The bachelor's thesis contains a research investigation, based on the idea of why parents choose alternative education for their child. The answers to this question are obtained through a questionnaire, which is also the main element of the bachelor's thesis. The alternative ways of education in the Czech Republic are described in detail here. Furthermore, the thesis aims to guide and help parents who think about alternative education and are about to choose a kindergarten for their child. The research investigation of a quantitative nature is depicted in the practical part using the already mentioned questionnaire which is subsequently described and evaluated using a graph. Bakalářská práce obsahuje výzkumné šetření založené na myšlence, z jakého důvodu si rodiče vybírají alternativní vzdělávání pro své dítě, kde odpovědi na tuto otázku jsou získávány pomocí dotazníku, který je zároveň hlavním prvkem bakalářské práce. Jsou zde podrobně popsány alternativní vzdělávací směry, které se nacházejí v České republice. Dále práce slouží také jako podrobný průvodce a pomocník pro rodiče, kteří se chystají vybrat mateřskou školu pro své dítě a uvažují nad alternativním vzděláváním. Výzkumné šetření kvantitativního charakteru je v praktické části vyobrazeno pomocí již zmíněného dotazníku, který byl předložen respondentům, následně je popsán a vyhodnocen pomocí grafu.

The teoretical-project thesis aims to analyse the position of architecture in the education system for the first grade of Elementary School and to present architecture as an inspirational resource for teaching art education. The theoretical part further deals with a brief overview of the history of architecture, with its aim not being to conduct a detailed analysis of the topic, but to provide only a general insight. The practical outcome is an architectural-art project for the 4th and 5th grades, which provides students with a new perspective on architecture and simultaneously acquaints them with elements of construction through various techniques. Teoreticko-projektová diplomová práce si klade za cíl analyzovat postavení architektury ve vzdělávacím systému pro první stupeň ZŠ a představit architekturu jako inspirativní zdroj pro výuku výtvarné výchovy. Teoretická část se dále zabývá stručným přehledem historie architektury, přičemž není jejím cílem provádět podrobný rozbor tématu, nýbrž poskytnout pouze obecný vhled. Praktickým výstupem je architektonicko-výtvarný projekt pro 4. a 5. ročník, který zprostředkovává žákům nový úhel pohledu na architekturu a zároveň je seznamuje prostřednictvím různorodých technik s prvky stavitelství.

Environmental education in kindergarten and school garden as part of the educational proces

The bachelor thesis focuses on environmental education and its integration into kindergarten teaching. It discusses the possibilities of implementation of environmental education both indoors and outdoors and the use of a school garden as a means of educational process. The theoretical part examines the environmental education terminology, its broader context in terms of pre-school education, and fulfilment of the objectives of the current Framework Educational Programme for Pre-school Education. It points out the principles, methods and risks of environmental education in pre-school education and its interconnection with other disciplines, e. g. ecology. It also discusses the history of school gardens and their sensory perception. The practical part describes suggested activities for environmental education of pre-school children. The practically oriented activities are divided according to the seasons and put emphasis on engaging the children in the education process, meaning they learn about nature and build a relationship with it through these activities. Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na environmentální výchovu a její začlenění do výuky v mateřské škole. Práce se zabývá možnostmi realizace environmentální výchovy ve vnitřních i venkovních prostorách a využití školní zahrady jako nástroje edukačního procesu. Teoretická část se věnuje termínům propojeným s environmentální výchovou. Zmiňuje soulad předškolního dítěte a přírody v souladu s platným RVP PV. Poukazuje na zásady, metody a rizika environmentální výchovy v předškolním vzdělávání. V neposlední řadě se zabývá historií školních zahrad a užití zahrad všemi smysly. Praktická část se věnuje aktivitám pro rozvoj environmentální výchovy předškolních dětí, které jsou rozdělené do čtyř ročních období.

