In its regular February survey the Public Opinion Research Centre further examined whether people think that politicians are interested in the views of citizens, and whether in the opinion of the Czech public, people have certain opportunities to influence the public sphere. Ve svém pravidelném únorovém šetření Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění podrobněji zkoumalo, zda si lidé myslí, že se politici zajímají o názory občanů, a zda podle mínění české veřejnosti mají lidé možnost ovlivňovat veřejnou sféru. Dále jsme se občanů zeptali, jestli si myslí, že je s nimi v současném politickém systému zacházeno rovnoprávně a spravedlivě a také jak jsou v České republice respektována lidská práva.

Public Opinion on the Role of Men and Women in Family - February 2020

In its February survey CVVM examined attitudes of Czech citizens to roles of men and women in family. According to the Czech public opinion should be the domain of men in a family doing common household repairs. Cooking and tidying up were considered as typical women's activities. V rámci svého únorového šetření se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění SOÚ AV ČR podrobně zaměřilo na názory českých občanů na role mužů a žen v rodině.

In March 2018 the Public Opinion Research Centre examined as a part of its survey the opinions of the Czech public on long-term or permanently residing foreigners in the Czech Republic. Specifically, there were examined attitudes whether there are too many, appropriate amount, or too few foreigners living in the country, whether foreigners should have the right for the long-term residing in the country and whether the state should allow them to settle here permanently. There were also examined the reasons for the acceptance of immigrants and whether they should adapt to Czech customs. V březnu 2020 Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR v rámci svého pravidelného šetření zkoumalo názory české veřejnosti na cizince dlouhodobě či trvale žijící v České republice. Konkrétně byly zjišťovány názory na množství cizinců žijících v ČR, zda a za jakým účelem by měl být pobyt cizinců v ČR umožněn.

Czech Public's Attitudes to the integration of Foreigners – March 2020

In March 2020 CVVM investigated Czech public's views with regard to foreigners who live in the long term or permanently in the Czech Republic. Majority (73 %) claimed that foreigners living in the Czech Republic should become conformed to Czech cultural habits as much as possible, another of informants (24 %) said that foreigners should adapt to czech cultural habits just in some aspects. And 2 % said that foreigners should be allowed to live according to their habits. V březnu 2020 se Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR v rámci svého pravidelného šetření zabývalo postojem české společnosti k otázce, zda by se cizinci žijící v České republice měli nebo neměli přizpůsobit našim životním zvyklostem. Kromě toho byla položena otázka na hodnocení důležitosti okolností, které ovlivňují přijetí cizinců.

Contentment with Life - September 2020

In the September 2020 survey the Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic posed to all respondents a question: "How satisfied are you with your life? Are you very satisfied, rather satisfied, neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, rather dissatisfied, very dissatisfied?"\n66% of Czech citizens are satisfied with their life, 10% are dissatisfied, and 24% are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied V rámci zářijového výzkumu Centrum pro výzkum veřejného mínění Sociologického ústavu AV ČR, v.v.i. požádalo respondenty o zhodnocení spokojenosti se svým životem. Bezmála dvě třetiny (66 %) populace jsou spokojeny se svým životem. Od roku 2013 měla spokojenost se životem většinou vzestupnou tendenci, v průběhu roku 2017 se tento nárůst zastavil a opět se začal mírně zvyšovat od června 2018. V posledním roce se však tento růst v podstatě zastavil. Spokojenost se životem roste s klesajícím věkem, s rostoucím vzděláním a zlepšujícím se hodnocením životní úrovně vlastní domácnosti.

