2016 - Czech The dissertation explores motivation of the students of the Palacký University in Olomouc for studying to become a teacher by profession. The main objective of the research is to identify, analyse and compare factors which influence motivation of the students of the Palacký University in Olomouc for studying to become a teacher. The thesis deals with motivation and motivational factors, it describes the teaching profession and its aspects. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on motivational factors of these students and on their intentions concerning their employment after graduation. The theoretical framework of the dissertation is formed by the field of theories of motivation with emphasis on pedagogy. The theoretical basis for the concept of motivation stems from the scientific field of psychology, the theoretical basis for professional training, in this case specifically for the teaching profession, stems from the scientific field of pedagogy. Tématem disertační práce je motivace studentů Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci ke studiu na profesi učitele. Hlavním cílem výzkumu je identifikovat, analyzovat a srovnat faktory, které mají vliv na motivaci studentů Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci ke studiu na profesi učitele. Práce se zabývá motivací a motivačními faktory, popisuje profesi učitele a její aspekty. Empirická část práce se zaměřuje na motivační faktory studentů učitelství a na jejich záměry týkající se zaměstnání po absolvování studia. Teoretickým východiskem celé práce je problematika teorií motivace s akcentem na pedagogiku. Vědní obor psychologie vytvoří teoretický rámec pro koncepci motivace, vědní obor pedagogika pak vytvoří teoretický rámec pro profesní přípravu, zde navíc specificky pro profesi učitele. 2018 - Czech Theatre belongs among the institutions which reflect the public affairs particularly sensitively. The existence and development of any theatre ware always determined by the actual political and especially by the economic situation, social stratification as well as by the social media and artistic potential of the particular country in the given era. On the example of the history of Olomouc theatre one may observe the complex situation of this institution. Moreover the management of the regional theatre is in many aspects more authentic than the theatres in the capital, which were nationalized in the end of 1920's. This thesis explores the history of the Olomouc theatre between the two wars and focuses on the development of the opera ensemble which was the indicator of the quality and the overall situation in the institution. Divadlo se řadí mezi instituce, které vždy reagovaly na veškeré vnější dění mimořádně citlivě. Jeho existenci a vývoj determinovaly momentální politická a zejména hospodářská situace, sociální rozvrstvení obyvatel a posluchačů, vývoj médií i umělecký potenciál země v dané éře. Na příkladu dějin olomouckého meziválečného hudebního divadla lze složitou povahu dotyčného fenoménu dobře ilustrovat. Nadto nesou tyto projevy na regionální scéně zvláštní rysy autenticity, neboť v nuancích reflektují turbulentní éru lépe než významnější scény "centrální", které byly na konci dvacátých let zestátněny a podléhaly v tomto ohledu poněkud odlišným mechanismům. Text pojednává o dějinách olomouckého divadla v době mezi světovými válkami s důrazem na vývoj operního souboru, jenž byl vždy ukazatelem umělecké úrovně a celkové situace instituce. The History of Modern Popular Music in Olomouc with an Emphasis on the Period 1945-1989

2014 - Czech This thesis looks at the history of modern popular music in Olomouc, including within the wider context of the Olomouc region. From a historical perspective, particular focus is given to the 1940s to the 1980s. However, key developments are touched on for the post-1989 period. It examines the key styles and genres of Olomouc modern popular music, such as jazz, folk, country and rock. Attention is also paid to the music section of small form cabaret, discotheques and the Olomouc Music Theatre as key facility for showcasing popular music. The phenomena examined are not looked at in isolation, but are set within wider contexts of music history, music analysis, culture, cultural politics, institution-organisation and other contexts. Overall, the thesis illustrates the complex form and mechanism of the workings of modern popular music using the example of the music scene of medium-size city of around