This thesis is focused on the tabloids. It deals with the concepts of media communication, media, mass media, journalism and journalistic style. The main objective is to capture the development of two Czech tabloids Blesk and Aha!. The thesis examines the number of pages, price, graphic design, headlines, thematic focus, vocabulary and photograps of the dailies. It's also focused on the use of the tabloid press in the teaching process. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na bulvární tisk. Zabývá se pojmy mediální komunikace, média, masová média, publicistický styl a žurnalistika. Hlavním cílem je zachycení vývoje dvou českých bulvárních deníků Blesk a Aha!. Práce zkoumá počet stran a cenu, grafické provedení, titulky, tematické zaměření, slovní zásobu a fotografie deníků. Také se zaměřuje na využití bulvárního tisku ve výuce.

The frequency and forms of expressing of adverbials in current journalism

The master thesis deals with frequency and form of adverbial in the current journalism. Its core is represented by a syntactic analysis of 40 texts extracted from "Hospodářské noviny" newspaper and 40 texts from "Plzeňský deník" newspaper. Main attention is brought to texts of analytic and journalism character, namely commentary and piece of news. The main objective is to find out which is the most frequent adverbial and in contrary which one is the less frequent and to try to define them from the point of view of their form. Diplomová práce se zabývá frekvencí a formou příslovečného určení v současné publicistice. Těžištěm práce je syntaktická analýza 40 textů excerpovaných z Hospodářských novin a 40 textů z Plzeňského deníku. Práce je zaměřena na texty analytického a zpravodajského charakteru, konkrétně se jedná o slohové útvary: komentář a zpráva. Cílem je zjistit typ příslovečného určení, který je ve sledovaných textech nejfrekventovanější a který naopak nejméně frekventovaný, a pokusit se je charakterizovat z hlediska jejich formy vyjádření.

Prologs in the oldest Czech hagiography and historiography

The basic aim of this diploma thesis is to examine the prologues in the eldest czech hagiography and historiography. This thesis deals mostly with the prologues of The Cosmas' Chronicle of the Czechs, Christian's legend and the prologue of Vita minor. One of the important parts of this thesis is also the familiarization with these primary sources. Prologues are very imporant parts of medieval works. In prologues, the author stands in a closer relationship with the audience, he presents to the audience various information of his life (age, position, education, name, sources). The author's effort to prepare the reader for the work is evident; the given information enable the reader to better comprehend and understand the work itself. Further, the thesis offers comparison of the prologues and the rules for creation of prologues in the Middle Ages. Moreover, various kinds of topoi have been introduced, always supported by examples from primary sources. Each author deals with the issues of topoi in another way. However, the main idea remains the same the autor denigrates or even humiliates himself. Základním úkolem diplomové práce bylo zkoumat prology v nejstarší české hagiografii a historiografii. Zabývali jsme se prology Kosmovy Kroniky Čechů, Kristiánovy legendy a prologem Vita minor. Mezi důležité části práce patří seznámení s těmito primárními prameny.
Prology jsou velmi důležitou částí středověkých děl, autor v nich navazuje užší vztah se čtenářem/ posluchačem a seznamuje nás s různými informacemi ze svého života (věk, postavení, vzdělání, jméno, zdroje). Patrná je autorova snaha čtenáře na dílo připravit a umožňují mu dílo lépe pochopit a porozumět mu. Proběhla komparace prologů, dále byly zachyceny zákonitosti tvorby prologů v období středověku. Byly uvedeny různé druhy topoi, vždy doložené příklady z primární literatury. Každý z autorů pojímá problematiku topoi různým způsobem, avšak základní myšlenka zůstává stejná - autor sám sebe haní, až shazuje.

The typology of the characters in the chosen works of the Czech prose with Jewish theme

The initial part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical background of the literal character typology. The analyses of three Czech texts connected by Jewish theme follow. Finally the analyses are compared in order to know if the texts contain some similar or the same litaral or non-literal features. Úvodní část práce poskytuje teoretický vhled do problematiky typologie literární postavy, pozornost je věnována trendům současným i historickému vývoji zvoleného fenoménu, postava je zasazena do širších literárních kontextů. Dále jsou analyzovány tři české texty se židovkou tematikou, a to z hlediska zmíněné typologie literární postavy. Následující srovnání rozborů se zaobírá otázkou, zda texty obsahují společné literární a mimo-literární atributy.