Individuals with mental disabilities serving a prison sentence

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of criminality of persons with mental disabilities and specifically the thesis discusses individuals with mental disabilities serving a prison sentence. Due to the fact that this issue has not been sufficiently processed so far and it is still a neglected topic, the aim of the work is not only to approach this issue, but also to find out how the prison system aimed at this target group works and how special education services is provided to convicts with mental disabilities. The diploma thesis also discusses the effectiveness of the methods used, whether the activities of the treatment program for convicts with mental disabilities can contribute to preventing or limiting the occurrence of recidivism. The theoretical part is focused on terminology and the explanation of basic concepts that are closely related to this issue and the practical part is devoted to research that was carried out as part of a professional internship in Vinařice Prison and Stráž pod Ralskem Prison. This is qualitative research, which is carried out in the form of a case study of the two mentioned prisons, specifically specialized departments to serving a prison sentence while data obtained from interviews with employees were used, which were supplemented with findings from observations and provided materials. Based on the results of the research, recommendations were drawn up to ensure the prevention of crime among people with mental disabilities. Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kriminality osob s mentálním postižením a konkrétně pojednává o jedincích s mentálním postižením ve výkonu trestu odnětí svobody. Vzhledem k tomu, že tato problematika nebyla doposud dostatečně zpracována a jedná se stále o opomíjené téma, je cílem práce nejen přiblížit tuto problematiku, ale zároveň zjistit, jak funguje vězeňský systém zaměřený na tuto cílovou skupinu a jakým způsobem je zajišťována speciálně pedagogická péče odsouzeným s mentálním postižením. Diplomová práce rovněž pojednává o účinnosti využívaných metod, tedy zdali aktivity programu zacházení pro odsouzené s mentálním postižením mohou přispět k předcházení či omezení výskytu recidivy. Teoretická část je zaměřena na terminologii a vysvětlení základních pojmů, které s touto problematikou úzce souvisí a praktická část se věnuje výzkumu, který byl realizován v rámci odborné stáže ve Věznici Vinařice a Věznici Stráž pod Ralskem. Jedná se o kvalitativní výzkum, který je proveden formou případové studie dvou zmíněných věznic, konkrétně specializovaných oddílů pro výkon trestu odsouzených s mentálním postižením, přičemž bylo využito dat získaných z rozhovorů se zaměstnanci, které byly doplněné o poznatky z pozorování a poskytnutých materiálů. Na základě výsledků výzkumu byla sepsána doporučení k zajištění prevence kriminality u osob s mentálním postižením.

Experiment kit for the law of force

This master's thesis deals with the development and implementation of an affordable trolley set intended for the demonstration of Newton's second law in the framework of teaching physics in primary and secondary schools. The aim of the work was to design, manufacture and test an educational tool that would not only be effective and pedagogically beneficial, but also available to a wide range of educational institutions thanks to the use of modern production technologies such as 3D printing. In the theoretical part of the thesis, a review of current pedagogical approaches to teaching physics and identification of key requirements for educational tools focused on physics experiments was carried out. The practical part is dedicated to a specific design and prototyping of the wheelchair set, including the development of associated worksheets and methodological materials for students and teachers. The pilot testing of the educational benefit of the wheelchair set was carried out in different classrooms, where the reactions of students and teachers were monitored and feedback was obtained for further improvement. The results of the testing showed that the wheelchair set significantly improves the understanding of Newton's second law among students and increases their motivation to actively participate in the learning process. This thesis provides a detailed overview of the development, application and testing research of the innovative teaching tool and its significant benefits for teaching physics. The potential of integrating modern production technologies into the development of educational materials and their influence on making quality and interactive education in the natural sciences more accessible is emphasized. Tato magisterská práce se zabývá vývojem a implementací cenově dostupné vozíkové soupravy určené pro demonstraci druhého Newtonova zákona v rámci výuky fyziky na základních a středních školách. Cílem práce bylo navrhnout, vyrobit a otestovat vzdělávací pomůcku, která by byla nejen efektivní a pedagogicky přínosná, ale také dostupná pro široké spektrum vzdělávacích institucí díky využití moderních výrobních technologií, jako je 3D tisk. V teoretické části práce byla provedena revize současných pedagogických přístupů k výuce fyziky a identifikace klíčových požadavků na vzdělávací pomůcky zaměřené na fyzikální experimenty. Praktická část se věnuje konkrétnímu designu a prototypování vozíkové soupravy, včetně vývoje přidružených pracovních listů a metodických materiálů pro žáky a učitele. Pilotní testování vzdělávacího přínosu vozíkové soupravy bylo realizováno v různých třídách, kde byly sledovány reakce studentů a učitelů a byla získána zpětná vazba pro další zlepšení. Výsledky testování ukázaly, že vozíková souprava podstatně zlepšuje porozumění druhého Newtonova zákona mezi studenty a zvyšuje jejich motivaci k aktivní účasti na výukovém procesu. Práce přináší podrobný přehled o vývoji, aplikaci a výzkumném testování inovativní výukové pomůcky a jejích významných přínosů pro výuku fyziky. Je zdůrazněn potenciál integrace moderních výrobních technologií do vývoje vzdělávacích materiálů a jejich vliv na zpřístupnění kvalitního a interaktivního vzdělávání v přírodních vědách.

