Age determination of the barite veins from Tišnov using palaeomagnetic method
Dolníček, Z.; Chadima, Martin; Pruner, Petr
2003 - Czech
Epithermal calcite-barite veins are typical feature for metallogeny of the Moravian Svratka Dome. Samples of vein fill (calcite+barite) and altered (hematitized) host metagranitoids were studied palaeomagnetically with the aim for better age determination of this mineralization. Using the principal component analysis method, a component bound to hematite was determined and this component corresponds to the Upper Permian-Lower Triassig age. Paleomagnetická metoda indikuje stáří vzniku hematitových alterací metagranitoidů a devonských vápenců v bezprostředním okolí kalcit-barytových žil z lomu Dřínová u Tišnova v intervalu svrchní perm až spodní trias.

Changes in arsenic binding and arsenic migration during the oxidation of loellingite and arsenopyrite: Case study from anthropogenic arsenic deposit at the Přebuz locality, Krušné hory Mts
Filippi, Michal
2002 - Czech
Anthropogenic anomaly at the Přebuz deposit has been used studied as a mineralogical model and geochemical model for study of weathering of arsenopyrite-loellingite concentrate under climatic conditions. Presented contribution is aimed at newly growing secondary minerals identification, at mineral succession determination, and at preliminary evaluation of the arsenic contamination.

Lower Cretaceous in the Munella Mountains (Mirdita Zone, northeastern Albania)
Peza, Luftulla Hasan; Marku, D.
2002 - English
The Munella Mountain is located in the Mirdita area, in the northeastern part of Albania. Berrisian, Valanginian deep-water flysch deposits. Unsorted breccias, including large blocks of ophiolites and Triassic limestones lie at the base of the Berriasian. Marls, sandstones, conglomerates with rare limestone intercalations characterize the upper part of the Berriasian. Sandstones and marls with abundant molluscs form the base of the Barremian-Aptian deposits. The highhest part of the section consists of platform limestones in Urgonian facies. An interruption in sedimentation during the Hauterivian was caused by the Mirditean orogeny.
