Arktické zesílení: příčiny, projevy, důsledky

2024 - český The Arctic amplification is a byproduct of the climate change, manifested by faster warming in the Arctic region compared to other parts of the planet. This paper summarises the basic understanding of the mechanisms underlying this phenomenon (mainly snow-ice albedo and temperature feedback) and the potential impacts of Arctic amplification for atmospheric circulation at mid-latitudes. The research is completed by a correlation analysis describing the relationship between Arctic amplification and the North Atlantic Oscillation. Based on the literature it is suggested that Arctic amplification may influence various factors of the mid-latitude atmospheric circulation (e.g., phases of the North Atlantic Oscillation, jet stream, circumpolar vortex), but natural variability of the climate makes it difficult to unravel this relationship. Recent climate model outputs seems more likely to show a smaller influence of Arctic amplification compared to the internal variability of the climate system. This is demonstrated by the results of the correlation analysis, which show very little statistical connection of the observed variables and large statistical uncertainty in the results. Arktické zesílení je doprovodný jev klimatické změny, který se projevuje rychlejším oteplováním v oblasti Arktidy oproti jiným částem planety. Tato práce shrnuje základní poznatky o mechanismech vzniku tohoto jevu (hlavně o zpětné vazbě albeda sněhu a ledu a teplotních zpětných vazbách) a o potenciálních důsledcích arktického zesílení na atmosférickou cirkulaci mírných zeměpisných šířek. Doplněním rešerše je korelační analýza popisující vztah mezi arktickým zesílením a indexem Severoatlantické oscilace. Z uvedené literatury vyplývá, že arktické zesílení může mít vliv na různé faktory atmosférické cirkulace mírných šířek (např. fáze Severoatlantické oscilace, tryskové proudění, cirkumpolární vír), ale přirozená proměnlivost klimatu komplikuje odhalit tento vztah. Výstupy novějších klimatických modelů ukazují spíše menší vliv arktického zesílení oproti vnitřní proměnlivosti klimatického systému. To ilustrují i výsledky korelační analýzy, které vykazují velmi malý statistický vztah pozorovaných veličin a velkou statistickou nejistotu výsledků. Metody studia interakce spermie a vajíčka u savců.

2024 - český Focusing on understanding the mechanisms of sperm-egg interaction in mammals is crucial for understanding the mysteries of reproduction and fertilization. The analysis of key phases of these processes involves the study of chemical signals and proteins that influence the mutual attraction of sperm and egg, and subsequently allow the successful fusion of these two cells. This thesis aims to analyze the methods used to study these interactions, with an emphasis on emphasizing the involvement of proteins such as tetraspanins, fertilins, MAIA, and others playing a role in the interaction or fusion of gametes. Methods used to study gamete interaction include imaging techniques such as microscopy and fluorescent labeling, biochemical analyses, and more recently, advanced methods such as genetic manipulation. Choosing the right method to identify and characterize the key proteins engaging in sperm-egg interaction is critical for understanding the molecular mechanisms behind the fertilization process. This work focuses on a review of modern methodologies that allow to investigation of the complex interactions between sperm and egg at the molecular level, mainly methods used to prepare genetically modified organisms or methods that block the binding between gametes. Analýza klíčových fází těchto procesů zahrnuje studium chemických signálů a proteinů, které ovlivňují vzájemnou přitažlivost spermie a vajíčka, a následně umožňují úspěšnou fúzi obou buněk. Cílem této práce je analyzovat metody používané ke studiu těchto interakcí s důrazem na účast proteinů, jako jsou tetraspaniny, fertiliny, MAIA a další, které se na interakci či fúzi gamet podílejí. Metody používané na studium interakce gamet zahrnují obrazové techniky jako mikroskopii a fluorescenční značení, biochemické analýzy a nově i pokročilé metody jako je genetická manipulace. Zvolení správné metody pro identifikaci a charakterizaci proteinů klíčových pro interakci spermie a vajíčka, je rozhodující pro pochopení molekulárních mechanismů za procesem oplození. Populační trendy mokřadních ptáků v Evropě

2024 - anglický Waterbird research has grown in importance over the decades, attracting both professional and public interest due to its fascinating nature. Historical records of waterbird abundance have allowed the analysis of population trends and the identification of potential aberrations. Europe is an important region for many breeding and wintering species, providing a wide range of suitable habitats throughout the year. Several wildfowl and diver species, but also common waders, wading birds or cormorants exhibited a long-term stable or increasing population trends. The most decreasing trends were reported for some diving ducks, grebes and grassland-nesting waders. Despite reports of apparent declines in waterbird populations, the identification of ecological causes is complex due to the diverse characteristics of different waterbird species, making this a broad and complex topic to investigate. From the mentioned ecological drivers, habitat loss has the