The semi-operation of preservation the content of historical audio documents

2024 - Czech The semi-operation system focuses on preservation of historical sound recordings recorded on 78rpm gramophone records. The system represents a comprehensive set of procedures and tools that correspond to the pillars of the workflow of the Sound Lab of the National Museum, ensuring the physical protection of gramophone records, the creation of descriptive metadata, the digital reformatting of their content and form, making them available through a digital library and storing digitized data for the purpose of long-term preservation. The chain of activities, methods and instruments within the semi-operation system aims to effectively and comprehensively identify, protect, digitize and make available the given content of historical audio carriers. The semi-operation system was tested as part of processing the collections of the National Museum and the Municipal Library in Prague. Poloprovoz se zaměřuje na záchranu obsahu historických zvukových nahrávek zaznamenaných na standardních gramofonových deskách. Poloprovoz představuje ucelený soubor procedur a nástrojů, které odpovídají pilířům pracovní linky (workflow) Zvukové laboratoře Národního muzea, zajišťujících fyzickou ochranu gramofonových desek, tvorbu popisných metadat, digitální reformátování jejich obsahu i formy, zpřístupnění prostřednictvím digitální knihovny a ukládání za účelem dlouhodobé archivace digitalizovaných dat. Řetězec aktivit, metod a instrumentů v rámci poloprovozu má za cíl efektivně a komplexní formou identifikovat, ochránit, zdigitalizovat a zpřístupnit daný obsah historických zvukových nosičů. Poloprovoz byl odzkoušen v rámci zpracování sbírek Národního muzea a Městské knihovny v Praze. Methodology of Research, Revision and Passporting of Historical Library Collections

2023 - Czech The aim of the methodology is to present a clear synthetic guide and tool for the care of the historical book collection, its analysis in terms of content, chronology and provenance and its synthesizing evaluation in the form of a study. In addition to a comprehensive secondary bibliography on the issue of the historical book collection in the broadest sense and an overview of current legislation, it also contains a clear guide to the global treatment of the historical book collection according to its specific type, as well as recommendations for its long-term management and care. The methodology also includes advice on the selection of books for conservation and restoration and on ensuring appropriate storage conditions for the historic book collection. Metodika má za cíl představit přehlednou syntetickou příručku a pomůcku péče o historický knižní fond, jeho analýzu z hlediska obsahového, chronologického a provenienčního a jeho syntetizujícího zhodnocení formou studie. Kromě obsáhlé sekundární bibliografie k problematice historického knižního fondu v nejširším slova smyslu a přehledu platných legislativních předpisů, obsahuje rovněž přehledného průvodce pro globální zpracování historické knižní sbírky podle jejího specifického typu a také doporučení pro její dlouhodobou správu a péči o ni. Součástí metodiky jsou rovněž rady při selekci knih určených ke konzervování a restaurování a při zajišťování vhodných podmínek uložení historického knižního fondu. Methodology of electrolytic metal cleaning methods using an electrolyte based on modified gels

2023 - Czech The methodology aims to provide simple instructions for conservators-restorers on how to set suitable conditions for local and gentle cleaning of corrosion products of silver and copper, in order to avoid mechanical damage to the surface of the object and influence of surrounding (especially organic) materials in the case of multi-material objects of a cultural heritage. As part of the methodology, various gels were studied in terms of their physico-chemical properties and their compatibility with chemicals from which an electrolyte can be prepared for the electrolytic cleaning of metal surfaces. Artificially patinated samples and selected real objects were used for the experiments. Furthermore, the possibility of using gel electrolytes for the study of corrosion products by the method of polarization measurements was investigated. The methodology can be applied not only in the improvement of procedures for the treatment of museum collection items, but also in the field of processing archaeological finds or in teaching conservation-restoration students and other related fields of cultural heritage care. Metodika má za cíl poskytnout jednoduchý návod pro konzervátory-restaurátory, jak nastavit vhodné podmínky pro lokální a šetrné očištění korozních produktů stříbra a mědi, aby nedošlo k mechanickému poškození povrchu předmětu a ovlivnění okolních (zejména organických) materiálů u multimateriálových předmětů kulturní povahy. V rámci metodiky byly studovány různé gely z hlediska jejich fyzikálně chemických vlastností a jejich kompatibilita s chemikáliemi, z nichž lze připravit elektrolyt pro elektrolytické čištění kovových povrchů. Pro experimenty byly použity uměle patinované vzorky a vybrané reálné předměty. Dále byla zkoumána možnost použití gelových elektrolytů pro studium korozních produktů metodou polarizačních měření. Metodiku lze uplatnit nejenom při zkvalitnění postupů ošetření sbírkových předmětů muzeí, ale i v oblasti zpracovávání archeologických nálezů anebo při výuce studentů konzervování-restaurování a dalších příbuzných oborů péče o kulturní dědictví. Text této publikace přináší vhled do problematiky filmové a audiovizuální výchovy v České republice. Rady a tipy jak lze k výuce na různých stupních neformálního vzdělávání přistupovat, a především přehled dvaceti čtyř inspirativních metod a cvičení, jichž lze ve výuce využívat. Může také sloužit jako inspirace pro formální vzdělávání. Text vychází ze zkušeností dvanácti odborníků s dlouholetou praxí v oboru, kteří předkládají čtenářům z řad pedagogů a lektorů svá know-how ve snaze ulehčit jim v pedagogické praxi. Práce je zaměřena na tvůrčí oblast filmové a audiovizuální tvorby i na práci s filmovou projekcí a následnou analýzou audiovizuálních děl, se kterými mohou pedagogové ve výuce kreativně pracovat. Návody, jak filmovou a audiovizuální výchovu efektivně začleňovat do vyučování, i odkazy na vhodnou literaturu a další lektorskou a metodickou pomoc začínajícím pedagogům. 2023 - Czech The aim of the methodology is to integrate ecosystem service assessment procedures into the processes of protection and management of specially protected areas. In particular, it is about expanding the assessment of ecosystem services of specially protected areas by the dimension of the involvement of local actors in the process of mapping and modeling ecosystem services. The methodology introduces procedures for participatory identification of benefits and values of nature, participatory creation of future development scenarios and participatory mapping and modeling of ecosystem services. These practices improve understanding and communication of the benefits and values of nature that protected areas contain and provide. Cílem metodiky je začlenit postupy hodnocení ekosystémových služeb do procesů ochrany a managementu zvláště chráněných území. Zejména se jedná o rozšíření hodnocení ekosystémových služeb zvláště chráněných územích o dimenzi zapojení místních aktérů do procesu mapování a modelování ekosystémových služeb. Metodika zavádí postupy pro participativní identifikaci přínosů a hodnot přírody, participativní vytváření scénářů dalšího vývoje a participativního mapování a modelování ekosystémových služeb. Tyto postupy zlepšují porozumění a komunikaci přínosů a hodnot přírody, které chráněná území obsahují a poskytují.
