Burglars: The influence of family and place attachment upon the choice of targets

The article concentrates upon the influence of family environment, in the form of place-attachment and personality, upon the process of committing burglary. Burlary is the most common non-violent crime and very often the offender is not apprehended or the crime itself is not reported. Thus, by understanding the offenders, their strategies and reasons for commiting the crime we can implement better preventive methods. Článek se věnuje vlivu rodinného zázemí, ve formě vazby na místo, a osobnosti na proces trestné činnosti pachatele vloupání. Vloupání je nejčastější nenásilný trestný čin. Je to také trestný čin, kdy velmi často pachatel není dopaden, či kdy samotný trestný čin není zjištěn a nahlášen. Pokud porozumíme lépe pachatelům, jejich strategiím a důvodům pro tento trestný čin, pak můžeme i implementovat lepší preventivní metody.

Psychology as a science concerned with experience and the experience of time

The author deals with experience as a basic psychological category and the aspect of mind complementary to behaviour. He introduces some meanings acquired by psychological concept of experience gradually in the history. Experiencing is concerned not only by the outer world but also by the state of own organism and namely the state of own mind. The special concern is given to the experiencing of time as a basic dimension of human life. Autor se zabývá prožíváním jako základní psychologickou kategorií a stránkou psychiky komplementární k chování. Uvádí některé významy, které psychologický pojem prožívání postupně získal. Předmětem prožívání je nejen vnější svět, ale i stav vlastního organismu a zejména stav vlastní mysli. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována prožívání času jako základního rozměru lidského života.

Strategies of coping with anger in relation to spiritual experiences – quantitative analysis

Data of students of 3rd class of high school (N=829) were obtained via original questionnaire focused on strategies of coping with anger. Results were compared with data from Prague spiritual questionnaire (PSQ) (Říčan, Janošová, 2005). Positive significant correlation was found between strategies of self-regulation of anger with the help of empathy and some scales of spiritual experiences, whereas coping with anger by means of revengeful images correlated with spirituality significantly negatively. Pomocí originálního dotazníku zaměřeného na zjišťování strategií zvládání vzteku (Říčan, 2005) byla získána data studentů 3. ročníku gymnázií (N=829). Výsledky byly porovnány s daty získanými prostřednictvím dotazníku spirituality PSQ (Říčan, Janošová, 2005). Pozitivní signifikantní korelace byla mezi zjištěna mezi strategiemi, v nichž respondenti při regulaci vzteku užívali empatii vůči osobě, která je rozčílila, a některými škálami spirituálních prožitků. Zvládání zloby za pomoci pomstychtivých představ s nimi korelovalo naopak statisticky významně negativně.

The ways of extension of psychological care of elder people are under consideration and the influence of the specific relaxation training.upon the subjectively experienced life satisfaction is emphasized. Příspěvek je věnován tématice kvality života seniorů a nabízí možnosti rozšíření psychologické péče o seniory o zavedení konkrétních relaxačních metod.

Studie se zabývá aplikací problematiky selfmanagementu, který je rozvíjen především v ekonimickém prostředí, na učitelskou profesi. Selfmanagement chápaný jako sebeřízení, event. sebevýchova, může být zajímavým a originálním východiskem pro studium učitelství. V rámci těchto myšlenek je proveden orientační výzkum učitelek základních škol, kde se ukázalo, že učitelky jsou schopny užitečně využívat hlavních idejí selfmanagementu a uvědomují si cíle v sebevzdělávání i v sebevýchově, a rovněž diference mezi stanovenými cíly a reálnými dovednostmi v této oblasti, přičemž největší úkoly v selfmanagementu nacházejí v oblasti rozvoje osobnosti. This paper with application of self-management issues to teaching, though its being developed mainly for economic environment. Self-management, taken as self-control or self-education, can become interesting and original source for studies of teaching. Within this frame an orientation research of basic school female teachers was performed; the research has shown that these teachers are able to use main ideas of self-management and they understand well goals of self-education and self-upbringing and also differences defined goals and real abilities in this area and they see the mail tasks of self-management in the field of personality development.

Jde o projekt, jenž je inspirován idejemi, které určují nové paradigma ve školství a zdravotnictví jak u nás, tak ve světě. Tyto nové myšlenky jsou dány především dokumenty Světové zdravotnické organizace (SZO/WHO), které byly přijaty a rozpracovány našimi vládními, společenskými i vědeckými orgány a organizacemi a novými rámcovými vzdělávacími programy, které představují zásadní změny v našem školství. Podrobněji se teoretickými východisky zabýváme na následujících stránkách, kde popisujeme projekt ŠKOLA A ZDRAVÍ PRO 21. STOLETÍ. The presented publication summarizes reports that have made within solution of research plan of Faculty of Education of Masaryk University SCHOOL AND HEALTH FOR THE CENTURY. The project is inspired by ideas, which define new paradigm in the school and health system both in our country and in the world. These new ideas are determined first of all by documents of World Health Organisation (WHO), shich have been accepted and elaborated by our government, social and scientific authorities and organisations and new framework curricula, which represent fundamental changes in our school system. We deal eith theoretical issues in detail in the following pages describing the project SCHOOL AND HEALTH FOR THE 21 CENTURY.

In this report we review several methods for indirect monitoring of cognitive activity. Human thinking, concentration and emotional excitement are observable in pupilar changes, electrodermal activity, eye movements or reaction times. The methods are first introduced on general level, then experimental results comparing outputs of each method during Word Association Test are reported. Příspěvek představuje vybrané metody pro nepřímé monitorování kognitivní aktivity. Lidské myšlení, soustředění i emoční vzrušení je možné sledovat ve změnách pupilární aktivity, elektrodermální reakce, očních pohybech a změnách reakčních časů. Užití jednotlivých metod bude představeno nejprve obecně, a dále je prezentováno srovnání výsledků získaných při sledování reakcí během slovního asociačního experimentu.

Studie představuje přípravný teoretický projekt pro zkoumání kvality života a učitelského stresu, které může přinést nové výsledky než zkoumání zdraví a učitelského stresu Postulujeme koncepci struktury kvality života a jednoduchý předvýzkum umožňuje postavit hypotézy a zvážit všechny okolnosti, které je nutno akceptovat při objasňování kvality života a učitelského stresu. This study presents a preparative theoretical project that deals with evaluation of life standard and stress of teachers, and it can also produce some new results concerning other areas than only stress of teachers. The conception of the structure and basic pre-research enables us to build hypotheses and evaluate all conseQuences, which need to be accepted when clarifying the teachers´quality of life and stress.
