The dissertation is concerned with sign theoretical aspects of humor and fun, with particular attention to the area of visual humor. Generally the emphasis is put on the issues of intentionality. The model of sign processes for production and reception of humorous stimuli, presented in this paper, is based on Roland Posners pragmatic classification of sign processes (1993). 2018 - německý Von einer diskurssemantischen Auseinandersetzung im Bereich der sich auf Foucault stützenden Diskursanalyse ausgehend beschäftigt sich die Arbeit mit Manfred Franks hermeneutischer Rezeption von einem der neostrukturalistischen Schlüsselkonzepte, der restance non présente von Jacques Derrida, und untersucht sowohl die neostrukturalistische wie auch die hermeneutische Zeichentheorie hinsichtlich ihres Potentials, das Phänomen des Sprachwandels mit einer plausiblen Erklärung der Fähigkeit des Sprechers zu versöhnen, sich sprachlich zu verschiedenen Zeiten, in verschiedenen Diskursen oder in verschiedenen epistemischen Positionen auf Identisches zu beziehen. In derselben Perspektive verfolgt der Text auch Franks Kritik an der sprachanalytischen Grundannahme von der semantischen Symmetrie in der epistemisch differenten Positionen. Der Text vermittelt einige Zweifel in Bezug auf Franks Zeichentheorie, die dieser in der Opposition zu dem Neostrukturalismus und in Übereinstimmung mit dem "authentischen" Saussure formulierte, schätzt aber auch hoch die aussichtsreiche Richtung von Franks neuesten Auslegungen zur zeichentheoretisch sehr relevanten Selbstbewusstseinslehre und zur linguistischen Analyse der De-se-Propositionen. On the occasion of a discourse-semantic confusion in the domain of the discourse analysis based on Foucault, the text focuses on Manfred Frank's hermeneutic reception of a neostructuralist key concept, the restance non présente of Jacques Derrida, and inspects both the (neo)structuralist and the hermeneutical theory of sign with regard to their potential to reconcile the phenomenon of language change with a plausible explanation of the ability of the speakers to refer to an identical item in the discourse(s). Thenafter, in the same respect, Franks criticism on the language philosophy assumption of the semantic symmetry is persued. The text expresses some doubts concerning Frank's theory of sign, which has been formulated in the opposition towards the neostructuralism and in accordance with the authentic Saussure, and, on the other hand, appreciates the promising direction of Frank's latest thought grounded in his consciousness theory and based on the linguistic analysis of the de se attitudes. 2018 - německý Jan ze Středy (Johannes von Novoforo nebo Johann von Neumarkt) byl velmi významným úředníkem na dvoře Karla IV. Pocházel ze zámožné kupecké rodiny v polské Středě. Svou kariéru započal v roce 1347 jako písař na Karlově pražském dvoře, ovšem již o pět let později byl jmenován do pozice králova notáře, čímž výrazně zvýšil svůj vliv. Aniž by se této funkce vzdal, byl roku 1364 zvolen olomouckým biskupem. Jan ze Středy nebyl ale jen vlivným politikem, církevním hodnostářem a kulturním mecenášem, nýbrž po sobě zanechal také významné literární dílo psané v latině i v němčině. Řadu jeho textů ovšem tvořily překlady a přepracování latinských vzorů. Disertační práce se zabývá korpusem nejdůležitějších spisů Jana ze Středy: souborem německých modliteb, dvěma kontemplativními texty zvanými "Buch der Liebkosung" a "Stachel der Liebe" a překladem Jeronýmových dopisů. Tato díla se dochovala celkem ve 224 rukopisech, přičemž mnohé z nich dosud nebyly představeny odborné veřejnosti. Cílem práce bylo proto popsat dochované rukopisy z hlediska kodikologického a paleografického, jakožto i prozkoumat jejich vzájemné vztahy. Práce se dále zabývá otázkou, za jakých okolností a v jakém prostředí byly tyto kodexy vytvořeny, a pojednává literární a společenský kontext jednotlivých textů a jejich recepci. John of Neumarkt (Johannes von Novoforo or Jan ze Středy) was a very influential official at the imperial court of Charles IV. He was descended from a wealthy merchant family of Neumarkt. He started as a scribe at the court of Charles IV in 1347 and after five years advanced to the very influential position of chancellor. As such he was elected bishop of Olomouc in 1364. John of Neumarkt was not only an important politician, church official and patron but he also left behind a considerable literary work written in Latin and German. Many of his texts were German translations of Latin models. The PhD theses analyses the most important corpora of John of Neumarkt's writings: a German collection of prayers, two contemplative texts, the so called "Buch der Liebkosung" and "Stachel der Liebe", and the translation of the letters of St. Jerome. These items are transmitted in 224 mss., many of which are completely unknown. The aim of the work is a codicological and paleographical description of the manuscripts, an analysis of their interrelations, an identification of the context of their origin, and last but not least the analysis of the literary and social context of individual texts and their reception. Bernhard Setzwein und der tschechische Aspekt in seinem Schaffen

