím anticipativní strategie, přičemž predikce cen potřebná pro použití této strategie je určována pomocí metody certainty equivalence a pomocí metody Monte Carlo. Tato strategie byla otestována na reálných datech a bohužel nedosahuje ziskových hodnot.

Version of straight-line propagation of harmful substances of HARP system being developed within grant project has been adopted for purposes of extensive variant calculations performed at EGP Prague. The product HARP has been used for selected accidental radioactivity releases from secondary circuit. Verze přímočarého šíření škodlivin systému HARP vyvíjeného v rámci grantového projektu byla adaptována pro potřeby obsáhlých variantních výpočtů prováděných v EGP Praha. Produkt HARP byl použit pro vybrané nehody úniku radioaktivity ze sekundárního okruhu.

The article concerns with a self-adaptation in digital circuits. The text includes the definition of the the SANE concept which directly uses the principles of the self-adaptation, a basic description of the SVP model which provides a computing representation in the SANE. In the text is a basic description of the UTIA HW platform (the SANE implementation) which was complemented with a job scheduler. The experiments with the job scheduler was described. Článek se zabývá samoadaptací v číslicových obvodech. V textu je uvedena definice konceptu SANE, který samoadaptaci přímo využívá, a základní popis modelu SVP, který řeší reprezentaci výpočtu v konceptu SANE. Jsou zde uvedeny dostupné platformy pro implementaci SANE konceptu. Jednou z nich je UTIA HW platforma. Ta byla rozšířena o plánovač úloh a byly s ní provedeny první experimenty.

Architecture of System for Dynamically Reconfigurable Communication Terminal

This paper describes possibilities of computing architecture implementation for dynamic data path generation for stream computation. An application example for this computing architecture is implementation of communication terminal described in this paper. The computing architecture is implemented on FPGA circuits supporting dynamic reconfiguration. FPGA functionality can be fully or partially changed during runtime when part of FPGA is static and part dynamic. Reconfiguration process is controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor could be implemented in FPGA static part (soft processor) or using an external integrated circuit. Tento článek popisuje možnost implementace architektury výpočetního systému, který by umožňoval dynamicky vytvářet datové cesty s výpočetními uzly, a realizovat tak aplikace pro proudové zpracovávání dat. Příkladem aplikace pro proudové zpracování dat je implementace vysílacího a přijímacího řetězce komunikačního terminálu, na kterou je zaměřen následující text. Architektura je realizována pomocí obvodu FPGA, který umožňuje dynamicky měnit svojí funkci za běhu – pomocí tzv. dynamické rekonfigurace. Funkce obvodu může být měněna úplně nebo jen částečně, kdy je část obvodu statická a část dynamická. Rekonfigurace je řízena softwarově pomocí programu řídícího mikroprocesoru, který lze implementovat ve statické části obvodu FPGA („Soft“ procesor) rovněž lze využít jakýkoliv jiný procesor připojený k obvodu.

Calculation of radiological consequences caused by accidental ejection of reactor control assembly. Release of radioactivity from primary circuit and its penetration into secondary circuit. Estimation of final release into living environment through PSA devices. Calculation of doses of irradiation and their comparison with limits from governmental regulations. Výpočty radiologických důsledků nehody způsobené vystřelením řídící havarijní kazety. Únik aktivního chladiva z primárního okruhu do sekundárního okruhu a dále řešení úniku aktivní páry přes PSA do atmosféry. Vypočtené dávky záření jsou srovnávány s limity stanovenými vládním nařízenímy.