Using reproduction for work with text at primary school

The thesis deals with the reproduction of the stylistic elementary school in terms of use of the different types of templates. In the theoretical part is created by the insight into the theory of teaching style, especially the objectives and tasks of the style, assumptions, which the disciple enters the elementary school, the possibilities of motivation. In the main part of the thesis are in the form of questionnaires, sequencing of the experience of the teachers with the reproductions and sensory learning style preference. The main part of the work is the analysis of writing the fourth and fifth class. For each class was elected to another type of master-the master text, video demo, audio recording. Diplomová práce se zabývá slohovou reprodukcí na základní škole z hlediska používání různých druhů předlohy. V teoretické části je vytvořen vhled do teorie vyučování slohu, především cíle a úkoly slohu, předpoklady, se kterými žák vstupuje do základní školy, možnosti motivace. V hlavní části diplomové práce jsou formou dotazníků zjišťovány zkušenosti učitelů s reprodukcí a smyslové preference stylu učení žáků. Hlavní částí práce je analýza psaného projevu žáků čtvrtého a pátého ročníku. Pro každou třídu byl zvolen jiný typ předlohy - textová předloha, video ukázka, audio nahrávka.

Armed Resistance against the Communist Regime in Czechoslovakia and its Reflection in Contemporary Media

The presented thesis deals with the armed anti-communist resistance in the
fifties of the twentieth century in Czechoslovakia. The thesis evaluates
several cases under the current historiographical sources through the
perspective of contemporary media. It deals with the issue of Mašín
brothers, with the group "Black Lion 777", with the case of Babice and with
the resistance group of Vladivoj Tomek. These cases and their media
depiction are compared with one another. The diploma thesis explains the
contradictions in the-then interpretation of examined cases compared to the
current state of historical knowledge Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá ozbrojeným protikomunistickým odporem v padesátých letech dvacátého století v Československu. Práce hodnotí dobové případy podle současných historiografických zdrojů, v další části pak podle dobových médií. Zabývá se skupinou bratrů Mašínů, skupinou Černý lev 777, Babickým případem a skupinou Vladivoje Tomka. Tyto případy a jejich mediální reflexe jsou vzájemně komparovány. Práce objasňuje rozpory v dobovém pojetí případů oproti současnému stavu historické poznání.

The thesis on Regional Geography States Gulf of Guinea the project teaching using interactive whiteboards consists of several constituent parts.
The first part is a geographic research involving the collection, analysis, comparison and visualization of secondary data and information about the US Gulf of Guinea. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the physical geographic and socio-economic characteristics of the States Gulf of Guinea.
The main goal of this thesis is the content analysis of five geography student´s books for secondary schools, particularly parts concerning Africa. The purpose of the content analysis of these student´s books is a comprehensive idea of how and to what extent are the information of the Gulf of Guinea processed. The following part of the thesis is focused on project-based learning, which is theoretically presented. Moreover, there is also described the preparation and implementation of the proposed educational project "West Africa downstream of Niger, or how to live on the Gulf of Guinea", which has been verified in practice.
The evaluation of the project´s contribution to the pupils is summarized in the final part of the thesis. Diplomová práce na téma Regionální geografie států Guinejského zálivu - projektové vyučování s využitím interaktivní tabule se skládá z několika částí.
První částí je geografický výzkum spočívající ve sběru, analýze, komparaci a vizualizaci sekundárních dat a informací o státech Guinejského zálivu. V teoretické části je představena fyzicko-geografická a socioekonomická charakteristika států Guinejského zálivu.
Jedním z cílů této práce je obsahová analýza pěti učebnic zeměpisu pro střední školy, konkrétně těch částí, které se týkají Afriky. Účelem obsahové analýzy učebnic je ucelená představa o tom, jakým způsobem a do jaké míry jsou informace o Guinejském zálivu zpracovány.
Další část diplomové práce je zaměřena na projektové vyučování, které je zde krátce teoreticky představeno. Následně popisuje přípravu a realizaci navrženého výukového projektu Západní Afrika po proudu Nigeru, aneb jak se žije na pobřeží Guinejského zálivu, který byl ověřen v praxi.
V závěru této diplomové práce je zhodnocení projektu jeho přínos pro žáky.

