2014 - Czech The tombstone of Jitka Stecherová (1972-2005), implemented in 2005 and located at the New Jewish Cemetery in Prague in Vinohrady, is an interesting, non-traditional conception. The author is a leading, internationally recognized Czech fine artist, Marian Karel (1944), who in his geometrically focused work uses sheet glass as a means for a sculpturally and architecturally striking, reflexive activity of the light modulated by space-shaping objects. Náhrobek Jitky Stecherové (1972-2005), realizovaný a umístěný v roce 2005 na Novém židovském hřbitově v Praze na Vinohradech, je zajímavý vizuálním, netradičním pojetím. Autorem je mezinárodně uznávaný český výtvarník Marian Karel (1944), který ve svém geometricky zaměřeném díle, užívá sklo jako prostředek k sochařsky a architektonicky pozoruhodným, reflexní aktivitou světla modulovaným ztvárněním prostorů a prostorových průniků. Královna Eliška Přemyslovna spolu s Janem Lucemburským podporovali stavbu kláštera dominikánek u sv. Anny, dostavbu chóru kostela sv. Tomáše v Praze a výstavbu špitálu na Mělníku. Zprávy o úctě Elišky k relikviím jsou zapsané ve Zbraslavské kronice, další v objevených třech listinách se soupisem relikvií. St. Francis Xavier in the Emblematic Illustrations of a Jesuit Publication in Olomouc from the Year 1663

2014 - Czech The article discusses the book these, published in 1663 in the Jesuit college and school in Olomouc, which includes 10 emblematic illustration, which is the second oldest graphic work of the Baroque painter, engraver and inventor Martin Antonín Lublinský. In detail is analyzed emblem of the third section. Pictura was inspired by the 193. emblem of Andrea Alciati Emblematum liber and also by impresa Olomouc Bishop Francis Cardinal Dietrichtein. Článek pojednává o knižní tezi, vydané roku 1663 olomouckou jezuitskou univerzitou, která obsahuje 10 emblematických ilustrací, jež jsou druhým nejstarším grafickým dílem barokního malíře, grafika a inventora Martina Antonína Lublinského. Detailněji je analyzován emblém třetího oddílu, jehož pictura je patrně inspirována 193. emblémem Andrey Alciata z knihy Emblematum liber i impresou olomouckého biskupa Františka kardinála Dietrichštejna. 2014 - Czech Wall paintigs in the church in Ronov (Protivany) published by M. Stránská in the 1983. Problematic of her commissioned by Světlík of Lichenburk has mentioned as doubtful Jan Urban in 2003. The iconography of murals showes probably inspiration of some monk of cistercian monastery (for example: St Bernhard of Clairveaux, St Dionysius, Martyrdom of Ysaias, St George, standing on the body of the Emperor Dacian. Georg is depicting as knigt in the sens miles christiani.). The culture influences we can see in circle of Sibyla of Křižanov, who is coming to the Czech countries with the Queen Kunigunde of Staufe dynasty, the wife of King Wenceslas I. of Přemyslid, in early 13th century. Stylistic viewpoint of the figures show analogy with the art of late romanesque art, probably of the early of 13th century. Maybe murals were painted in conection with Crusades, they were supported also by Bernhard of Clairveaux. Nástěnné malby v kostele v Ronově publikovala M. Stránská v roce 1983, její připsání Světlíkovi z Lichtenburku odmítl Jan Urban v roce 2003. Ikonografie nástěnných maleb ukazuje na vliv cisterciáckého kláštera (např. sv. Bernard z Clairveaux, sv. Diviš, Umučení proroka Izaiáše, sv. Jiří jako rytíř stojí na těle krále Daciana ve smyslu miles christiani.) Kulturní vliv lze spojit se Sibylou z Křižanova, která přišla do českých zemí spolu s královnou Kunhutou Štaufskou, manželkou krále Václava I. na počátku 13. století. Po stránce slohové malby ukazují analogie s uměním pozdního románského slohu, lze je snad spojit s uměním prvních desetiletí 13. st. Výzdoba kostela mohla souviset s křížovými výpravami, jejich podporovatelem byl Bernard z Clairveaux. Mathey delineavit. The tombstone of Count Humprecht Jan Černín of Chudenice in light of the written sources (1683–1688)

