Converting PET bottles into printing filament

This thesis deals with the development of a machine for converting PET bottles into printing filament. The theoretical aspect of the thesis is mainly focused on the history of 3D printing, comparison of its methods and sustainability. An important part of the thesis is also a chapter on the motivation to create the machine and a research of available solutions. Based on the choice of suitable machine design, the machine was built and tested. Instructions for its construction were created and uploaded to the Printables portal. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou stroje na přeměnu PET lahve na tiskový filament. Práce se v teoretické rovině věnuje především historii 3D tisku, srovnání jeho metod a samotné udržitelnosti. Důležitou součástí práce je i kapitola o motivaci k vytvoření stroje a rešerši dostupných řešení. Na základě zvolení vhodné konstrukce stroje byl tento vytvořen a otestován. Byl vytvořen návod na jeho sestavení a vložen na portál Printables.

Bachelor´s thesis focuses on the use of storytelling amongst preschool children. Objective of thesis is to explore the possibilities of developing prosocial behaviour in preschool children through storytelling. The theoretical part deals with the importance of reading and storytelling in preschool education, characteristics of preschool children with an emphasis on the prosocial behaviour in relation to area of Self and Others (RVP PV). The practical part utilizes a book for children´s of own production, evaluated by teachers at a kindergarten. Evaluation happens through interviews. Results will be included in the final form of the children´s book. Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na využití příběhu u dětí předškolního věku. Cílem práce je zjistit možnosti rozvoje prosociálního chování dětí předškolního věku prostřednictvím využití příběhu. Teoretická část se věnuje významu čtení a příběhu v předškolním vzdělávání, charakteristice dítěte předškolního věku s akcentem na oblast prosociálního chování ve vztahu k oblasti Já a ten druhý (RVP PV). V praktické části je využita dětská kniha vlastní produkce, která je evaluována učitelkami v mateřské škole. Evaluace je realizována pomocí rozhovorů. Výsledky budou zahrnuty do finální podoby dětské knihy.

Mechanics in Physics Olympiad tasks

The subject of the Bachelor's thesis is the analysis of the contents of tasks from all categories of Physics Olympiads and the creation of a statistical perspective on the number of tasks from the field of mechanics and its subfields in individual categories. The analysis deals with selected ten retrievable years of Physics Olympiads. Based on the participants' results, category D was further analyzed in detail. Předmětem bakalářské práce je zanalyzování obsahů příkladů všech kategorií fyzikálních olympiád a vytvoření statistického pohledu na počet příkladů z oboru mechaniky a jejích podoborů v jednotlivých kategoriích. Analýza se zabývá vybranými deseti dohledatelnými ročníky fyzikálních olympiád. Na základě výsledků účastníků pak byla podrobněji analyzována kategorie D.

This bachelor's thesis deals with a topic from the field of jewelry, which constitutes an integral aspect of human cultural history. The theoretical part of the work discusses jewelry, its functions and types, and also maps the development of jewelry in the period of ancient cultures. The practical part documents the process of crafting original porcelain jewelry, drawing loose inspiration from organic motifs and the cultural heritage of ancient Egypt. Tato bakalářská práce zpracovává námět z oboru šperkařství, které je nedílnou součástí dějin lidské kultury. Teoretická část práce pojednává o šperku, jeho funkcích a typech, dále mapuje vývoj šperkařství v období starověkých kultur. Praktická část dokumentuje tvorbu autorského porcelánového šperku, který byl volně inspirován organickými motivy a kulturou starověkého Egypta.

Ways to enhance perception and understatndig of fairy tales or stories in children aged 1 to 3 years

