On the issue of reading in the primary school

This master's thesis focuses on the issue of reading at the primary school level, with an emphasis on analyzing reading habits and motivation among students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. The main objective of the thesis is to examine factors influencing students' attitudes towards reading, including differences between urban and rural schools. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with concepts such as reader, reading, reading literacy, literature for children and youth, the significance of literature for the development of children's personalities, and the selection of books for students. The research section of the thesis analyzes students' reading preferences, focusing on the frequency and popularity of reading, types of preferred literature, and factors influencing their reading behaviour. The research results provide a comprehensive view of the current state of reading in selected classes at the primary school level. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku čtení na prvním stupni základních škol s důrazem na analýzu čtenářských návyků a motivaci ke čtení u žáků 3., 4. a 5. ročníku. Hlavním cílem práce je zkoumat faktory ovlivňující vztah žáků ke čtení, včetně rozdílů mezi městskými a venkovskými školami. Teoretická část práce se zabývá pojmy čtenář, čtenářství, čtenářská gramotnost, literatura pro děti a mládež, význam literatury pro rozvoj dětské osobnosti, výběr knih pro žáky. Výzkumná část diplomové práce analyzuje čtenářské preference žáků, a to sice frekvenci a oblíbenost četby, typy preferované literatury a faktory, jež ovlivňují jejich čtenářské chování. Výsledky výzkumu poskytují ucelený pohled na současný stav čtení ve vybraných třídách na prvním stupni ZŠ.

The use of Chod folklore in music education at the first stage of primary school

The presented thesis deals with the topic of Chod folklore, explores the potential of its use in music education lessons at the first level of primary school and presents its relevance in the content of the educational subject music education or educational area Art and Culture. The theoretical part deals primarily with Chod folklore and its specifics, the wider cultural and historical context of the Chod region and at the same time reflects on the topic from the position of current didactics of music education. The practical part then presents a set of six interconnected music education lessons that gradually develop the theme of Chod folklore and its related content. Předložená diplomová práce se věnuje tematice chodského folklóru, zkoumá potenciál jeho využití v lekcích hudební výchovy na prvním stupni základní školy a prezentuje aktuálnost v rámci obsahu vzdělávacího předmětu hudební výchovy, resp. vzdělávací oblasti Umění a kultura. Teoretická část se zabývá v první řadě chodským folklórem a jeho specifiky, širším kulturně-historickým kontextem chodského regionu a zároveň reflektuje dané téma z pozice aktuální didaktiky hudební výchovy. Projektová část pak prezentuje soubor šesti vzájemně provázaných lekcí hudební výchovy, které postupně rozvíjí tematiku chodského folklóru a obsahů s ním spojených.

The concept of reflection in pre-service training of educators

The diploma thesis presents a mapping survey study into the use of the concept of reflection in the works of 15 Czech authors between 1991 and 2020. The development of understanding the concept of reflection is summed up in the following basic categories: teacher personality, pedagogical activities, concepts and theories, areas of development of prospective teachers. The basic method used is a qualitative content analysis (21 documents were analysed). The text is supplemented by a number of diagrams outlining the understanding of the concept of reflection. Přehledová mapující studie představuje pojem reflexe v pojetí 15 českých autorů v roz mezí let 1991 až 2020. Vývoj porozumění pojmu reflexe je zaznamenán v těchto základních kategoriích: osobnost pedagoga, pedagogická činnost, koncepty a teorie, oblasti rozvoje budoucích pedagogů. Základní použitou metodou je kvalitativní obsahová analýza dokumentů. Analyzováno bylo 21 zdrojů. Text je doplněn schématy, která problematiku pojmu reflexe zpřehledňují.

Factors influencing the successfulness rate of tasks in the Bebras contest

This thesis focuses on the question of why students do not complete the online tasks in Bebras Challenge as the authors expected. The aim of this thesis was to find out the reasons for the incorrect completion of the test tasks and then to modify these tasks into a form that would correspond to the expected difficulty. The evaluation was based on semi-structured interviews with students who took the test before eye-tracker. The analysis describes the processed data as calibration problems or necessary manual analysis. By changing the factors in individual tasks, some tasks were better understood by pupils and subsequently worked out. Another finding is that the use of the eye-tracker or the semi-structured interview alone does not give us an accurate picture of the task being solved. This means that the task evaluation must always be done together with the semi-structured interviews. Another interesting finding is that by changing one factor, other factors which were uknown up to now may emerge. On the basis of these findings, it is advisable to continuously test new tasks sufficiently and adjust them to the new final form. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na otázku, proč žáci nevyplňují online úlohy v Bobříku informatiky tak, jak autoři očekávali. Cílem této práce bylo zjistit důvody nesprávného vypracovávání testových otázek a následné upravení těchto úloh do podoby, která by odpovídala očekávané náročnosti. Vyhodnocení probíhalo na základě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se žáky, kteří test vypracovali před eye-trackerem. V analýze jsou popsány zpracovaná data jako kalibrační problémy či nutná manuální analýza. Právě manuální analýza byla důležitá pro zjištění důležitých faktorů zadání úloh. Zjištěním je i skutečnost, že použití samotného eye-trackeru nebo samostatného polostrukturovaného rozhovoru nám nedává přesný obraz o řešené úloze. Znamená to, že vždy musí vyhodnocení úloh probíhat společně s polostrukturovanými rozhovory. Dalším zajímavým zjištěním je, že změnou jednoho faktoru se můžou objevit i další doposud neznámé faktory. Na základě těchto zjištění je vhodné neustále nové úlohy dostatečně testovat a upravovat do nové finální podoby.