Mathematics textbooks for secondary schools from the point of view of beginning teachers.

This master thesis deals with mathematics textbooks designed for the lower-secondary school. The aim of the work was to find out which mathematics textbooks are the mostly used by teachers in elementary schools in České Budějovice, how and to what extent teachers use textbooks and how do they evaluate them. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the concept of a textbook, its function, structure, the issue of selection of a textbook and the results of research related to how teachers use textbooks. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey carried out between teachers of mathematics at the lower-secondary school in Ceske Budejovice. At first, work procedure and the research method are described and then the results of the research are provided. Based on research, the most used textbooks for the sixth grade of elementary school are compared between themselves from the perspective of a novice teacher. The conclusion of the practical part of my diploma project is devoted to comparing the topic of axial symmetry in the selected textbooks that were chosen by the teachers in the questionnaire included in this thesis. Diplomová práce se zabývá učebnicemi matematiky určenými pro 2. stupeň základní školy. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaké učebnice matematiky jsou učiteli nejpoužívanější na základních školách v Českých Budějovicích, jak a v jakém rozsahu je učitelé využívají či hodnotí. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část vymezuje pojem učebnice, její funkci, strukturu, problematiku výběru učebnice a výsledky výzkumů vztahující se na to, jak učitelé učebnice používají. Praktická část se opírá o dotazníkové šetření provedené mezi učiteli matematiky na 2. stupni základních škol v Českých Budějovicích. Nejprve je popsán postup práce, výzkumná metoda a poté jsou uvedeny výsledky výzkumu. Na základě výzkumu jsou učiteli nejpoužívanější učebnice pro 6. ročník porovnány mezi sebou z pohledu začínajícího učitele. Závěr praktické části se věnuje srovnání tématu Osová souměrnost ve vybraných učebnicích.

The use of textbooks in the teaching of natural history from the point of view of teachers

This diploma thesis investigates which textbooks and other materials teachers use for preparation and teaching while teaching at the 2nd grade of elementary school. The main goal of the diploma thesis was to find out how intensively teachers use textbooks for teaching natural history, and what kind of specific publishers they prefere, what other teaching materials teachers use. And also teachers' opinions on individual components of textbook sets. The research sample consisted of a total of 41 primary school teachers of the 2nd grade, mainly in the South Bohemian Region. As a research tool for data collection, I used the questionnaire survey method. The constructed questionnaire consists of 20 questions that relate to the choice of textbooks, preferred characteristics of textbooks, the influence of textbooks on the content of teaching and the adaptation of teaching texts. The evaluation of results was made verbally accompanied by graphic form (pictures). Tato diplomová práce zjišťuje, jaké učebnice a jiné materiály využívají učitelé k přípravě a výuce při výuce na 2. stupni základní školy. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak intenzivně učitelé využívají učebnice pro výuku přírodopisu a jaké konkrétní nakladatelství preferují, které další výukové materiály učitelé využívají. Dále zjistit názory učitelů na jednotlivé součásti učebnicových souborů. Výzkumný vzorek tvořilo celkem 41 učitelů 2. stupně základní školy převážně v Jihočeském kraji, Jako výzkumný nástroj pro sběr dat jsem využila metodu dotazníkového šetření. Zkonstruovaný dotazník se skládá z20 otázek, které se týkaly volby učebnic, preferovaných vlastností učebnic, vlivu učebnic na obsah výuky a adaptace učebních textů. Vyhodnocení zjištěných výsledků bylo provedeno slovně s doprovodem grafické formy (obrázky).

