Reconstruction of historical landscape features within manorial estates

The methodology serves as a guideline for restoration of historical landscape features. The reason for using the methodology is a comparison of selected indicators of the condition of environment within the historical structure of manorial estates against the current state of landscape structure. The selection of relevant parameters focuses on the development of spatial and temporal development of landscape features that are in current terminology referred to as compositional parts of green infrastructure of an area. The importance of historical landscape elements in the structure of landscape lies in the support of ecosystem services that sustain the production capacity of landscape while enhancing environmental benefits. Metodika poskytuje návod pro obnovu historických znaků krajiny. Důvodem pro její použití je srovnání vybraných indikátorů stavu prostředí v historické struktuře poplužní krajiny se strukturou současnou. Výběr vhodných parametrů je zaměřen na časový i prostorový vývoj krajinných prvků, které jsou dnešní terminologií označovány jako skladebné části zelené infrastruktury území. Přínos historických krajinných stop ve struktuře krajiny spočívá v posílení ekosystémových služeb, které udržují produkční schopnosti krajiny při zesílení environmentálních benefitů.

Heritage evaluation of artistic stucco

The methodology deals with professional approaches to the conservation and restoration of artistic stucco, its value framework and theoretical problems of its restoration and presentation within the architectural context. The introduction of the methodology presents the general characteristics of the stucco works care against the background of institutionalised monument care and describes the roles of involved persons in the process of preparing the concept of restoration intervention. In the following sections, the historical development of stucco in the European and Czech context is briefly outlined and a basic overview of the most common stucco techniques and materials is given. The next part of the methodology focuses on the survey procedures and methods used to characterise the work itself, its composition, techniques and materials, as well as to identify its damage, deterioration and secondary interventions, aimed at an overall assessment of the condition of the work. The core chapters of the methodology are devoted to the preparation of the restoration intervention, which is based on the monumental assessment of the specific work and the objectives of the intervention formulated in the given context. The preservation of the heritage values of the work is emphasised, but the legitimate perspectives of other stakeholders in the restoration process are also reflected. The final chapter of the methodology presents selected partial risks associated with older restoration inputs that are problematic from the point of view of today's monument care. The examples given, illustrated with photographs of real stucco works, deliberately depart from the context of complex and period-specific interventions and aim to present the risks associated with some of the existing approaches to restoring stucco monuments. Metodika se zabývá odbornými přístupy k ochraně a obnově uměleckých štuků, jejich hodnotovým rámcem a teoretickými problémy jejich restaurování a prezentace v rámci architektonického celku. V úvodu metodiky jsou představeny obecné charakteristicky péče o štuková díla na pozadí institucionalizované památkové péče a popsány role jednotlivých aktérů v procesu přípravy koncepce restaurátorského zásahu. V dalších částech je stručně nastíněn historický vývoj štukatérství v evropském i českém kontextu a podán základní přehled nejběžnějších štukatérských technik a materiálů. Další část metodiky je zaměřena na postupy a metody průzkumu, které se využívají jednak pro charakterizaci samotného díla, jeho skladby, technik a materiálů, jednak pro identifikaci jeho poruch, poškození a druhotných zásahů zacílené na celkové hodnocení stavu díla. Jádrem metodiky jsou potom kapitoly věnované přípravě restaurátorského zásahu, který vychází z památkového hodnocení konkrétního díla a v daném kontextu formulovaných cílů zásahu. Důraz je primárně kladen na zachování památkových hodnot díla, reflektovány jsou ale také legitimní pohledy dalších zúčastněných aktérů památkové obnovy. Závěrečná kapitola metodiky prezentuje rizika spojená s dílčími, z pohledu dnešní památkové péče problematickými restaurátorskými zásahy a staršími vstupy. Uvedené příklady ilustrované fotografiemi reálných štukových děl záměrně odhlíží od kontextu často komplexních a dobově podmíněných obnov a mají za cíl laickému uživateli metodiky představit rizika spojená s některými dosavadními přístupy k obnově štukatérských památek.