Food Wasting, Shopping and Consumption Behaviour of Czech Households – Food 2020

In a special study called Food 2020, CVVM SOÚ AV ČR (Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences) asked for the opinions and attitudes of the Czech public on the issue of food wasting. The respondents assessed the severity of the problem of food wasting, estimated how much food their household disposes of and possibly, how much of the disposed food could be avoided, what were the causes of food disposal and stated the reasons for not disposing of food. \n\nIn the next part of the research, we focused on the shopping and consumer behaviour of the respondents, asking in particular where and how often they shop, how much they spend on food and what activities they do in connection with buying food. We were also interested in finding out who, according to the respondents, has the largest share in the total amount of disposed of food and on the contrary, who according to them, strives the most to reduce food wasting in the Czech Republic. Another part of this block of questions was focused on the Czech public's familiarity with the terms "best before" and "use by". Ve speciálním výzkumu Potraviny 2020 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR zjišťovalo názory a postoje české veřejnosti k problematice plýtvání potravinami. Respondenti hodnotili závažnost problému plýtvání potravinami, odhadovali, kolik potravin jejich domácnost přibližně vyhodí a případně jakému množství vyhozených potravin by se dalo vyhnout, jaké jsou příčiny vyhazování potravin a rovněž uváděli, jaké důvody je vedou k tomu, aby potraviny nevyhazovali. \n\nV další části výzkumu jsme se zaměřili na nákupní a spotřební chování respondentů, konkrétně jsme zjišťovali, kde a jak často nakupují, kolik za nákup potravin přibližně utratí a jaké aktivity dělají v souvislosti s nakupováním potravin. Dále nás zajímalo, kdo má podle respondentů největší podíl na celkovém množství vyhozených potravin a naopak kdo podle nich nejvíce usiluje o snižování plýtvání potravinami v ČR. Další část tohoto bloku otázek se zaměřovala na obeznámenost české veřejnosti s pojmy „Minimální trvanlivost“ a „Spotřebujte do“.

In a special study called Food 2020, CVVM SOÚ AV ČR asked for the opinions and attitudes of the Czech public on the issue of food wasting. One part was focused on the purchase of imperfect fruits and vegetables. \n\nIf there were imperfect and perfectly shaped pieces of fruits and vegetables placed next to each other, 59% of the respondents would chose the perfect one, provided they had the same price.\n\nAs for the estimate of the amount of fruits and vegetables that do not reach consumers at all due to their appearance, the correct share (i.e. 20 to 30%) was estimated by almost two-fifths (37%) of the respondents. Ve speciálním výzkumu Potraviny 2020 CVVM SOÚ AV ČR zjišťovalo názory a postoje české veřejnosti k problematice plýtvání potravinami. Jedna část byla zaměřena na nákup vzhledově ne zcela dokonalého ovoce a zeleniny.\n\nPři zachování stejné ceny by si mezi zeleninou a ovocem, kde by byly nedokonalé a tvarově perfektní kusy vedle sebe, vybralo 59 % dotázaných tu dokonalou.\n\nCo se týče odhadu množství ovoce a zeleniny, která se kvůli svému vzhledu ke spotřebitelům vůbec nedostane, správný podíl (tedy 20 až 30 %) odhadují téměř dvě pětiny (37 %) dotázaných.

In the June survey the Public Opinion Research Centre focused on the issue of energetics. The survey dealt with a question of the future development of electricity consumption in the country, and whether or not it is possible to replace the production of electricity from conventional sources with alternative sources.\nAlmost three quarters of Czechs expect to increase electricity consumption in the Czech Republic in the future.\nThe Czech public is divided on the question of whether it is possible to replace the production of electricity from conventional sources with the production of electricity from wind energy, solar radiation or biomass combustion. V červnu 2020 byl do pravidelného výzkumu Naše společnost zařazen blok otázek věnovaných problematice energetiky. Výzkum se zabýval tím, jak se bude do budoucna vyvíjet spotřeba elektrické energie u nás a zda je či není možné nahradit výrobu elektrické energie z klasických zdrojů alternativními zdroji.\nTéměř tříčtvrtinová většina Čechů předpokládá do budoucna zvyšování spotřeby elektrické energie v ČR.\nV otázce, zda je možné nahradit výrobu elektrické energie z klasických zdrojů výrobou elektrické energie z větrné energie, slunečního záření nebo ze spalování biomasy, je česká veřejnost rozpolcena.

In its June 2020 survey, the Our Society series included a battery of questions on issues of energy. Within that battery, we focused on a new avenue of development of nuclear energy in the world, namely the so-called small modular reactors. V červnu 2020 byl do pravidelného výzkumu Naše společnost zařazen blok otázek věnovaných problematice energetiky. V jeho rámci jsme se zaměřili na nový směr rozvoje jaderné energetiky ve světě, který představují tzv. malé modulární reaktory.

In September 2020 the Public Opinion Research Centre examined views of the Czech public on the creation of special schools in compulsory nine-year basic education and views on whether the children with physical or mental disabilities, children from poor or vice versa from wealthy families, children of foreign nationals, Roma children and gifted children should be educated in mainstream classes. Pravidelný výzkum CVVM v září 2020 zjišťoval názory české veřejnosti na zřizování praktických a speciálních základních škol, základních škol s rozšířenou výukou a víceletých gymnázií. Dále zjišťoval názory na to, zda by se děti se zdravotním nebo mentálním postižením, děti z chudých či naopak z bohatých rodin, děti cizích státních příslušníků, romské děti a mimořádně nadané děti měly vzdělávat v běžných třídách.