Creation of combinatorics worksheets for the 1st grade of elementary school using an interactive whiteboard

This master thesis innovatively combines combinatorics with modern teaching methods through interactive worksheets designed specifically for primary school pupils in the first to third grade. In the theoretical part, the basic principles of combinatorics are introduced, including the rules of sum and product, variations, permutations and combinations, which are adapted to the age category of pupils. The practical part of the work focuses on the creation of interactive worksheets on combinatorics in the form of a game called "CITY". This game is described in detail including its concept, technical implementation and examples of its use in the classroom. As part of the practical part, research is also conducted to investigate the effectiveness and efficiency of interactive materials in the learning process. As a result of the work, a set of prepared interactive worksheets are prepared for use in teaching at primary school level 1. This thesis contributes to the modernization of mathematics teaching in primary schools through the effective use of digital technologies and innovative pedagogical methods. Tato diplomová práce inovativně propojuje kombinatoriku s moderními výukovými metodami prostřednictvím interaktivních pracovních listů navržených speciálně pro žáky 1. stupně základní školy, konkrétně první až třetí třídy. V teoretické části jsou představeny základní principy kombinatoriky, včetně pravidel součtu a součinu, variací, permutací a kombinací, které jsou přizpůsobeny věkové kategorii žáků. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na vytvoření interaktivních pracovních listů z kombinatoriky formou hry s názvem "MĚSTO". Tato hra je detailně popsána včetně jejího konceptu, technické realizace a příkladů použití ve výuce. V rámci praktické části je rovněž proveden výzkum, který zkoumá účinnost a efektivitu interaktivních materiálů v učebním procesu. Výsledkem práce je soubor připravených interaktivních pracovních listů, které jsou připraveny k použití ve výuce na 1. stupni základní školy. Tato diplomová práce přispívá k modernizaci výuky matematiky na základních školách prostřednictvím efektivního využití digitálních technologií a inovativních pedagogických metod.

Parents' divorce and its impact on primary school pupils

This thesis deals with parental divorce and its effects on the child at younger school age. The theoretical part focuses on the family and the overall process of divorce. Emphasis is placed on the child's experiences, reactions, school achievement and the overall impact of the divorce on the child. The practical part focuses on the child's experience of divorce, the impact of divorce on the child, school failure and the role of the teacher in the divorce process. The findings are obtained through qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews. The aim of the paper is to show that divorce is not an easy time in a child's life, it marks him/her for life. Diplomová práce se zabývá rozvodem rodičů a jeho dopady na dítě v mladším školním věku. V teoretické části je zaměřena na rodinu a celkový proces rozvodu. Důraz je kladen na prožívání dítěte, jeho reakce, školní život a celkové dopady rozvodu na jeho osobu. Praktická část představuje výzkum sledující zkušenosti mladých dospělých, jejichž rodiče se rozvedli v jejich mladším školním věku. Ukázalo se, že významný vliv na jejich vyrovnání s touto změnou měla komunikace s rodiči a zachování kontaktu a vztahu s nerezidentním rodičem (ve všech sledovaných případech otcem). Tam, kde tomu tak nebylo, se děti se změnou vyrovnávaly obtížněji. Jednou z náročných proměnných bylo stěhování a v jednom případě též významné zhoršení vztahu matky k dceři. V těchto případech se u dítěte ve škole projevily obtíže ve vztazích s vrstevníky i ve školním výkonu.

Preparation and implementation of the teaching of fractions for a student with specific learning disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the mathematics curriculum in elementary school, specifically the topic of fractions for students with a specific learning or behavior disorder. The thesis introduces the reader to inclusion and describes the possibilities of how to adapt teaching for pupils with a certain form of learning/behavioral disability. Emphasis is placed on getting to know the pupil's anamnesis, getting to know the pupil as a personality and individual work with him. Furthermore, it is emphasized to use illustrations and to avoid stereotypical mathematics lessons. All this is stated and on examples that were used in mathematics lessons. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá učivem matematiky na základní škole, konkrétně tématem zlomků u žáků se specifickou poruchou učení nebo chování. Práce seznamuje čtenáře s inkluzí a popisuje možnosti, jak přizpůsobit výuku pro žáky s určitou formou poruchy učení / chování. Je kladen důraz na seznámení se s žákovo anamnézou, poznání žáka jako osobnost a individuální práce s ním. Dále je zdůrazněno používat názornost a předejít stereotypním hodinám matematiky. To vše je uvedeno a na příkladech, které byly použity v hodinách matematiky.