Personal growth of a kindergarten teacher

Bachelor thesis is focused on personality growth of an early years teachers, their personal and professional development, their ability to self-reflect and the way they take care of their self-betterment. Theoretical part states the requirements for teacher's personality and further focuses on theories of personality by C. G. Jung, C. R. Rogers, Z. Helus and their approach to upbringing and children education. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research inquiry that was implemented in the form of semistructured interviews with five early years teachers. During the interviews respondents focused their answers around their professional development but the research showed that everyone went through certain level of personal development which mirrors their approach to children and that is by striving for respectful and effective communication. All respondents have some form of self-reflection on regular basis. It can be in their thoughts or in written form. They are developing through seminars, podcasts or university education. They apply various psychohygiene methods in their lives. Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na osobnostní zralost pedagogů mateřských škol, jejich osobní a profesní vývoj, schopnost sebereflexe a jakým způsobem o sebe pečují a pracují na svém seberozvoji. Teoretická část práce uvádí požadavky na osobnost učitele a dále se zaměřuje na teorie osobností C. G. Junga, C. R. Rogerse, Z. Heluse a jejich postoje k výchově a vzdělávání. Praktická část je věnována kvalitativnímu výzkumnému šetření, které bylo realizováno formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pěti předškolními pedagogy. Při rozhovorech se respondenti zaměřovali především na profesní stránku svého rozvoje, nicméně z výzkumu vyplynulo, že všichni prošli určitým osobnostním vývojem, který se odráží i v jejich přístupu k dětem a to snahou o respektující a efektivní komunikaci. K určitému způsobu sebereflexe u nich dochází pravidelně, ať už v jejich myšlenkách, nebo písemnou formou. Rozvíjejí se například skrze semináře, podcasty a studiem vysoké školy. Ve svém životě uplatňují různé metody psychohygieny.

Bachelor thesis introduces communication method Tiger's world and its usage in kindergarten's environment. Theoretical part of the thesis is based on cognitive, emotional, and social development, communication, and child drawing development in preschool age. It also introduces concept of Communication types and communication method Tiger's world by its respective authors Kamila Kopsová and Petr Kops. Research objective was to find out how can we use Tiger's world method in kindergarten conditions. To fulfill this objective, research interviews were set up with four different lectors of Tiger's world method. Lectors introduced the method, its pros and cons and their own experience with children in preschool age. Interviews are backed by two brief output records created by the author of this thesis. Bakalářská práce představuje metodu komunikace Tygří svět a její využití v prostředí mateřských škol. Teoretická část představuje nejprve kognitivní, emoční, sociální vývoj a vývoj komunikace a kresby dítěte v předškolním věku. Dále je představen koncept komunikačních typů a metoda komunikace Tygří svět od autorů Kamily a Petra Kopsových. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem lze využít metodu Tygří svět v prostředí mateřské školy. Pro naplnění cíle byly vedeny rozhovory se čtyřmi lektorkami metody Tygřího světa. Lektorky představovaly metodu, její přínos i rizika, také vlastní zkušenosti s dětmi předškolního věku. Rozhovory jsou doplněny stručným záznamem autorčiných dvou výstupů v mateřské škole.

Teaching science outdoors

The aim of the thesis is to suggest possible educational programmes on the topic of "Meadow ecosystem", within the framework of primary school Science curriculum for 4th grade learners. The educational programmes are suggested both for outdoor and indoor learning. The thesis provides an awareness about outdoor teaching and offers some methodically developed units, including several worksheets. Both programmes were verified with 4th grade classes at ZŠ Třešť, in a normal way inside the classroom and outside as well. Modern technologies such as mobile phones and tablets were included into the teaching methods. The level of success was measured by pre-test and post-test system. These tests were realized a week before and a week after the learning block. The results show that learning in outdoor environment can be more effective than learning inside the classroom. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce bylo navrhnout výukové programy v rámci předmětu přírodověda pro žáky 4. ročníku základní školy na téma ekosystém louka. Výukové programy jsou navržené pro výuku ve venkovním prostředí a pro výuku běžně ve třídě. Práce umožňuje získat povědomí o výuce ve venkovním prostředí a také nabízí metodicky rozpracované vyučovací bloky s pracovními listy. Oba výukové programy byly ověřeny přímo na ZŠ Třešť běžně ve třídě a také ve venkovním prostředí se třídami ve 4. ročníku. Do výukových programů jsou také zařazeny moderní technologie (mobilní telefon, tablet). Úspěšnost byla vyhodnocována systémem pre-test (test vstupních znalostí) a post-test (test výstupních znalostí). Testy byly realizovány týden před výukou a týden po ní. Z výsledků vyplývá, že výuka ve venkovním prostředí může být pro žáky efektivnější než výuka běžně ve třídě.
