Dentine sensitivity is a common complaint of patients in dental offices. It is caused by the opening of dentine tubules towards the external environment. One of the procedures that seems to have a longer-lasting effect is the closure of the exposed dentinal tubules on the teeth surface by means of CO 2 laser or Nd:YAG laser. Dentinová senzitivita je běžnou stížností pacientů ve stomatologických ordinacích. Jsou způsobeny otevřením dentinových tubulů do vnějšího prostředí po ztrátě skloviny nebo cementu či při odhalení v oblasti cementosklovinné hranice zubu. Jednou z metod odstraňující bolestivé důsledky je zatavení dentinových kanálků pomocí CO 2 nebo Nd:YAG laseru. Keywords: Nd:YAG laser; dentin Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Waveguiding ZnO and BaTiO3 thin films fabricated by laser deposition

Various deposition configurations for deposition of large area homogenous films (3x3c 2 ) were studied. High quality ZnO and BaTiO3 films were deposited by KrF laser ablation. Optical properties by method of mode spectroscopy were measured. Byly studovány depoziční konfigurace pro růst tloušt'kové homogenních tenkých vrstev na podložkách o rozměrech až 3cmX3cm. KrF laserovou ablací byly deponovány vysoce kvalitní tenké vrstvy ZnO a BaTiO3 .Jejich optické vlastnosti byly měřeny metodou módové spektroskopie. The elements distribution was studied by scannig electron microscopy. Příspěvek se zabývá vyšetřováním vrstev vytvořených pomocí technologie laserového povlakování z pohledu materiálových změn ve zpracovávané oblasti. The Pierre Auger fluorescent detectors are optical telescopes, mirror in the each of them is composes of 60 hexagonal ultrathin segments in gravitational field of the Earth are here presented. Fluorescenční detektory v projektu Pierre Auger jsou optické teleskopy, zrcadlo v každém z nich je složeno z 60 hexagonálních segmentů. V této práci jsou prezentovány výsledky simulace deformací těchto segmentů při naklonění vlivem gravitačního pole Země. Measurement of electro-optical properties of quantum-size structures based on InAs/GaAs - photocurrent and electroluminescence

Contribution presents the electroluminescence, photoabsorption and polarization properties of semiconductor lasers with thin strained InAs layers in GaAs at elevated temperatures. The lasers exhibit high optical recombination efficiency, low threshold current density and wide temperature operation range (above 100řC). Měření absorpce a elektroluminiscence polovodičových laserů a struktur s tenkými napnutými InAs vrstvami v GaAs při různých polarizačních teplotách. Lasery vykazují vysokou účinnost a nízkou prahovou proudovou hustotu a mohou pracovat při teplotách vyšších než 100řC. Similarity of interference and holographic interferometry with moiré phenomena and possibility of use for modelling

The paper is devoted to modeling of two know effects, interference and holographic interferometry using another phenomena, colled the in-plane moiré. Although every method has various physical priciple and the result intensity patterns have various properties the generalized definition of moiré phenomena helps to find out the similarity between them.It is the similarity of shapes of intensity patterns. Článek je věnován modelování dvou neznámých jevů, interference a holografické interferometrie s využitím ostatních jevů, nazvaných moiré vrovině. Ačkoliv každá metoda má různou podstatu a výsledné intenzitní vzory mají různé vlastnosti, obecná definice jevu moiré pomáhá ve vyhledání jejích vzájemné podobnosti mezi tvary intenzitních obrazců. This paper refers to the theory of new optical noncontact topographic measurement method of objects with diffuse surface. It uses laser strip made by cylinder lens to iluminate object in quastion. Tento článek pojednává o teorii nové optické bezkontaktní topografické metody měření objektů s difusně odrazným povrchem. K osvětlení daného objektu používá laserovou stopu vytviřenou válcovou čočkou. Laser cladding with a numerical modelling of the temperature field in material utilization

Laser cladding is presented as a one of the technologies of laser material surface treatment. A series of speciments have been treated using CO.sub.2./sub. laser with a maximum output power of 2.5 kW by this technology. Some characteristics and properties such as shape or microhardness of clad layers were analysed. For numerical calculations of the laser induced temperature field in treated material was used the finite difference method. Laserové povlakování představuje jednu z technologií povrchového zpracování kovů laserem.Koninuálním CO.sub.2./sub. laserem s maximálním výstupním výkonem 2.5 kW byla vyrobena řada vzorků, u kterých byla dále analyzována struktura, tvar a mikrotvrdost naplátovaných vrstev.