The thesis is based on the method oral history that reflects the culture of ordinary life. This work explores the experience of two generations of Czech students and teachers. Cílem diplomové práce byla snaha zprostředkovat pohled na socialistické školství, život a volný čas očima tehdejších studentů a učitelů. Práce je založena na metodě orální historie, jako prostředku k zachycení kultury všedního dne. Práce se zaměřila na zmapování zkušeností dvou generací.

Crimea between Russia and Ukraine

The thesis deals with the problematic situation of the Crimean peninsula between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and with the evolution of triangular relationship between Crimea, Russia and Ukraine. Due to its strategic position, the Crimea was an object of interest of many superpowers, which have kept fighting for the Crimean territory. That is the reason why the peninsula was the part of many empires, from the Crimean Tatars, over the Ottoman Empire, Tsarist and Soviet Russia to independent Ukraine. Therefore its present ethnic structure is very unstable. Currently, Crimea is again under rule of Russian Federation, which has annexed it last year.
The evolution of this triangular relationship is analyzed in two ways. First way deals with relations of Russian Federation and Crimea. Analysis of this way is based on geopolitics. Second way deals with inner relation between Ukrainian government and Autonomous republic of Crimea. This is based is based on analysis of Ukrainian regionalism and Crimean separatism. The analysis of these ways is focused on the period of dissolution of the Soviet Union far to the annexation of Crimea by Russian Federation.
There are a several research questions to be answered. First question concerns why the Crimea is so important to the Russian Federation that the Russian Federation had to annex it. The author also addresses the question of why the annexation of the Crimea has happened at 2014 and not before. Finally, the author examines how Vladimir Putin advocated the annexation. Diplomová práce se zabývá problematickým postavením Krymského poloostrova mezi Ruskou federací a Ukrajinou a vývojem trojúhelníkového vztahu mezi Krymem, Ruskem a Ukrajinou. Krym byl kvůli své strategické poloze objektem zájmu mnoha velmocí, které o něj vedly krvavé boje. Poloostrov byl tak součástí mnoha říší, od krymských Tatarů, přes Osmanskou říši, carské a následně sovětské Rusko až po nezávislou Ukrajinu a proto je jeho dnešní etnická struktura velmi nestabilní. V současnosti se Krym opět dostal do područí Ruské federace, která jej anektovala na počátku minulého roku.
Vývoj tohoto trojúhelníkového vztahu je analyzován ve dvou liniích. První linie se zabývá vztahem Ruské federace vůči Krymu a Ukrajině. Analýza této linie je založena geopolitickém základu. Druhá linie se pak zabývá vnitrostátním vztahem mezi ukrajinskou vládou a Autonomní republikou Krym. Tato linie je založena na analýze ukrajinského regionalismu a krymského separatismu. Analýza linií je zaměřena na období od rozpadu Sovětského svazu až po anexi Krymu Ruskou federací.
Autor si v práci položil několik výzkumných otázek. První otázka se týká, proč je Krym pro Ruskou federaci tak důležitý, že jej musela anektovat. Dále se autor zabývá otázkou, proč došlo k anexi Krymu v roce 2014 a ne dříve. Nakonec se autor věnuje tomu, jak Vladimír Putin samotnou anexi obhajoval.

This diploma thesis analyzes the human rights agenda of the US development policy and the question of the US development aid allocation upon the promotion of human rights. It analyzes different categorizations of the human rights, their motivations and role. It describes the succession of the human rights agenda in the US development policy and to what extent is the American rhetorics of human rights used in practice. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá zakotvením lidských práv v rozvojové politice USA a otázkou alokace rozvojové pomoci na základě dodržování lidských práv. Zkoumá různá pojetí lidských práv, jejich motivaci a úlohu. Popisuje nástup lidsko-právní agendy do americké rozvojové politiky, a nakolik je americká rétorika lidských práv užívána v praxi.