a hundred-thousand inhabitants in a specific time and place. Disertační práce se zabývá historií moderní populární hudby v Olomouci, případně v širším kontextu Olomoucka. Z historického hlediska je důraz položen na období čtyřicátých až osmdesátých let dvacátého století. Naznačeny jsou však i základní vývojové tendence po roce 1989. Probírány jsou základní styly a žánry olomoucké moderní populární hudby, jakými jsou jazz, folk, country a rock. Pozornost je dále věnována hudební složce divadel malých forem, diskotékám a instituci Divadla hudby Olomouc jako klíčového zařízení pro prezentaci populární hudby. Sledované jevy nejsou probírány izolovaně, ale jsou zasazovány do širších hudebně historických, hudebně analytických, kulturních, kulturně politických, institucionálně-organizačních a jiných souvislostí. Jako celek disertační práce ilustruje komplexní podobu a mechanismus fungování moderní populární hudby na příkladu hudební scény "stotisícového města" v konkrétním čase a prostoru. Present Status of Geriatric Health and Hospic Health Care in the Region Olomouc

2011 - Czech Objectives: The main goals were to describe the trends in health and social facilities providing after care and long-term care in the District of Olomouc over the last 20 years, describe and classify health and social facilities currently providing after care and long-term care in the District of Olomouc, compare the trends and current situation in health and social facilities providing after care and long-term care in the District of Olomouc and the Czech Republic. Case studies are meant to document the situation in health and social care in the District of Olomouc and its deficit. Methods To fulfill the objectives of the dissertation, qualitative research methods were used based on content analysis including historical analysis for a certain part of data acquisition and processing. To obtain the necessary research data, the comparative method was also used. Comparison was carried out with data known for the Czech Republic and the Region of Olomouc. Case studies and participant observation were used to obtain objective data on inadequate management of the elderly requiring after care and long-term care. Results The dissertation seeks to define the concept of after care and long-term care including palliative care and their importance for the elderly. It also provides a description of individual after care and long-term care facilities in the District of Olomouc and their chronological development over the past twenty years (1989 - 2009). The dissertation suggests that in the District of Olomouc, after care and long-term care for the elderly, in particular institutional care, is inadequate. This corresponds with the results of comparison between the current situation in after care and long-term care and recommendations issued for the Czech Republic, also suggesting a deficit in this type of care. There are inadequate availability of after care and long-term care in the District of Olomouc and repeated hospitalizations of the elderly in the Department of Geriatrics, University Hospital Olomouc. Other issues should be mentioned such as inadequate coordination between health and social care (after care and long-term care), the seniors' insufficient knowledge about potential after care and long-term care, and the need for educating and training the staff in long-term medicine. There are many other aspects that may contribute to the comfortable and peaceful final period of life. Conclusion Care for the elderly in the District of Olomouc is characterized by specific problems that, to a certain extent, are typical for the entire country. There is a clear deficit in after care and long-term care for the elderly and its availability. This situation, however, also offers challenges for seeking solutions, coordination between individual facilities and in home care, and considerations in community planning. Cíle práce: Hlavními cíly práce byly popis vývoje a třídění aktuálního stavu zdravotně sociálních zařízení poskytujících následnou a dlouhodobou péči v okrese Olomouc za posledních 20 let, dále komparace vývoje a aktuálního stavu zdravotně sociálních zařízení následné a dlouhodobé péče v okrese Olomouc a v ČR. Byly provedeny případové studie seniorů jako průkaz stavu zdravotně sociální péče v okrese Olomouc a vyjádření jeho deficitu. Metodika Ke splnění stanovených cílů dizertační práce byla použita metodologie kvalitativního výzkumu realizovaného na základě obsahové