2020 - Czech The proceedings of the 16th international session on the issue of sepulchral monuments, which took place in Prague on 25 October - 27 October 2017. It contains seventeen papers in total, which deal directly or contextually with sepulchral monuments from the Late Middle Ages to the 21st century. Besides, the territorially Bohemian and Moravian issue as well as the Slovak and Polish issues have a significant share. The proceedings are divided in to three parts, in terms of the religious context of the discussed themes - hence into parts devoted to Christian, Jewish and finally supplemental, but still in the Central European milieu, Islamic sepulchral monuments. Sborník 16. mezinárodního zasedání k problematice sepulkrálních památek, které se konalo v Praze ve dnech 25. října - 27. října 2017. Obsahuje celkem sedmnáct referátů, které se přímo či kontextuálně zabývají sepulkrálními památkami od pozdního středověku do 21. století. Je zastoupena česká, moravská, slovenská a polská problematika. Sborník je rozdělen do tří částí z hlediska náboženského kontextu diskutovaných témat - do části věnované sepulkrálním památkám křesťanským, židovským a komplementárně, ale stále ve středoevropském prostředí, islámským. 2020 - Czech In its regular February survey the Public Opinion Research Centre further examined whether people think that politicians are interested in the views of citizens, and whether in the opinion of the Czech public, people have certain opportunities to influence the public sphere. Ve svém pravidelném únorovém šetření Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění podrobněji zkoumalo, zda si lidé myslí, že se politici zajímají o názory občanů, a zda podle mínění české veřejnosti mají lidé možnost ovlivňovat veřejnou sféru. Dále jsme se občanů zeptali, jestli si myslí, že je s nimi v současném politickém systému zacházeno rovnoprávně a spravedlivě a také jak jsou v České republice respektována lidská práva. Public opinion on foreign nationals settling in the Czech Republic – March 2020

2020 - Czech In March 2018 the Public Opinion Research Centre examined as a part of its survey the opinions of the Czech public on long-term or permanently residing foreigners in the Czech Republic. Specifically, there were examined attitudes whether there are too many, appropriate amount, or too few foreigners living in the country, whether foreigners should have the right for the long-term residing in the country and whether the state should allow them to settle here permanently. There were also examined the reasons for the acceptance of immigrants and whether they should adapt to Czech customs. V březnu 2020 Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR v rámci svého pravidelného šetření zkoumalo názory české veřejnosti na cizince dlouhodobě či trvale žijící v České republice. Konkrétně byly zjišťovány názory na množství cizinců žijících v ČR, zda a za jakým účelem by měl být pobyt cizinců v ČR umožněn. 2020 - Czech In March 2020 CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in the Czech Republic. Majority (73 %) claimed that foreigners living in the Czech Republic should become conformed to Czech cultural habits as much as possible, another of informants (24 %) said that foreigners should adapt to czech cultural habits just in some aspects. And 2 % said that foreigners should be allowed to live according to their habits. V březnu 2020 se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR v rámci svého pravidelného šetření zabývalo postojem české společnosti k otázce, zda by se cizinci žijící v České republice měli nebo neměli přizpůsobit našim životním zvyklostem. 2020 - Czech Free-lance soldier who gained fame in the battles of the Thirty–Year’s War, but also substantial possessions, which he could not use for long. He became holder of some estates in South Bohemia,but was not honoured by his vassalry, as the preserved tales show. He was also a generous benefactor of the Catholic Church. Was his legacy to the Church an expression of penitence and desire to undo his bad deeds? Žoldnéř, který dobyl během tažení třicetileté války nejen slávu na polích válečných, ale získal i značný majetek, na jehož využití mu však nebyl vyměřen dlouhý čas. Stal se držitelem statků v jižních a jihozápadních Čechách, ale dle všeho si úctu poddaných nevydobyl, jak svědčí aspoň dochované pověsti. Byl také štědrým mecenášem katolické církve. Byly jeho odkazy pro církev výrazem pokání a touhy po odčinění špatných skutků? 2020 - Czech The introductory chapter of the book presents the history of research into the phenomenon of forced service to the inhabitants of the occupied countries in the German armed forces. The grant project, the output of which is the presented book, is a continuation and deepening of this research. Emphasis is placed on international cooperation and on cross-border and transnational perspectives. Úvodní kapitola knihy představuje historii výzkumu fenoménu nucené služby obyvatel okupovaných zemí v německé branné moci. Grantový projekt, jehož výstupem je kniha, je pokračováním a prohloubením tohoto výzkumu. Důraz je kladen na mezinárodní spolupráci a na přeshraniční a transnacionální perspektivy. 2020 - Czech In the September 2020 survey the Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic posed to all respondents a question: "How satisfied are you with your life? Are you very satisfied, rather satisfied, neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, rather dissatisfied, very dissatisfied?"\n66% of Czech citizens are satisfied with their life, 10% are dissatisfied, and 24% are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied V rámci zářijového výzkumu Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR, v.v.i. požádalo respondenty o zhodnocení spokojenosti se svým životem. Bezmála dvě třetiny (66 %) populace jsou spokojeny se svým životem. Od roku 2013 měla spokojenost se životem většinou vzestupnou tendenci, v průběhu roku 2017 se tento nárůst zastavil a opět se začal mírně zvyšovat od června 2018. V posledním roce se však tento růst v podstatě zastavil. Spokojenost se životem roste s klesajícím věkem, s rostoucím vzděláním a zlepšujícím se hodnocením životní úrovně vlastní domácnosti.
