2006 - Czech The 6th Czech-Polish Conference on Geology of the Upper Silesian Coal basin in traditional meeting of experts of both countries. Presented conference papers deal with wide problems - sedimentary evolution and tectonics, daling creation of digital models of coal deposits, petrography of rocks and coal, physical and chemical properties of rocks and coal. 6. česko-polská konference o geologii hornoslezské pánve je tradičním setkáním odborníků obou zemí. V rámci konference jsou prezentovány příspěvky zabývající se velmi rozsáhlou problematikou - sedimentárním vývojem a tektonikou, datování,tvorbou digitálních modelů uhelných ložisek, petrografií hornin a uhlí, fyzikálními a chemickými vlastnostmi hornin a uhlí. New possibilities of nuclear analytical methods using accelerator Tandetron 4130 in Nuclear Physics Institute of ASCR

2006 - Czech The new accelerator (unique in Czech Republic) makes realisable to fundamentally develop the present analytical possibility and to put on the new technique of material modification and synthesising of advanced materials and structures. We report on new analytical methods - RBS-channeling, ERDA-TOF, ion microprobe. These methods give us opportunity to study crystalline materials in interstitial positions, to achieve the lateral resolution less than 1 micrometer and the depth resolution better than 1 nm. New accelerator produces wide range of ion masses, so the ion implantation is very important material modification technique. Nový urychlovač Tandetron unikátní v ČR poskytuje nové možnosti diagnostiky materiálů, výzkumu a syntézy materiálů s využitím iontových svazků. Poskytuje iontové svazky od vodíku po zlato s energiemi okolo 20MeV. Představujeme stávající jaderné analytické metody RBS, ERDA, PIXE, PIGE a dále byly presentovány nové metody RBS-kanálování, ERDA-TOF a mikrosvazek, které budou instalovány do roku 2007 a významně rozšíří analytické možnosti pracoviště. Tyto metody umožňují dosáhnout laterální rozlišení pod 1 mikrometr a hloubkové rozlišení okolo 1 nm. Rovněž poskytují možnosti studia krystalických struktur v jejich intersticiálních polohách. Dále bude zprovozněna implantace, kterou lze použít pro vývoj a modifikaci materiálů. Determination of lanthanides in agricultural crops by instrumental and radiochemical neutron activation analysis

2005 - Czech The lanthanide elements were measured in soils and agricultural crops collected in an area polluted by emissions from a phosphate fertilizer plant. Concentrations of lanthanides in the soil and crop samples were determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Selected crop samples were also analyzed using radiochemical neutron activation analysis (RNAA) based on alkaline-oxidative fusion of the irradiated samples followed by precipitation of REE oxalates. Elevated levels of lanthanides were found in some samples, especially in wheat chaff and parsley. Obsah lanthanidů (REE) v půdách a zemědělských produktech z oblasti znečistěné emisemi ze závodu na výrobu fosfátových hnojiv byl stanovován instrumentální neutronovou aktivační analýzou (INAA). Vybrané vzorky zemědělských produktů byly analyzovány též radiochemickou neutronovou aktivační analýzou (RNAA) založenou na alkalickém oxidačním tavení ozářených vzorků s následnou precipitací oxalátů REE. V některých vzorcích, zejména v pšeničných plevách a petrželi. Determination of 129I in environmental samples by neutron activation analysis

2005 - Czech A new RNAA method with pre-activation separation has been developed for determination of 129I and the ratio 129I/127I in environmental samples. Iodine is separated from samples prior to irradiation by combustion in oxygen stream and trapping in LIOH/(NH4)SO3 solution. Post-irradiation radiochemical separation of iodine consists in CHCl3 extraction of elemental iodine and PdI2 precipitation. The procedure has been verified by analysis of a reference seaweed sample Fucus serratus, and its basic metrological parameters were determined. The methods has been applied to analysis of aerosol filter, moss, lichen, sediment and bovine thyroide samples collected in the vicinity of the Temelín nuclear power plant. Byla vypracována metoda pro stanovení 129I a poměru 129I/127I ve vzorcích životního prostředí metodou RNAA s předaktivační separací. Izotopy 129I a 127I se separují ze vzorků před ozářením spalováním v proudu kyslíku a zachycením v roztocích LiOH a (NH4)2SO3. Radiochemická separace po ozáření je založena na extrakci elementárního jodu a srážení PdI2. Vypracovaná metoda a její základní metrologické parametry byly ověřeny analýzou referenčního vzorku mořské řasy Fucus serratus. Metoda byla použita k analýze vzorků aerosolů, mechů, lišejníků, sedimentů a štítných žláz skotu odebraných v okolí jaderné elektrárny Temelín.