The aim of the work was to devise as many ways as possible to enhance the perception and comprehension of fairy tales or stories in children aged one to three years and to verify them in practice. The theoretical part focuses on an overview of the benefits of reading fairy tales and stories for the development of reading pre-literacy, cognitive development, language, pereption, memory, as well as emotions, attention, motivation, and other areas. It also includes a characterization of the developmental periond from 1 to 3 years. In the practical part, literary templates that are most suitable for the selected group were mapped out. The selected literary templates were methodially preapared for working with children of the given age group, various methods were tested that can be used when working with fairy tales or story with a group of children. These activities were carried out with the children and subsequently evaluated. Cílem práce bylo vymyslet co nejvíce způsobů, jak zefektivnit vnímání a porozumění pohádek či příběhů u dětí od jednoho do tří let a ověřit je v praxi. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na přehled přínosů čtení pohádek a příběhů pro rozvoj čtenářské pregramotnosti, kognitivního rozvoje, řeči, vnímání, paměti, ale také emocí, pozornosti, motivací a dalších oblastí. Součástí je i charakteristika vývojového období od 1 do 3 let. V praktické části byly zmapovány literární předlohy, které jsou pro zvolenou věkovou skupinu nejvhodnější. Vybrané literární předlohy byly připraveny metodologicky pro práci s dětmi daného věku, byly vyzkoušeny různé metody, které lze využít při práci s pohádkou či příběhem se skupinou dětí. Tyto aktivity byly realizovány s dětmi a následně evaluovány.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on research on the offer and availability of toys in kindergarten and after-school clubs and their comparison. This research hopes to discover which specific types of toys are the favourite of this particular age group and if it's possible to help children manage the transition from kindergarten to primary school via toys. The theoretical part focuses on toys and games in the context of development and education, including the role of toys and games and the impact of the environment on the adaptation of children and toys through the lens of pedagogy. The research part includes conclusions made from the interviews. It examines games and toys preferred by children, social interactions during games, the influence of space and environment, usage of games in practical pedagogy and the importance of toys in adaptation to the new learning environment. Obtained information can be convenient for educators and parents trying to support the children during this important milestone in their lives. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zkoumáním nabídky a dostupnosti hraček v mateřské škole a školní družině, a jejich porovnáním. Cílem je zjistit, jaké konkrétní druhy hraček jsou nejoblíbenější u dětí tohoto věku a zda lze prostřednictvím známých hraček pomoci dětem při přechodu z mateřské školy do základní školy. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na hru a hračku v souvislosti s vývojem a vzděláváním, včetně role hraček a her, vlivu prostředí na adaptaci dětí a pedagogického pohledu na hračky. Výzkumná část zahrnuje poznatky z rozhovorů a zkoumá preferované hry a hračky dětí, sociální interakce při hře, vliv prostoru a prostředí, využití her v pedagogické praxi a význam hraček při adaptaci na nové vzdělávací prostředí. Získané poznatky mohou poskytnout užitečné informace pro pedagogy a rodiče, kteří chtějí podpořit děti v tomto důležitém životním mezníku.

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to present ideas for musical activities for kindergarten, which do not require the skill of playing an instrument on the part of the preschool teacher. The theoretical part contains the definition of the meaning of musical activities in kindergarten and their distribution - musical activities in accordance with the Framework Educational Program for preschool education and their methodical guidance in kindergarten. It also characterizes musical abilities of children in the preschool period according to their age. The practical part describes the implementation of musical activities in kindergarten and the evaluation of activities using the method of observation and interview. Cílem bakalářské práce je předložit náměty hudebních aktivit pro mateřskou školu, které nevyžadují u předškolního pedagoga dovednost hry na nástroj. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení významu hudebních činností v mateřské škole a jejich rozdělení - hudební činnosti v souladu s Rámcovým vzdělávacím programem pro předškolní vzdělávání a jejich metodické vedení v mateřské škole. Dále charakterizuje hudební schopnosti dětí v předškolním období podle jejich věku. Praktická část popisuje realizace hudebních aktivit v mateřské škole a evaluace aktivit metodou pozorování a rozhovoru.

Pupils' relationship to nature at the primary school level

The thesis focuses on finding out children's relationship with nature in primary school. The theoretical part describes the basic key concepts, the importance of nature for children's development, the causes and consequences of alienating children from nature and the influence of family and school background. Furthermore, the work focuses on outdoor teaching and its forms as well as the methods a teacher can use in teaching. This relationship is ascertained on the basis of a questionnaire created by psychologist and Dr. Jan Krajhanzl with a collective of authors. The practical part includes records from the questionnaire survey, which targeted fourth and fifth graders. Questions in the questionnaire are focused on pupils' experiences of nature, e.g. "What do you imagine when you say nature?" "Have you ever plucked an apple from a tree?" etc. Finally, the author compares the results of this study with previous surveys. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zjištění vztahu dětí k přírodě na prvním stupni základních škol. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní klíčové pojmy, význam přírody pro rozvoj dětí, příčiny i důsledky odcizování dětí přírodě a jaký vliv má rodinné či školní zázemí. Dále se práce soustředí na venkovní vyučování a jeho formy i metody, které může učitel při výuce použít. Tento vztah je zjišťován na základě dotazníku, který vytvořil psycholog a doktor Jan Krajhanzl s kolektivem autorů. Praktická část zahrnuje záznamy z dotazníkového šetření, jež je zaměřeno na žáky čtvrtých a pátých tříd. Otázky v dotazníku jsou soustředěny na zkušenosti žáků s přírodou, např. "Co si představíš, když se řekne příroda?", "Utrhnul/a jsi si někdy jablko ze stromu?", apod. Nakonec autorka porovnává výsledky této studie s předchozími průzkumy.

The effect of beta-alanine supplementation on aerobic exercise in adolescent athletes