2014 - německý Předložená disertační práce se zabývá životem a dílem současného bavorského prozaika, básníka, dramatika a žurnalisty Bernharda Setzweina. Pozornost je věnována především jeho literární orientaci na české prostředí, která se různým způsobem odráží v textech tohoto autora. Díky rozboru Setzweinovy tvorby bylo možno charakterizovat jeho způsob psaní a literární postupy, které jsou pro něho typické. Jedná se zejména o inspiraci osobami a jejich osudy, dále konkrétními místy, reálnými příběhy a také rolí intertextuality v jeho textech. Setzwein vytváří určitý druh intelektuální hry, díky které chce postihnout smysl možného, snaží se ztvárnit různé perspektivy. Na druhé straně jsou jeho díla jakýmsi literárním obrazem jak doby současné, tak i některých dějinných etap. K rysům tvorby tohoto bavorského spisovatele patří i kombinace realismu s fantaskními prvky všeho druhu. Bernhard Setzwein je rodákem z Mnichova. Před více jak dvaceti lety se přestěhoval do bezprostřední blízkosti česko-bavorské hranice, a to znamenalo i postupnou, ale trvalou změnu v obsahu jeho děl. Téma Mnichova neopouští úplně. Do popředí se však dostávají náměty spojené se střední Evropou, především však s Českou republikou. Setzwein se seznamuje s novým kulturním prostorem, což se odráží v textech různých žánrů. Tento bavorský autor je velkým znalcem české literatury, kterou spojuje s melancholií, určitou časovou neurčitostí, ale i pivem. Je obdivovatelem díla Bohumila Hrabala, Vladislava Vančury, Oty Pavla a mnohých dalších českých spisovatelů. Pomyslným vrcholem s ohledem na český kontext v díle Setzweina představuje jeho románová trilogie ,,Trilogie aus der Mitte der Böhmischen Masse". Tato disertace se věnuje prvním dvou dílům, tedy románům Die grüne Jungfer a Ein seltsames Land. Jejich analýza se nejdříve orientuje na systém vyprávění, ztvárnění času a prostoru a charakteristiku postav. Dále jsou zde prezentovány Setzweinovy literární postupy a jejich konkrétní uplatnění v těchto dílech. The thesis deals with life and work of a contemporary Bavarian prose-writer, poet, playwright and journalist Bernhard Setzwein. The work is particularly focused on author's preference of setting his books in the Czech Republic. This is reflected in various ways in many of his texts. Thanks to analysis of Setzwein's writings it was possible to characterize his way of writing and writing schemes that he commonly uses. These were namely lives of people which inspired him, specific places, real stories and a role of intertextuality in his texts. Setzwein makes a sort of intellectual game which enables him to realize interpretation of what is possible, he tries to formulate diverse perspectives. On the other hand, his books are a literary portrait of both today and several historical periods. Combination of realism and fantastic elements of all types distinguishes him form other authors. Bernhard Setzwein was born in Munich. More than twenty years ago he moved close to the Czech-Bavarian border and it meant a gradual change in the content of his work. He does not entirely abandon the topic of Munich. Though he prefers motives connected to Central Europe, the Czech Republic above all. Setzwein discovers new cultural environment which appears in texts written in different genres. This Bavarian author is an expert on the Czech literature which, according to him, embodies melancholy, certain vagueness in the conception of time and of course, beer. He admires the masterpiece of Bohumi Hrabal, Vladislav Vančura, Ota Pavel and other Czech writers. Setzwein's triology ,,Trilogie aus der Mitte der Böhmischen Masse" represents the acme of achievement concerning Czech context. The thesis focuses on the first two volumes, novels Die grüne Jungfer and Ein seltsames Land. The analysis concentrates on narrative system approaches, the notion of time and place and characterization of his characters. Furthermore, it introduces Setzwein's writing schemes and the way they are used in these books. 2016 - německý Disertační práce se zabývá německým jazykem v Rakousku, zejména jazykovou situací u mladší a vzdělanější generace. Na základě provedeného sociolingvistického šetření, kterého se zúčastnilo celkem 300 respondentů z celého Rakouska (jednalo se zejména o zástupce věkové kategorie 19-30 let se středoškolským vzděláním s maturitou, popř. vzděláním vysokoškolským), bylo možné porovnat užití konkrétních výrazů mezi vybranými spolkovými zeměmi a rovněž potvrdit či vyvrátit stanovené hypotézy. This thesis focuses on the German language in Austria, especially on the language situation in the younger and more educated generation. Based on the sociolinguistic survey in which 300 respondents from all over Austria participated (focusing on the 19-30 year old age range with a secondary education or a university degree), it was possible to compare specific expressions among selected federal states of Austria and to confirm or disprove our hypotheses. 2016 - německý Disertační práce se zabývá deminutivy v německých a českých pohádkách z 19. století a ze současnosti. Jejím cílem je porovnat, jaké prostředky deminuce se ve vybraných dílech vysky-tují, v jakém množství jsou použity a jaké plní sémantické a pragmatické funkce. Velká po-zornost je proto věnována slovotvorbě, při níž jsou slova zdrobnělá rozdělena na tvary synte-tické a analytické, jejichž vzájemný poměr je ve zvoleném časovém období rovněž sledován. The dissertation deals with diminutives in German and Czech in fairy tales of the 19th century and the present. The main task of the thesis is to compare the formation and development of diminutives in both languages, to find out how often the diminutive morphemes are used and what semantic and pragmatic functions they fulfil. The diminutives collected are classified as the synthetic and the analytic forms. The research is also focused on the change of the relationship between these two classes from the 19th century to the present.
