2017 - Czech The February issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we tend to explore analytically the effect of (un)conventional monetary policy measures on shadow interest rates in the euro area and the USA. Based on our estimates, we show in this article that the effect of monetary policy measures on shadow rates differs depending on whether they were aimed at stabilising financial markets or further easing monetary conditions. We also indicate how the effects of measures taken by central banks can change depending on the current level of financial stress. Únorové vydání měsíčníku Globální ekonomický výhled přináší pravidelný přehled aktuálního i očekávaného vývoje ve vybraných teritoriích se zaměřením na hlavní ekonomické veličiny: inflaci, růst HDP, předstihové ukazatele, úrokové sazby, měnové kurzy a ceny komodit. V tomto čísle je naše pozornost dále analyticky zaostřena na zkoumání vlivu (ne)konvenčních opatření měnových politik na stínové úrokové sazby v eurozóně a Spojených státech. V článku je na základě námi provedených odhadů ukázáno, že vliv přijatých opatření měnových politik na stínové sazby se lišil dle toho, zda bylo jejich cílem stabilizovat propad finančních trhů nebo dále uvolnit měnové podmínky. Rovněž je zde naznačeno, jak se mohou efekty přijatých opatření centrálních bank měnit v závislosti na aktuální míře finančního stresu. 2017 - Czech The April issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we also discuss the risks to global economic growth in the medium term. Global growth is currently being threatened above all by non - economic factors (environmental risks, large - scale migration, terrorism). Economic risks may continue to hinder world growth, but they no longer dominate the global risks in the way they did immediately after the global crisis broke out. Dubnové vydání měsíčníku Globální ekonomický výhled přináší pravidelný přehled aktuálního i očekávaného vývoje ve vybraných teritoriích se zaměřením na hlavní ekonomické veličiny: inflaci, růst HDP, předstihové ukazatele, úrokové sazby, měnové kurzy a ceny komodit. V tomto čísle dále přinášíme diskusi rizik globálního ekonomického růstu pro střednědobý horizont. V současnosti ohrožují globální hospodářský růst především faktory, které nejsou svojí podstatou ekonomického charakteru (environmentální rizika, masová migrace, terorismus). Ekonomická rizika nicméně i nadále mohou brzdit vývoj světové ekonomiky, jen již v rámci globálních rizik nedominují tak, jako bezprostředně po vypuknutí globální krize. Report of the research of the Coleoptera in Bird Park Josefovké meadows 2017

2017 - Czech Research of the Coleoptera, was provided in year 2017 in Bird Park Josefovské meadows (Královéhradecký district, Czech Republic). This global entomology research is the first, which was in this locations make. By the research has been found 217 species of Coleoptera, therefrom 6 species are protected in Czech republic: Carabus ullrichi ullrichi Germar, 1824 , Carabus scheidleri helleri Ganglbauer, 1892, Cicindela campestris campestris Linnaeus, 1758, Brachinus explodens Duftschmid, 1812, Meloe proscarabaeus Linné, 1758 and Oxythyrea funesta (PODA, 1761). Also has been documented five species from Red list of invertebrate of Czech Republic (Farkač, Král & Škorpík 2005): Cryptocephalus pusillus Fabricius, 1777 – (EN); Ampedus nigroflavus (Goeze, 1777) – (NT); Coraebus elatus (Fabricius, 1787) – (NT); Acupalpus luteatus (Duftschmid, 1812) – (VU) and Grypus brunnirostris (Fabricius, 1792) – (VU). In the database of AOPK is also reported species Hydrophilus piceus (Linné, 1758) wich is documented in Red list (Farkač, Král & Škorpík 2005) as critically endangered. Toy or Toxic Waste?

2017 - Czech Our study is a continuation of the investigations of IPEN and Arnika that found octaBDE, decaBDE and HBCD in Rubik's cubes, children's toys and hair accessories, i.e., products that were not treated with these substances but made of recycled plastic. The previous study indicates that banned brominated flame retardants commonly found in hazardous electronic and building waste are recycled into new products where they were not present historically. We conducted additional sampling to further examine whether toxic substances are being recycled into children’s toys on the Czech market. Studie z prosince 2017 shrnuje základní výsledky analýzy přítomnosti toxických látek, konkrétně bromovaných zpomalovačů hoření v hračkách pro děti vyrobených z recyklovaných plastů. Studie vznikla v rámci projektu Recykluj bez jedů a jejím cílem je upozornit na problematiku recyklace plastů s obsahem toxických látek a jejich návratu do oběhu v podobě nových výrobcích.
