The viewer is designated for detailed analysis of records of selected seismic events; numerous numerical tools as well as interactive user friendly graphical controls are available. Prezentujeme nový interaktivní prohlížeč digitálních seismických signálů. Prohlížeč je primárně určen pro detailní analýzy záznamů vybraných seismických jevů, důraz je kladen na široké možnosti zpracování dat, jakož i na uživatelsky přátelské grafické ovládání. 2006 - Czech Seismological station Úpice was established by the Geophysical Institute ASCR at the Astronomical observatory in Úpice in 1986. Digital acquisition system was installed in the station in 2003. Data are transmitted in real time by Internet to the Geophysical Institute in Prague for a joint analysis with other stations of the Czech Regional Seismic Network. Seismologická stanice Úpice byla zřízena Geofyzikálním ústavem na hvězdárně v Úpici v r. 1986. V r. 2003 byla stanice modernizována digitální registrací. Data jsou přes Internet nepřetržitě přenášena do Geofyzikálního ústavu v Praze a vyhodnocována společně s ostatními stanicemi České regionální seismické sítě. Lengths of new grapevine sprouts as a contribution to reconstruction of spring air temperatures in the 18th century

2006 - Czech Lengths of grapevine sprouts measured on the 24th April since 1740 and archived in the town museum in Köszeg have been compared with air temperatures observed in March and April at different station in the vicinity. Correlation coefficients reach more than 0.6 and decrease with the increasing distance from Köszeg. Also the long-term course of spring temperature and grapevine sprouts corresponds to each other. Correlation was higher when temperatures were compared with logarithms or square roots of the grapevine lengths. Correlations of the lengths with other quantities were poor. These results confirm that during 1740 to 1780 spring temperatures were relatively high, surely higher than those in the 19th century. Délky letorostů vinné révy změřené dne 24. dubna každého roku počínaje 1740, archivované v městském muzeu v Köszegu, byly porovnány s teplotami vzduchu v březnu a v dubnu pozorovanými na blízkých stanicích. Hodnoty korelačních koeficientů dosahují více než 0,6 a klesají se vzdáleností stanice od Köszegu. Také dlouhodobý chod teploty vzduchu v jarních měsících a délek letorostů si vcelku odpovídají. Korelace byly vyšší při porovnání teploty s logaritmem nebo druhou odmocninou délky letorostů. Korelace délky letorostů s jinými veličinami byly slabé. Výsledky potvrzují, že v období 1740 až 1780 byly jarní teploty většinou poměrně vysoké, určitě vyšší než v 19. století. Solar energetic events in the years 1996-2004. Analysis of their geoeffectivness

2006 - Czech Data concerning solar energetic events published in the years 1996-2004 by the USAF/NOAA in the form of their daily reports were collected. Analysis of individual event types shows that the degree of their geoeffectivness depends both on their size and on their solar disc location. The results are summed up in tables and scatter graphs. Byla shromážděna data týkající se slunečních energetických eventů publikovaná v letech 1996-2004 v denních zprávách USAF/NOAA. Analýza jednotlivých typů těchto eventů ukázala, že míra jejich geoefektivity závisí jak na jejich mohutnosti, tak na místě jejich výskytu na slunečnínm disku. Výsledky jsou shrnuty do tabulek a rozptylových grafů. Several utilities for comfortable control of interactive graphical interface

2005 - Czech Standard MATLAB libraries do not include some tools for interactive figure processing, even if such functions are common in other graphical programs. Therefore we developed following graphical utilities: i, precise interactive selection of a figure area, ii repetition of a press-button function, iii movement of zoomed figure by slides and iv interactive graphical editor of cursor and button icons. Standardní MATLAB knihovny postrádají některé, v jiných programech běžné, ovládání pro zpracování obrázků. 2005 - Czech The paper analyses the successfulness of forecasts of the geomagnetic disturbed days, carried out in the years 2000-2003. A day was considered as disturbed if geomagnetic activity at the Budkov observatory reached the level "active" or higher. V práci je analyzována úspěšnost předpovědí geomagnetické aktivity magneticky porušených dní prováděných v letech 2000-2003. Za porušený byl považován takový den, ve kterém geomagnetická aktivita na observatoři Budkov dosáhla na mezinárodní škále stupně alespoň "active".