analýzy, kdy v určitém procentu byla pro získání informací a sběr dat použita rovněž historická analýza. Pro získání potřebných dat výzkumu byla využita dále komparativní metoda. Srovnání bylo provedeno s daty známými pro Českou republiku a pro Olomoucký kraj. Případové studie a participačního pozorování bylo využito pro objektivizaci získaných dat o nedostatečném zajištění seniorů, v situaci potřebnosti následné a dlouhodobé péče. Výsledky Dizertační práce se snaží vymezit pojem následné a dlouhodobé péče, včetně paliativní péče, a jejich význam pro seniory. Předkládá charakteristiku jednotlivých zařízení následné a dlouhodobé péče v okrese Olomouc, jejich chronologický vývoj v období posledních dvaceti let (1989 - 2009). Z dizertační práce vyplývá nedostatečné zajištění následné a dlouhodobé péče o seniory v okrese Olomouc, zejména institucionální, což odpovídá i výsledku komparace aktuální situace následné a dlouhodobé péče s doporučeními stanovenými pro ČR, kdy byl zjištěn rovněž deficit v této oblasti péče. Byl zjištěn přesah zdravotně sociální péče o seniory v praxi. Problémem je dostupnost následné a dlouhodobé péče v okrese Olomouc a existence rehospitalizací seniorů na oddělení geriatrie FN Olomouc. Nabízí se také další problematické okruhy: nedostatečná koordinace mezi zdravotní a sociální péčí (následnou a dlouhodobou péčí), nedostatečná informovanost seniorů o možnostech následné a dlouhodobé péče, rovněž nutnost vzdělání a přípravy personálu v oblasti medicíny dlouhodobé péče. Existuje určitě řada dalších podnětů, jejichž úpravou a řešením by bylo možné přispět ke klidnému prožití poslední etapy lidského života, stáří. Závěr Oblast zajištění seniorů v okrese Olomouc jeví specifické problémy, které jsou v určitých rysech obecné v celorepublikovém pohledu. V okrese Olomouc jsou zřetelné nedostatečné možnosti zajištění seniorů v oblasti následné a dlouhodobé péče, v její dostupnosti. Tato situace ovšem představuje také výzvy k řešení hledání možností koordinace mezi jednotlivými pracovišti i v oblasti domácí péče, zohlednění v rámci komunitního plánování. German theatre, music and art associations in Olomouc between 1918 and 1938

2012 - Czech The thesis gives an overview of the major theatre, musical and art associations and how their respective activities played a role in the German cultural life of Olomouc. The overview includes the founding of individual associations, their structure, financing and members. After providing an overview of the main theatre, musical and art associations, an analysis of the debates on the cultural status and the tasks of the German culture life in the city (based on the publications in the German daily Mährisches Tagblatt) will then follow. This chapter also includes a review of the different plans to improve the coordination of the activities of German cultural associations in Olomouc which, for example, led to the building of the Deutsches Haus (German house) in 1933. The core of the work is a detailed analysis of the Deutscher Theaterverein in Olmütz (German Theatre Association in Olomouc) with focus on the structure of the association, its membership, financing and activities of the association which was founded just before the outbreak of the First World War. Disertační práce se soustředí na vývoj a aktivity německých divadelních, hudebních, pěveckých a uměleckých spolků, reprezentující kulturní a umělecké dění, které vycházelo z olomoucké německé společnosti samotné. V rámci disertace je prezentován přehled kulturních a uměleckých spolků, jejich struktura a činnost či zařazení do kulturního života Olomouce i analýza diskusí o kulturním stavu německé olomoucké společnosti. Dále jsou představeny koncepty ke zlepšení koordinace spolkových aktivit a pokus jejich provázání v podobě realizace ?Deutsches Haus? (Německý dům). Poslední těžiště a tzv. (hlavní) jádro práce tvoří podrobná analýza struktury, činnosti a financování spolku ?Deutscher Theaterverein in Olmütz? (Německý divadelní spolek v Olomouci), který byl založen ještě před vypuknutím první světové války a na základě jeho vývoje v období 1. ČSR je demonstrováno, jakým způsobem spolek čelil novým výzvám, které na jednou stranu přinesly výše už zmíněné nové politické, sociální a hospodářské poměry v českých zemích, a které na druhou stranu souvisely s celosvětovým společenským, hudebním, uměleckým a technickým vývojem. Education in photography for adults Survey study on the education of photographers in Olomouc in the years 1907-2012