most negative impact on waders, whilst climate change could be associated with the shifting of breeding and wintering ranges. The birds breeding on wet grasslands were mostly affected by modern agriculture, and nowadays, their populations are threatened. KEYWORDS wetland birds, non-passerines, population dynamics, Europe, conservation biology Vodné vtáctvo a jeho štúdium získalo v priebehu posledných desaťročí mnoho záujemcov z radov odborníkov, ale aj verejnosti. Historické záznamy o početnosti vodného vtáctva umožnili analýzu populačných trendov a identifikáciu potenciálnych aberácií. Európa je dôležitým regiónom pre mnohé hniezdiace a zimujúce druhy a poskytuje široké spektrum vhodných biotopov počas celého roka. Viaceré druhy kačíc, potáplice, ale aj brodivé, bahniaky, či kormorány vykazovali dlhodobo stabilné alebo rastúce populačné trendy. Najviac klesajúci trend bol zaznamenaný u niektorých potápavých kačíc, potápiek a bahniakov hniezdiacich na lúkach. Napriek správam o zjavnom poklese populácií vodného vtáctva je identifikácia ekologických príčin zložitá v dôsledku rôznorodých charakteristík širokého spektra druhov vodného vtáctva, a preto je štúdium tejto tematiky veľmi obšírne a komplikované. Z uvedených ekologických faktorov má strata vhodných biotopov najnegatívnejší vplyv na bahniaky, zatiaľ čo zmena klímy môže súvisieť s presunom hniezdisk a zimovísk. Úbytok početnosti vtákov hniezdiacich na vlhkých lúkach bol najviac ovplyvnený moderným poľnohospodárstvom a v súčasnosti sú ich populácie ohrozené. Měření retenční křivky hornin: příklad pískovce jizerského souvrství

2024 - český Retention curve describes the ability of an unsaturated porous medium to retain water at different suction pressures. It thus plays an important role in providing information on the movement and occurrence of water in the vadose zone. While the determination of the retention curve for soil is common, it is far less common in the case of rocks. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the retention curve of sandstone from the Jestrebicka jehla in Kokorinsko using the tensiometer - weight method. A partial aim is to compare this curve with two previous measurements on the same sandstone: i) measurements by student A. Studencová, using the tensiometer - weight method, and ii) measurements made by the laboratory of Research Institute for Soil and Water Conservation, according to a slightly modified method of CSN ISO 11274. There were notable differences between the retention curves. The retention curve according to the CSN for a given suction pressure showed lower moisture values, which is probably due to insufficient saturation of the sample and air entrapment in the rock pores. Relatively large differences in the retention curve between two independent tensiometer - weight method measurements were also found, which are probably due to insufficient contact between the tensiometer and the porous... Retenční křivka popisuje schopnost nesaturovaného porézního prostředí zadržovat vodu za různých sacích tlaků. Hraje tak důležitou roli při získávání informací o pohybu a výskytu vody ve vadózní zóně. Zatímco stanovení retenčních křivek pro zeminy je běžné, v případě hornin je to daleko méně časté. Cílem této bakalářské práce je stanovit retenční křivku pískovce z Jestřebické jehly na Kokořínsku použitím metody tenzometr - hmotnost. Dílčím cílem je tuto křivku porovnat s dvěma předešlými měřeními na tomtéž pískovci: i) měření studentky A. Studencové metodou tenzometr - hmotnost, a ii) měření laboratoře Výzkumného ústavu meliorací a ochrany půdy dle mírně modifikované metody ČSN ISO 11274. Retenční křivky, které figurují v mojí bakalářské práci jsou velmi odlišné. Retenční křivka dle ČSN pro daný sací tlak vykazuje nižší hodnoty vlhkosti, což je pravděpodobně dáno nedostatečnou saturací vzorku a uvězněním vzduchu v pórech horniny. Byly nalezeny i poměrně velké rozdíly v retenční křivce mezi dvěma nezávislými měřeními metodou tenzometr - hmotnost, které jsou pravděpodobně dány nedostatečným kontaktem mezi tenzometrem a měřeným porézním prostředím studovaného pískovce. 2024 - český Throughout their lives, people are in constant contact with the natural environments that surrounds them. The aesthetic value of this environment has a great infuence on man's relationship with it. There is also a connection between the aesthetic value of the environment and it's heterogeneity. Environmental heterogeneity includes physical, topographical and also biodiversity of the environment. It is also an important factor influencing it's ecological and aesthetic value. High levels of heterogeneity in a landscape can have a positive impact on biodiversity, resistance against disturbances and also on people's aesthetic preferences. Positive effects resulting from people's contact with visually attractive landscapes can further motivate them to protect and conserve nature and even improve their mental health. The aesthetic value of the environmental heterogeneity therefore has a great, but not yet fully exploited, potential for nature conservation and landscape management. Člověk je během svého života neustále v kontaktu s přírodním prostředím, jež ho obklopuje. Na vztah člověka k tomuto prostředí má výrazný vliv i jeho estetická stránka. Existuje rovněž souvislost mezi estetickou hodnotou prostředí a heterogenitou prostředí. Heterogenita prostředí neboli environmentální heterogenita zahrnuje fyzickou, topografickou i druhovou bohatost krajiny. Vysoká úroveň heterogenity prostředí může mít pozitivní vliv na biodiverzitu, odolnost vůči disturbancím ale také estetické preference lidí. Pozitivní dojem, způsobený kontaktem s vizuálně atraktivní krajinou následně může motivovat lidi k ochraně přírody, a dokonce zlepšit jejich psychické zdraví. Estetická hodnota heterogenity prostředí tedy disponuje vysokým, avšak v současné době ne zcela prozkoumaným, potenciálem pro ochranu přírody a krajinný management. 