The housing estates’ regeneration in accordance with the interests of the heritage care

This methodical guide is based on a synthesis of three approaches to the revitalization of panel housing – urbanist, heritage and architectural. The guide aims to contribute to increasing the lifespan of panel housing while maintaining the estates‘ key values for their residents. It provides suggestions on how best to cultivate the housing estates‘ environment and to positively influence their status within the commonly held image of inhabited landscapes as an effective part of sustainable development of the structure of settlements in the Czech Republic. The guide strives to effectuate change in societal opinion by showcasing panel housing’s domestic history, embodied values and potential for development within the international context. Aside from foreign experiences, it focuses on an original and proven domestic method of facade appearance regulation. Adherence to basic regulations for the foundation and continuous upkeep of traditional urban structures helps panel housing to become a regular part of said structures. The guide encourages searching, appreciation and protection of outstanding and original solutions. The recognition of the specifics of Czech housing estates, which the guide identifies, is to serve as a starting point for their universal acceptance and eventual heritage care. Metodika je založena na syntéze urbanistického, památkového a architektonického přístupu. Jejím cílem je přispět ke zvýšení životnosti panelových domů a k zachování hodnot sídlišť pro jejich obyvatele. Metodika přináší podněty, jak prostředí sídlišť kultivovat a zlepšit jejich působení v obrazu sídel a krajiny a přispět k udržitelnému rozvoji struktury osídlení ČR. Metodika usiluje o zvýšení společenské prestiže sídlišť prostřednictvím poznání jejich historie, hodnot a rozvojového potenciálu. Kromě zkušeností ze zahraničí přináší praxí prověřenou původní tuzemskou metodu regulace vzhledu fasád. Dodržování základních regulativů běžných pro vznik a průběžnou obnovu tradičních měst může sídlištím pomoci stát se plnohodnotnou součástí města. Metodika podporuje nalézání, vnímání a ochranu vynikajících původních řešení. Identifikuje specifika českých sídlišť, jejichž poznání může sloužit jako odrazový můstek k jejich celospolečenské akceptaci a případné památkové ochraně.

The aim of the methodology is to become a tool for proper decision-making and care of historic masonry arch bridges serving our transport network and to contribute to their preservation. It should help to identify and correctly assess their historical significance and their cultural, structural and heritage value. To correctly guide the process of their professional evaluation and proposals for their maintenance and restoration. Demonstrate the possibilities of their correct assessment in terms of their structural-technical condition and structural-mechanical action, enabling their preservation in reliable operation in traffic. By means of these correct procedures, it would like to establish general confidence in their design principles and craftsmanship and to translate this into the design of reconstruction and restoration interventions or appropriate adaptations with modern sensitive additions. It is intended to enable the legitimate existence and functioning of these irreplaceable buildings for our present and future. Cílem metodiky je aby se stala pomocným nástrojem pro správné rozhodování a péči o historické zděné klenbové mosty sloužící v naší dopravní síti a přispěla k jejich záchraně. Měla by pomoci dokázat rozpoznat a správně ohodnotit jejich historický význam a kulturní, konstrukční a památkovou hodnotu. Správně nasměrovat postup jejich odborného hodnocení a návrhů jejich údržby a obnovy. Ukázat možnosti jejich správného posuzování z hlediska stavebně-technického stavu a konstrukčně- mechanického působení umožňující jejich zachování při spolehlivém fungování v dopravním provozu. Pomocí těchto správných postupů by chtěla nastolit obecnou důvěru v jejich konstrukční principy a řemeslné provedení a to promítnout do projektování rekonstrukčních a obnovovacích stavebních zásahů nebo vhodných adaptací s novodobým citlivým doplněním. Má umožnit legitimní existenci a fungování těchto nezastupitelných staveb pro naši současnost i budoucnost.

he methodology is directly related to the I. methodology with emphasis on the specifics of the presentation of textiles in listed buildings (eg castle chapels), including the emphasis on their liturgical function. In terms of parameters with secondarily used secular textiles, identification of their original function and inclusion in broader cultural contexts, including the addition of pictorial documentation. And emphasizing the didactic function of the presentation with respect to the visitor. The methodology will also include summary chapters on the history of museum presentation. Other chapters are of a practical nature (light intensity, humidity, various ways of presentation, their specifics, advantages and disadvantages, including direct confrontation with foreign approaches). Metodika přímo navazuje na metodiku I. s důrazem na specifika prezentace textilií v památkově chráněných objektech (např. zámecké kaple), včetně zdůraznění jejich liturgické funkce. Z hlediska parament s druhotně využitými světskými textiliemi identifikace jejich původní funkce a zařazení do širších kulturních souvislostí, včetně doplnění o obrazovou dokumentaci. A zdůraznění didaktické funkce prezentace s ohledem na návštěvníka. Součástí metodiky budou také shrnující kapitoly o dějinách muzejní prezentace. Další kapituly jsou praktického rázu (světelná intenzita, vlhkost, různé způsoby prezentace, jejich specifika, výhody a nevýhody, včetně přímé konfrontace se zahraničními přístupy).