2013 - Czech The dissertation maps the development of the adult education in the field of photography in Olomouc with emphasis on the particulars of individual stages of the considered period (1907-1948; 1948-1989; 1989-2012.) The author analyses the teaching methods and organizational forms of education in different time periods; further, she compares and evaluates the situation in education in the given field in the past and at present. The work in the form of an overview paper contributes to the understanding of the development of education in the field of photography in the region and evaluates the importance and benefits of selected Olomouc teachers and artists for the field. The research follows the qualitative transformation of education in teaching photography as well as the development of its objectives, depending on the evolution of the photographic medium, the improvement of methods and organizational forms of education, broadening the opportunities for the use of specific teaching resources, the educational methods of teachers and artists in individual time periods that are rigorously theoretically described in the individual sections of this work. Disertační práce mapuje vývoj vzdělávání dospělých v oblasti fotografie v Olomouci s důrazem na specifika dílčích etap sledovaného období (1907-1948; 1948-1989; 1989-2012.) Autorka analyzuje výukové metody a organizační formy vzdělávání v dílčích časových obdobích, dále srovnává a vyhodnocuje stav vzdělávání v daném oboru v minulosti a v současnosti. Práce ve formě přehledové studie přispívá k poznání vývoje edukace v oblasti fotografie v regionu a zhodnocuje význam a přínos vybraných olomouckých pedagogických a uměleckých osobností pro daný obor. Výzkumná část práce sleduje kvalitativní proměnu edukace v oblasti výuky fotografie a také vývoj jejích cílů, a to v závislosti na vývoji fotografického média, na zkvalitnění metod a organizačních forem vzdělávání, na rozšíření možností použití specifických didaktických prostředků, na edukačních metodách jednotlivých pedagogů a umělců v jednotlivých časových etapách, které jsou důsledně teoreticky popsány v jednotlivých kapitolách práce. Experimental wireless sensor network for air pollution monitoring in the centre of Olomouc city

2017 - Czech The aim of the thesis was to construct and evaluate wireless sensor network for meteorological and air pollution monitoring in city environment. The first part of this thesis was focused on the definition of the purpouse of wireless sensor network in Olomouc. Criteria for wireless sensor network components selection were determined. Commercially offered products were analysed. The selection of the most suitable components for Olomouc wireless sensor network was done using multicriteria analysis. Communication protocols for the effective data sending were developed. Communication algorithms for outdoor environment are not effective so that author designed two algorithms dealing with technical and terrain parameters on the basis of graph theory. The basemap for wireless sensor network visulization was selected during the eye-tracking experiment. The communication protocols were developed and tested. The nodes were situated on wooden bars in two clusters within the city. The first cluster was located in the center of Olomouc City, in the Faculty of Science Campus. The second cluster was situated in the uptown part of the city, in Scientific Park of Palacký University. Technical parameters of nodes were tested. These technical parameters included definition of the communication least loaded channel in the 2.4 GHz range, definition of battery consumption under different scenarios, determination of Received Signal Strengh Indication (RSSI) using anntenas with different capacity, determination of data delivery ratio (DDR). Thematic part of data was evaluated. The attention was aimed at comparison of measured values with etalon data. Sensors connected to Smart Environment nodes were less equal and suitable for measurements than sensors connected to the other models. Temperature and humidity data from the clusters showed the average variability of temperature and humidity values in the two Olomouc clusters. Chemical sensors were not calibrated so that they showed relative data comparable only within the concrete sensor. Trends in the course of the concrete sensor values can be discovered. Combination of this data with wind speed and direction values is the demanded part because these plots model the situation