2014 - Czech The tombstone of Count Humprecht Jan Černín in the chapel of St Sigismund in the cathedral of St Vitus is one of the unjustly forgotten sepulchral monument of the 17th century in Bohemia. Based on so-far unpublished correspondence from 1683 until 1688, it is possible not only to document the complicated course of the building of this monument but also to determine the designer of the monument who is the prominent architect active in Bohemia in the 1670s-90s Jean Baptiste Mathey. Some hitherto unknown Mathey´s works are newly published here – the altar retables in Stará Boleslav (Altbunzlau) and in Litvínov (Leutensdorf), also the graphic portrait of the prioress of the Discalced Carmelites in Prague´s Malá Strana the venerable Maria Electa à Jesu. Náhrobek hraběte Humprechta Jana Černína v kapli sv. Zikmunda ve Svatovítské katedrále patří k neprávem opomíjeným sepulkrálním památkám 17. století v Čechách. Na základě dosud nepublikované korespondence z let 1683 až 1688 je možno nejenom zdokumentovat průběh budování tohoto monumentu, ale i určit ideového autora návrhu, kterým je významný architekt působící v Čechách v sedmdesátých až devadesátých letech 17. století Jean Baptiste Mathey. Nově jsou zde publikována zde některá dosud neznámá díla – oltářní retábly ve Staré Boleslavi a v Litvínově, také grafický portrét převorky bosých karmelitek v Praze na Malé Straně ctihodné Marie Elekty od Ježíše. 2014 - Czech Coloured drawing is unique conception, but many of paintigs have realy character of water-colour. For many paintings is typically that secco layer is demolished and we see only fresco, not finish painting. Pojem lavírovaná kresba není příliš v nástěnných malbách používaný, ale řada maleb má charakter právě této techniky. Tahy světlé barvy, zdůrazňující kontury, pohyb postav a draperii šatů a vysvětlování barvy měkkými přechody připomínají akvarel, ale původně mohlo jít jen o podmalbu, nikoliv o finální malbu. 2014 - Czech The text examines the mystifying behaviour of Czech Society in the 1840s. In the case of the building Slavín near Liběchov, called the Czech Walhalla, the entrepreneur Anton Veith ordered 21 sculptures from Munich sculptor Ludwig Schwanthaler. Czech patriots tried 1843 to demonstrate that the figures of Jan Žižka and Jan Hus existed as the first works for Slavín, however, 1845 explaine their absence as the concealment from the "singular reason". Text zkoumá mystifikační chování české vlastenecké společnosti ve 40. letech 19. století na příkladu Slavína, zvaného "česká Walhalla". K výzdobě této stavby objednal podnikatel Antnon Veith u mnichovského sochaře Ludwiga Schwanthalera 21 soch. Čeští vlastenci se snažili doložit roku 1843 existenci figur Jana Žižky a Jana Husa jako prvních děl pro Slavín, v létě 1845 vysvětlovali jejich nepřítomnost jako ukrytí "ze zvláštních důvodů". 2014 - Czech The article focuses on the architectural decoration of the presbytery of the church of the Holy Spirit in Hradec Králové and particularly on the period of the end of the 13th and first half of the 14th centuries. It also includes an interpretation of some of the interventions conducted by František Schmoranz the Elder in the re-Gothization of the building in the third quarter of the 19th century. Příspěvek se soustředí na architektonickou výzdobu presbyteria kostela sv. Ducha v Hradci Králové a zvláště na období konce 13. a první polovinu 14. století. Zahrnuje rovněž interpretaci některých zásahů provedených Františkem Schmoranzem při regotizaci stavby ve třetí čtvrtině 19. století.