Dreams in the life of pupils of the first grade of primary school

This master's thesis focuses on the significance of dreams in the lives of younger elementary school students. The theoretical part describes sleep, sleep disorders in children, various types of dreams, philosophical discussions with children about dreams, dream work, active imagination, dream discussions, and the importance of sleep and dreaming in the context of personality development. The practical part involves activities conducted during visual arts classes centered around the theme of dreams. Qualitative research methods were utilized, including group discussions, drawings with commentaries, and interviews. Results demonstrate that children can vividly and intricately describe their dream experiences, and their creative approach enriches discussions and activities. The thesis emphasizes the importance of open discussions about dreams and their exploration through visual arts, promoting children's imagination and creativity. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na význam snů v životě žáků mladšího školního věku. V teoretické části je popsán spánek, poruchy spánku u dětí, různé druhy snů, filozofování s dětmi o snech, práce se sny, aktivní imaginace, artefiletika, hovory o snech a význam spánku a snění u dětí v kontextu osobnostního rozvoje. Praktická část se věnuje aktivitám realizovaným během hodin výtvarné výchovy, které byly zaměřeny na téma snů. Byly zde použity metody kvalitativního šetření zahrnující diskuse, kresby s komentáři a doplňující rozhovory. Výsledky ukazují, že děti dokážou velmi detailně a živě líčit své snové zážitky a jejich kreativní přístup přispívá k obohacení diskusí a aktivit. Práce také poukazuje na důležitost otevřené diskuse o snech a jejich zpracování prostřednictvím výtvarného umění, což podporuje dětskou fantazii a kreativitu.

Regional technical monuments and their use in teaching at the 1st grade of primary school

This Ma thesis focuses on the use of technical monuments in the Třeboňsko region in the 1st grade of primary schools. The theoretical part is divided into 5 parts. First, we touch lightly on primary pedagogy and primary education. In the second part, we focus on technical education. I included chapters on technical education and its goals, technical competence and its components, alongside a brief description of integrated education at primary school. Furthermore, I focus on methods that encourage active thinking, describing project-based learning, research and field trips. Also, I briefly characterise educational parts from Člověk a svět práce and Člověk a jeho svět in RVP ZV. In the last part of the theoretical part, I introduce five technical monuments in the region and briefly describe them. In the practical part, I introduce five preparations for field trips, two of which were implemented. All the preparations include worksheets and suggestions to motivate the students before the field trip. Lastly, proper photo documentation and evaluation for the implemented field trips are included. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na využití technických památek v regionu Třeboňska na 1. stupni základních škol. Teoretická část má pět okruhů. V prvním se jen zlehka dotýkáme primární pedagogiky a základního vzdělávání. V druhém okruhu se zabýváme technickým vzděláváním, kam jsme zahrnuli kapitoly technická výchova a její cíle, technická gramotnost a složky technické gramotnosti a stručný popis integrované výuky na základní škole. Dále se zaměřujeme na metody podporující aktivní myšlení, kde je popsána projektová výuka, badatelství ve výuce a exkurze. V neposlední řadě stručně charakterizujeme vzdělávací oblasti kapitol Člověk a svět práce a Člověk a jeho svět v RVP ZV. V posledním okruhu teoretické části představujeme pět technických památek daného regionu a krátce popisujeme. V praktické části představujeme pět příprav na exkurze, z nichž dvě byly zrealizovány. Všechny přípravy jsou obohaceny o pracovní listy a návrhy na motivaci žáka před exkurzí. U uskutečněných exkurzí je přiložena fotodokumentace a zhodnocení.

Verification of a set of compensatory exercises aimed at hypermobility

This diploma thesis follows on from the bachelor's thesis and deals with the verification of a set of compensatory exercises, which is focused on hypermobility caused by aerobics. The goal of the work is to verify whether the file is effective or not. Several methods were used for processing, namely, the method of content analysis and synthesis; a sequential single-group, non-concurrent experiment, and results are developed using a case study. The theoretical part follows on from the topic of the bachelor's thesis and analyzes the issue in more detail. The experiment, as mentioned above, is a gradual one-group and non-simultaneous experiment. A total of 8 proband girls took part in it. The work and the verified set of exercises are intended primarily for gymnastic sports coaches, who can actively use it in their training process, as a prevention or compensation of joint generalized hypermobility. Tato diplomová práce navazuje na práci bakalářskou a zabývá se ověřením souboru cviků, jež je zaměřený na kompenzaci hypermobility způsobené aerobikem. Cílem práce je tedy ověřit, zda je soubor efektivní, či nikoli. Pro zpracování bylo použito několik metod, a to metoda obsahové analýzy a syntézy; postupný jednoskupinový, časově nesouběžný experiment a výsledky jsou vypracovány pomocí případové studie. Teoretická část navazuje na téma bakalářské práce a detailněji rozebírá danou problematiku. Experiment, jak je výše uvedeno, postupný jednoskupinový a časově nesouběžný. Dohromady se ho zúčastnilo 8 probandek. Práce i ověřený soubor cviků je určen primárně pro trenéry gymnastických sportů, kteří ho mohou aktivně využívat ve svém tréninkovém procesu, jako prevenci či kompenzaci kloubní generalizované hypermobility.