2024 - český Investigation of cognitive abelities in children in substitute educational care facilities The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of cognitive abilities in children in school facilities for the performance of institutional and protective education. The theoretical part deals with the issue of institutional education and the area of cognitive functions in relation to the selected group of respondents. The practical part consists of the results of the verbal battery of the standardized Test of Cognitive Abilities - TKS (Thorndike & Hagen, 1998). The verbal battery of this test focuses and classifies vocabulary, the ability to construct sentences, emphasizes children's ability to think in words and phrases, and use words in a given context. The aim of the research investigation is to determine, find and compare differences in the mentioned area of cognitive abilities in selected groups of respondents aged 12 - 18 years. Part of the thesis is a discussion of the established facts, the formulation of more generally valid conclusions and recommendations for the practice of special education. Zkoumání kognitivních schopností u dětí v zařízeních náhradní výchovné péče Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu kognitivních schopností u dětí ve školských zařízeních pro výkon ústavní a ochranné výchovy. Teoretická část se zabývá problematickou ústavní výchovy a oblastí kognitivních funkcí ve vztahu k vybrané skupině respondentů. Praktickou část tvoří výsledky verbální baterie standardizovaného Testu kognitivních schopností - TKS (Thorndike & Hagen, 1998). Verbální baterie tohoto testu se zaměřuje a klasifikuje slovní zásobu, schopnost sestavování vět, klade důraz na schopnost dětí uvažovat slovy a slovními spojeními a používat slova v daném kontextu. Cílem výzkumného šetření je zjistit, nalézt a porovnat odlišnosti v uvedené oblasti kognitivních schopností u vybraných skupin respondentů ve věku 12 - 18 let. Součástí práce je diskuse zjištěných skutečností, formulace obecněji platných závěrů a doporučení pro praxi speciální pedagogiky. 2024 - český The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the preparation of the students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University for the talent exams in physical education. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the students of Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University are prepared for the talent exams in physical education, whether they are prepared at all, for how long, or under what guidance and in what sports. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the introduction of the Framework Educational Programmes for Physical Education in different secondary schools and a comparison of their differences. Furthermore, it focuses on the description and characteristics of the physical education talent test at universities, including the different disciplines and sports that are included in the talent test. The theoretical section also concludes with an analysis of the role of physical abilities and skills as key determinants of sport performance and their impact on success in the talent test. In the practical part, a questionnaire survey among the students of the Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University in the field of physical education and sport in the first to fifth year is used to investigate whether the students are prepared for the talent exams, in what form and which sports they focused... Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou přípravy studentů Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy na talentové zkoušky z tělesné výchovy. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak se studenti PedF UK připravovali na talentové zkoušky z tělesné výchovy, zda se vůbec připravovali, jak dlouho, případně pod jakým vedením a v jakých sportech. V teoretické části se práce zabývá představením Rámcových vzdělávacích programů pro tělesnou výchovu na gymnáziích a středních odborných školách a porovnáním jejich rozdílů. Dále se zaměřuje na popis a charakteristiku talentových zkoušek z tělesné výchovy na univerzitách včetně jednotlivých disciplín a sportovních odvětví, které jsou obsaženy v talentové zkoušce. V závěru teoretické části je rovněž analyzována role pohybových schopností a dovedností jako klíčových determinantů sportovního výkonu a jejich vlivu na úspěšnost při talentových zkouškách. V praktické části je využit dotazníkový šetření mezi studenty PedF UK oboru tělesné výchovy a sportu v prvním až pátém ročníku, který zkoumá, zda se studenti připravovali na talentové zkoušky, jakou formou a na které sporty se případně zaměřili. Dotazník vyplnilo 92 studentů z toho 67 žen a 25 mužů. Průměrná věk byl 22let. Výsledky práce budou přispívat k lepšímu pochopení procesu přijímacího řízení a přípravy studentů na talentové...
