Split Softening as a Problem of Machine Learning

2005 - Czech Softening splits in decision trees has ability to grow up quality of a classifier. This article concerns with some aspects of an optimization task to find such softening that reaches the best classification on training data. Experiments show, that improvement occurs on test data as well. Změkčování hran v rozhodovacích stromech umožňuje zlepšení predikce klasifikátoru. Tento článek ukazuje některé aspekty optimalizační úlohy nalezení takového změkčení, které dosahuje nejlepší klasifikace na trénovacích datech. Experimenty ukazují, že ke zlepšení dochází i na testovací množině. Data Structure Estimation - Rule Based Algorithm

2005 - Czech The data structure estimation may provide a connection between the semantic web vision and currently used web sources containing no semantic description of presented information. It enables information from web pages to be processed by semantic web tools with the best to be known about these sources, with the source estimated data structure. The paper gives a method description and presents its usage for a inductive logic programming task. The advantages of a rule-based system usage is given as well. Metoda odhadování struktury dat spojuje vizi sémantického webu a dnešní webové datové zdroje, které převážně neobsahují žádnou doprovodnou sémantiku prezentovaných informací. Aby bylo možné tyto zdroje použít pokročilými nástroji sémantického webu, je potřeba sémantiku prezentovaných dat alespoň odhadnout. Příspěvek popisuje takovou metodu, ukazuje její použití pro úlohy induktivního logického programování a jmenuje výhody použití pravidlových systémů pro její implementaci. Unlimited Evolutionary Growth of the Computational Power of Self-Reproducing Automata and Other Results

2005 - Czech We design two original computational models - viz. a globular universe and the autopoietic automata - capturing essential features of evolution: the construction of self-reproducing evolutionary automata via self-assembly and genetic information transfer from the parents to their offsprings. Within this framework we show the unlimited growth of the computational power of automata during their evolution and we characterize the power of lineages of such automata with the help of interactive Turing machines. Popíšeme původní výpočetní modely - globulární vesmír a autopoietické automaty - které zachycují podstatné výpočetní aspekty evoluce: konstrukci sebereprodukčních evolučních automatů pomocí sebesestavování a přenos algoritmicky modifikovatelné genetické informace na potomka. V tomto rámci ukážeme neomezený růst výpočetní síly automatů během evoluce a pomocí interaktivního Turingova stroje charakterizujeme výpočetní sílu rodových linií automatů. Construction of GLIF Model and Knowledge Ontologies

2005 - Czech Knowledge acquired in different branches is possible to represent in a branch guidelines form. GLIF model is mostly used for text guidelines formalization. Knowledge ontologies are comprehended as an explicit specification of system of terms and patterns which model a specific part of the world. The aim of this article is to outline possibilities of knowledge ontologies usage in a stage of GLIF model construction from branch guidelines. Získané znalosti v různých oborech je možné reprezentovat ve formě oborových doporučení. Textová doporučení lze formalizovat grafickým GLIF modelem (GuideLine Interchange Format). Znalostní ontologie je chápána jako explicitní specifikace systému pojmů a zákonitostí modelující určitou část světa. International Nomenclatures and Metathesauruses in Healthcare

2005 - Czech The article describes various international nomenclatures and metathesauri used in healthcare. The main emphasis is put on UMLS, especially on UMLS Methasaurus, which we use for mapping of professional health terminology. The article describes efforts to verify practical usability of internationally used terminological thesauri and classifications. For that purpose attributes of Minimal Data Model for Cardiology, Data Standard of Ministry of Health of CR and chosen commercial hospital systems are used. Článek popisuje různé mezinárodní nomenklatury a metatezaury používané ve zdravotnictví. Hlavní důraz klade na UMLS a zejména na UMLS Metathezaurus, který využíváme při mapování odborné zdravotnické terminologie.
