Player and spectator – two perspectives, one actor?

The aim of the paper is to describe from the diferencies between the spectator and the player. It is discussed how the differnce is (de)constructe from the player´s perspective and how it is connected to the status fight of the player. Cílem příspěvku je nahlédnout z perspektivy sociologa na diferenci mezi divákem a hráčem, respektive popsat, jak je tato diference (de)konstruována z pozice hráče a jak souvisí s bojem o uznání jeho statusu oproti statusu diváka.

In the February survey CVVM focused on views of Czech citizens in the political system in the Czech Republic and to what extent can our political system be considered democratic. We asked respondents to assess the political system in our country before 1989, the political system after 1989 (in the 1990s), the current political system and their views on what political system will be in our country in 10 years. V únorovém šetření Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění SOÚ AV ČR, v.v.i., zjišťovalo názory českých občanů na politický systém v České republice a na to, do jaké míry lze náš politický systém považovat za demokratický. Požádali jsme všechny respondenty, aby zhodnotili politický systém v naší zemi před listopadem 1989, politický systém po roce 1989, tj. v 90. letech, a současný politický systém a aby se vyjádřili k tomu, jaký politický systém bude podle jejich názoru v naší zemi za 10 let.

The Possibility to Influence Public Affairs and Political Decision-making – February 2014

In February 2014 CVVM investigated how people evaluate their possibilities to influence public affairs. Specifically, questions concered to possibility to openly express view of problems in society, in the town, in the state and the posibility to achieve their legitimate requests. We asked respondents to assess their possibilities to influence political decision-making and also the effectiveness of each activity. This press release offer comparison with previous surveys which were realized from 1997. V rámci únorového šetření se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění dotazovalo na názory občanů ohledně jejich možností ovlivnit veřejnou sféru. Konkrétně se otázky týkaly možnosti otevřeně se vyjadřovat k problémům ve společnosti, ovlivnění řešení problémů ve své obci a na celostátní úrovni a také možnosti dosáhnutí svých oprávněných požadavků. Respondenty jsme také požádali, aby zhodnotili své možnosti ovlivnit legislativní proces a účinnost jednotlivých aktivit občanů za účelem změny zákona. Tisková zpráva rovněž nabízí časové srovnání s předcházejícími výzkumy, které každoročně probíhají už od roku 1997.

In January 2014 CVVM investigated, how Czech citizens evaluate material living conditions of their households and economic situation in the Czech Republic. During January and February 2014 comparable surveys on this theme were carried out also in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. V lednu 2014 CVVM zjišťovalo, jak občané hodnotí materiální životní podmínky svých domácností a ekonomickou situaci v zemi. Pod zastřešením CEORG byl výzkum na toto téma v lednu či v únoru realizován též v Polsku, Maďarsku a na Slovensku.

In March survey CVVM investigated how people trust to political Parties and whether they are willing to take part in elections to Chamber of Deputies. In the press release there are two different types of information: Party preference and a model of voting behaviour. Party preferences give us information about public sympathy with political Parties in the group of citizens who have voting right and there is also included a part of citizens who will not take part in elections or they do not knot who to vote for. V šetření realizovaném v březnu CVVM tradičně zjišťovalo podporu politických stran ve veřejnosti a ochotu zúčastnit se parlamentních voleb. V tiskové zprávě jsou publikovány dva odlišné typy informací: stranické preference a volební model. Stranické preference vypovídají o sympatiích k politickým stranám v souboru všech občanů s volebním oprávněním, tj. i těch, kteří k volbám nepůjdou nebo nevědí, koho by volili.

In the March survey the Public Opinion Research Center has focused on the forthcoming elections to the European Parliament. V rámci březnového šetření se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění věnovalo blížícím se volbám do Evropského parlamentu. Výzkum konkrétně zjišťoval, zda lidé slyšeli o tom, že 23. a 24. května budou občané ČR volit poslance do Evropského parlamentu, zda se o volby do EP zajímají, zda půjdou volit, a pokud ano, tak koho, a co bude důležité pro jejich rozhodování, pro koho budou hlasovat.

In June 2014 within the regular survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on issues that could be perceived as morally controversial. Specifically, representatively selected part of population of the Czech Republic answered questions concerned with the interruption, euthanasia and penalty of death. V rámci červnového šetření se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění věnovalo nedávným volbám do Evropského parlamentu, přičemž se změřilo i na předvolební kampaň vedenou v souvislosti s nimi. Výzkum konkrétně zjišťoval, zda lidé předvolební kampaň jako takovou zaznamenali, kampaň které ze stran si nejlépe zapamatovali, nakolik se o kampaň zajímali a jak ji hodnotí.

Job Satisfaction and Job Change - June 2014

June's survey of CVVM asked questions regarding the relationship of workers to their jobs. On the one hand, the survey focused on the topics such as job satisfaction, perception of workplace climate and subjective evaluation of adequacy of earnings. On the other hand, the aim was also to determine, what is the proportion of workers considering the possibility of changing their job and what they think about the probability of job loss. Červnové šetření CVVM se více zaměřilo na téma zaměstnanosti a nezaměstnanosti. Všem pracujícím jsme pokládali otázky týkající se spokojenosti se zaměstnáním, vnímání atmosféry na pracovišti a subjektivního hodnocení přiměřenosti výše příjmu. Dále bylo zjišťováno, jaký podíl pracujících momentálně uvažuje o změně zaměstnání a za jak pravděpodobnou je pokládána možnost ztráty práce.

According to data of September survey of the Public Opinion Research Centre, 62% of Czechs plan to participate in October election for municipal councils. 52% of them are already firmly decided for whom they will vote. Součástí zářijového šetření CVVM byly otázky týkající se komunálních voleb. Šetření zjišťovalo, zda se lidé voleb zúčastní a v případě, že ano, zda jsou již rozhodnuti, koho budou volit, a také, nakolik znají ty, kdo ve volbách kandidují.

TRIGGER project research report: focus group analysis

The goal of the focus groups was to obtain detailed opinions of pedagogical and research staff at the Institute of Chemical Technologz Prague regarding working conditions and develop further findings from the questionnaire survey. Four interviews were performed. The interviews focused on working conditions, assessment of research and pedagogical work, work life balance and position of women at the University and in science in general. Cílem skupinových rozhovorů bylo získat podrobnější názory pedagogických a výzkumných pracovníků a pracovnic na VŠCHT na konkrétní aspekty týkající se pracovních podmínek a fungování VŠCHT, a rozvinout tak zjištění z dotazníkového šetření. Celkem byly provedeny 4 skupinové rozhovory. Skupinové rozhovory se zaměřily na témata pracovních podmínek na VŠCHT, hodnocení vědecké a pedagogické práce, kombinace pracovního a soukromého života a postavení žen na VŠCHT a ve vědě obecně.
