Determined mineralogical and chemical composition of the surface layers of sandstone sculptures was interpreted as the result of the weathering processes in the past. The influence of atmospherical pollution and previous restoration and conservation of the stone was discussed. Mineralogicko-chemický průzkum povrchových vrstev pískovcové sochy byl zaměřen na projevy zvětrávání v prostředí městské atmosféry a vedl k diskusi o možných procesech v minulosti i vlivem dřívějších restaurátorských zásahů. When restoring historical paintings and sculptures, some removed fragments have been measured using electron microanalysis and X-ray diffraction methods. Results obtained from this material research were used to identify the original ground and painting layers and to choose the suitable restoration procedure. Vzorky odebrané v rámci restaurátorských zásahů byly analyzovány metodami elektronové mikroanalýzy a RTG-difrakční analýzy. Interpretace výsledků přispěly k identifikaci původních vrstev, procesů následných změn a k volbě postupu restaurování. Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Pre-restoration materials research of the painting is based on microscopic (both optical and electron) analyses of grounds and painting layers in the cross-sections of fragments with the aim to identify pigments and to describe the stratigraphy of re-ts involving to choose the suitable restoration procedure. Other methods (e.g. microchemical and histochemical tests) are used for identification of binding media. Materiálový průzkum malby v rámci restaurátorského zásahu využívá zejména metod optické a elektronové mikroskopie a mikroanalýzy fragmentárních příčných řezů barevných vrstev k identifikaci pigmentů a popisu stratigrafie přemaleb, což přispívá ke správné volbě restaurátorského postupu. Další, zejména mikrochemické a histochemické metody jsou použity k identifikaci pojiv. Evaluation of suitable raw materials; analytical methods for determination of contaminant concentrations; determination of phase equilibria in the system sulphuric acid ů ammonium sulphate ů aluminium sulphate ů water.