The fundamental goal of the project presented is to encourage older people’s cultural participation and the associated positive intergenerational impact of cultural events and activities at the local and regional levels. The project’s implementation will provide public administration with comprehensive guidelines for systematic encouragement of intergenerational transfer and sharing of cultural values through cultural dialogue at the local and regional levels. In that way, public policies in the area can significantly contribute to intergenerational cohabitation. The project enhances understanding of a character of the mechanisms of intergenerational dialogue that is connected with learning and cultural transmission in the contexts of local and regional cultural events and initiatives. It shows the possibilities and indentify the competences (of public administration sector), that need to be strengthened if we want to improve the mechanisms of dialogue. The practical goal of the project is to offer the set of recommendations how to support the process of intergenerational dialogue and create the space for its functions in the public space of the municipalities and regions. Základním cílem předkládaného projektu je podpořit kulturní participaci seniorů a souběžný pozitivní mezigenerační dopad kulturních akcí a aktivit na lokální a regionální úrovni. Projekt poskytuje veřejné správě komplexní metodiku k systematické podpoře mezigeneračního transferu a sdílení kulturních hodnot formou dialogu v oblasti kultury na místní a regionální úrovni, aby veřejné politiky v této oblasti mohly významně přispět k mezigeneračnímu soužití. Projekt umožňuje porozumět, jak fungují mechanismy mezigeneračního dialogu spojeného s učením a kulturního přenosu v rámci lokálních a regionálních kulturních akcí a iniciativ. Odkrývá možnosti a kompetence (lokální veřejné správy), které je potřeba posilovat, aby tyto dialogové mechanismy dobře fungovaly. Praktickým cílem projektu je poskytnout veřejné správě návod, jak proces mezigeneračního dialogu podporovat a vytvářet prostor pro jeho realizaci ve veřejném prostoru obcí a regionů.

Solitary bees participate in the pollination of crops. According to our field\nsurvey, this involves 88 species of solitary bees in spring, mainly mining bees\n(Andrenidae) and sweat bees (Halictidae) nesting in the soil. The species\nnesting above soil were present less due to the lack of nesting opportunities\nand generally summer nesting activity. Among them, mason bees (Osmia sp.),\nnesting in spring, are used abroad for the pollination of fruit trees. The aim of\nthis methodology is to provide farmers with instructions for the use of mason\nbees for pollination of orchards by means of artificial nesting sites. We propose\na convenient construction of nesting sites and the methodology for rearing the\nEuropean orchard bee, Osmia cornuta (Latreille, 1805), which is, due to its earlyspring nesting activity, a suitable substitute for the currently used buff-tailed\nbumblebee. Breeding can be supplemented by the red mason bee, O. bicornis\n(Linnaeus, 1758), with later nesting activity. The book contains also suggested\nmeasures to support solitary bees in the landscape and new research data on\nthe diversity of solitary bees and pollen preferences of mason bees. Samotářské včely se podílí na opylování zemědělských plodin. Podle našich\nzjištění se v jarním období u nás jedná o 88 druhů samotářek, především\npískorypek (Andrenidae) a ploskočelek (Halictidae) hnízdících v zemi. Druhy\nhnízdící ve dřevě jsou zastoupené minimálně z důvodu nedostatku příležitostí\nk hnízdění a převážně letní hnízdní aktivity. Patří mezi ně i zednice (Osmia sp.),\nhnízdící na jaře a využívané v zahraničí k opylování ovocných stromů. Cílem\ntéto metodiky je poskytnout pěstitelům návod jak pomocí umělých hnízdišť\nvyužít zednice pro opylování ve svých sadech. Pro tento účel jsme navrhli vzor\nhnízdiště a metodiku chovu zednice rohaté, Osmia cornuta (Latreille, 1805),\nkterá je díky své časně jarní aktivitě vhodnou alternativou za dosud využívaného\nčmeláka zemního. Chov je možné doplnit o podobný druh zednici rezavou, O.\nbicornis (Linnaeus, 1758), s pozdější dobou hnízdní aktivity. Metodika obsahuje\ntaké doporučená opatření na podporu samotářek v krajině a prezentuje nová\nzjištění o diverzitě samotářek a o potravních preferencích zednic.