and shows the sectors with the highest pollution. Cílem disertační práce je vybudovat a ověřit bezdrátovou senzorovou síť v městském prostředí. V disertační práci je popsán celý proces od rozhodnutí využití této technologie přes výběr komponent a konfiguraci až po závěrečné vyhodnocení naměřených dat. První dílčí cíl je zaměřen na výběr komponent bezdrátové senzorové sítě. V rámci tohoto dílčího cíle je rozhodnuto, že bezdrátová senzorová síť bude sledovat klima města. Dalším krokem je proveden průzkum trhu a stanovena kritéria výběru komponent. Dále jsou nastaveny ideální hodnoty kritérií pro olomouckou bezdrátovou senzorovou síť. Na podkladě těchto údajů jsou pomocí multikriteriální analýzy z nabízených možností vybrány komponenty pro olomouckou bezdrátovou senzorovou síť. Obsahem druhého dílčího cíle je navrhnout rozmístění uzlů bezdrátové senzorové sítě v terénu. V rámci distribučních algoritmů pro bezdrátové senzorové sítě je pouze zřídka řešen terén, a tak bylo přistoupeno k návrhu algoritmů, které při rozmisťování uzlů berou v potaz technické možnosti uzlů i terénní parametry. Propojení uzlů je založeno na teorii grafů. Třetí dílčí cíl se soustředí na ověření konfigurace uzlů, do nichž jsou nahrány vytvořené komunikační protokoly. Uzly jsou rozmístěny do dvou klastrů do terénu. Jeden klastr se nachází na kraji města Olomouc a druhý v jeho centru. Technická data z bezdrátové senzorové sítě jsou zhodnocena. Tato technická data zahrnují identifikaci kanálu, který je nejméně zatížen komunikací, ověření výdrže baterie v rozdílných konfiguracích, sledování síly signálu a zhodnocení úspěšnosti přenesených paketů. Dále je konfigurováno úložiště dat ze senzorů v bráně a vytvořeno záložní, do nějž jsou filtrována data bez hrubých a systematických chyb. Čtvrtý dílčí cíl se zaměřuje na meteorologické a chemické prvky získané bezdrátovou senzorovou sítí. Nejprve je provedeno porovnání naměřených meteorologických dat s daty referenčními. Po vyhodnocení přesnosti měření je pozornost zaměřena na teplotní a vlhkostní data získaná v obou klastrech. Dále je uveden návod pro práci s nenakalibrovanými chemickými čidly a ukázány denní, týdenní a měsíční trendy v jejich chodu. Závěrem jsou spojena meteorologická a chemická data a vyvozeny závěry o zdrojích znečištění ovzduší v Olomouci. 2010 - Czech Dissertation provides an overview of knowledge about the extent and characteristics of malignancies in patients after kidney transplantation, analyses and evaluates the incidence and risk factors for malignant tumors in patients followed in the transplant center at University Hospital in Olomouc during the 25 years, provides an overview of recommendations for the prevention of malignant cancer patients after renal transplantation and suggests the concept of optimal preventive strategy for patients observed in the transplant center of University Hospital Olomouc. Disertační práce přináší přehled poznatků o míře a charakteristikách zatížení populace pacientů po transplantaci ledviny zhoubnými nádorovými onemocněními, zpracovává a hodnotí výskyt a rizikové faktory vzniku zhoubných nádorových onemocnění u pacientů sledovaných v transplantačním centru FN Olomouc v průběhu 25 let, poskytuje přehled doporučení pro prevenci výskytu zhoubných nádorových onemocnění u pacientů po transplantaci ledviny a navrhuje koncepci optimální preventivní strategie pro pacienty sledované v transplantačním centru FN Olomouc. 2018 - Czech The following dissertation focuses on Germans in Olomouc from the second half of the "long" 19th Century. Its focus is on the period from 1880s to the end of the second decade of 20th Century. Main emphasis is on issue of nature of Germans in Olomouc from the point of view of politics, nationalism, school system and legislation of national school system in Cisleithania, mainly in Moravia. This work also focuses on local government in Olomouc and the position of Olomouc in the state administration hierarchy of the Czech lands and Habsburg Monarchy. V předkládané disertační práci je pojednáno o olomouckých Němcích ve druhé polovině "dlouhého" 19. století. Akcentováno je přitom období od 80. let 19. století do konce druhé dekády 20. století. Hlavní důraz je položen na problematiku němectví v Olomouci z hlediska politiky, projevů nacionalismu, na oblast školství a legislativy národnostního školství v Předlitavsku, obzvláště pak na Moravě. V textu je také řešeno téma olomoucké samosprávy a postavení Olomouce v rámci českých zemí a habsburské monarchie.