Supplementation is generally increasingly popular at this time, so the aim of our bachelor thesis was to explore in more detail the effect of beta-alanine supplementation on aerobic load in adolescent athletes. We looked at how beta-alanine affects the performance and endurance of young athletes during physical activity. In total, 20 young athletes participated in the study, of whom 8 were boys and 12 were girls. They underwent two staged exercise tests over a four-week period. The athletes were randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group that supplemented beta-alanine and the control group that took placebo. The results showed that after four weeks of beta-alanine supplementation, there was a significant improvement in the overall time to exhaustion. Specifically, an increase of 7.4 % was observed. The running rate at the second ventilation threshold increased by 5.7 %. An important aspect was also the blood lactate value, which increased by 8.8 % three minutes after the end of the test. This increase in lactate suggests that beta-alanine supplementation resulted in greater exhaustion, resulting in increased lactate production. Next finding was that other parameters such as VO2max, maximum heart rate and final respiratory exchange rate did not change significantly. This indicates the specificity of the effects of beta-alanine under aerobic load in adolescent athletes. In conclusion, the results of this bachelor's thesis suggest a positive effect of beta-alanine supplementation on aerobic load in young athletes. This dietary supplement can be a useful tool for improving endurance performance and achieving better sports results in this specific group. Suplementace je obecně v této době stále více populární, tudíž bylo cílem naší bakalářské práce detailněji prozkoumat vliv suplementace beta-alaninu na aerobní zatížení u adolescentních atletů. Zaměřili jsme se na to, jakým způsobem beta-alanin ovlivňuje výkonnost a vytrvalost mladých sportovců během fyzické aktivity. Celkem se do studie zapojilo 20 mladých atletů, z nichž bylo 8 chlapců a 12 dívek. Ti absolvovali dva stupňované zátěžové testy v časovém rozmezí čtyř týdnů. Atleti byli náhodně rozděleni do dvou skupin: experimentální, která suplementovala beta-alanin, a kontrolní, která užívala placebo. Výsledky ukázaly, že po čtyřtýdenní suplementaci beta-alaninem došlo k významnému zlepšení celkového času do vyčerpání. Konkrétně byl zaznamenán nárůst o 7,4 %. Rychlost běhu při druhém ventilačním prahu se zvýšila o 5,7 %. Důležitým aspektem byla také hodnota laktátu v krvi, která se tři minuty po ukončení testu zvýšila o 8,8 %. Tento nárůst laktátu naznačuje, že díky suplementaci beta-alaninu se dostali do většího vyčerpání, což mělo za následek zvýšenou produkci laktátu. Dalším zjištěním bylo, že parametry jako je VO2max, maximální srdeční frekvence a finální poměr respirační výměny, se významně nezměnily. To ukazuje na specifičnost účinků beta-alaninu při aerobní zátěži u adolescentních atletů. Závěrem lze říct, že výsledky této bakalářské práce naznačují pozitivní vliv suplementace beta-alaninem na aerobní zatížení u mladých sportovců. Tento doplněk stravy může být užitečným nástrojem pro zlepšení vytrvalostního výkonu a dosažení lepších sportovních výsledků v této specifické skupině.

Self-regulation and executive functions of bilingual and multilingual children

This diploma thesis examines the relationship between bilingualism or multilingualism of children of elementary school age and their executive functions and self-regulatory abilities. The aim of this thesis was to map the language development of the children involved in the context of their language choice in problem situations in which the executive part of the brain is activated. The theoretical framework is mainly based on findings on bilingualism, neuropsychology and studies dealing with the effect of multilingualism on cognitive abilities. Specifically, it focuses on the definition of bilingualism and its classification, the typology of bilingual families and upbringing, as well as the description of individual executive functions and their training possibilities. The empirical part of the thesis uses a qualitative analysis of selected aspects observed in children during the performance of two selected tests involving executive functions (the Trail Making Test and the Tower of Hanoi). It also uses information about the children's language environment and development from their parents through a questionnaire. In addition, it draws on observations of children in the school environment and interviews directly with the participating children. The results suggest that children use their dominant language to complete more challenging cognitive tasks, which provides them with comfort for thought operations and expression. Targeted executive function training for these children, because of the very principle of executive functioning, should be conducted in the language in which they feel stronger and more confident. Tato diplomová práce zkoumá vztah mezi bilingvismem či multilingvismem u dětí ve věku povinné školní docházky a jejich exekutivními funkcemi a seberegulačními schopnostmi. Cílem této práce bylo zmapovat jazykový vývoj zapojených dětí v kontextu s volbou jejich jazyka v problémových situacích, při kterých dochází k aktivaci exekutivní části mozku. Teoretický rámec vychází zejména z poznatků o bilingvismu, neuropsychologie a studií zabývajících se vlivem vícejazyčnosti na kognitivní schopnosti. Konkrétně se zaměřuje na vymezení bilingvismu a jeho klasifikaci, typologii bilingvních rodin a výchovy, dále také na popis jednotlivých exekutivních funkcí a jejich možnosti tréninku. Empirická část práce využívá kvalitativní analýzu vybraných aspektů zpozorovaných u dětí v průběhu plnění dvou vybraných testů angažujících exekutivní funkce (Test cesty a Hanojská věž). Využívá také informací o jazykovém prostředí a vývoji dětí od jejich rodičů prostřednictvím dotazníku. Dále čerpá z pozorování dětí ve školním prostředí a rozhovoru přímo se zúčastněnými dětmi. Výsledky naznačují, že děti pro splnění náročnějších kognitivních úkolů využívají pro ně dominantní jazyk, který jim poskytuje komfort pro myšlenkové operace a vyjadřování. Cílený trénink exekutivních funkcí u těchto dětí by z důvodu samotného principu exekutivního fungování měl probíhat v jazyce, ve kterém se cítí silnější a sebevědomější.
