Handbook offers a basic survey of the theoretical and methodological framework of the project. Goals of the project, research methodology, sample description, and methods used are described. The methods developed for the specific purposes of this research (semi-structured interview) are described in detail. Manuál poskytuje základní přehled o teoretické a metodologické koncepci projektu. Jsou uvedeny cíle projektu, metodologie výzkumu, údaje o souboru, použité metody a účel jejich použití. Metody vytvořené pro potřeby výzkumu (semi-strukturovaný rozhor) jsou detailně popsány.

Narrative therapy: polyphonic choir

Narrative therapy is shortly characterised and reasons explaining its existence are mentioned. Psychodynamic, cognitive-constructivist, and social constructionist versions of narrative therapy are introduced. Theoretical sources such as approaches to the life-story and some representations of these three versions are also discussed. It is argued that the individual life-story brings closer different therapeutic approaches. It is concluded that each psychotherapy is a process of the three overlapping phases: Life-story telling, life-story reading and life-story re-telling. Stručně je charakterizována narativní terapie a důvody, které objasňují její existenci. Diskutovány jsou tři různé verze narativní terapie ů psychodynamická, kognitivně-konstruktivistická a sociálně-konstruktionistická, jejich zdroje, pojetí příběhu a dílčí varianty. Jsou uvedeny argumenty pro tvrzení, že životní příběh člověka sbližuje různé terapeutické přístupy. Psychoterapie se pak bez ohledu na teoretická východiska jeví jako proces tří překrývajících se stadií: 1. vyprávění příběhu, 2. čtení příběhu, 3. převyprávění životního příběhu.

This report resumes results of the research about the efficacy of aid, which was provided to the victims of flood in the Czech Republic in 2002. Introductory chapter includes survey of knowledges about catastrophical events, human reactions to these events, and about the organizational and providing principles for help by these events. Next chapters pursue results of the qualitative research of the workers view to the flood and important and critical moments in aid providing, and of quantitative research of flood (including aid) nursing from the view of victims. Special part of the report pursue the image of one from the aid providers ů assigner of the project, Czech Caritas ů in printed media. Project was realized in cooperation with Czech Caritas and by financial contributing of German Caritas (DCV). Zpráva shrnuje výsledky výzkumu efektivity pomoci poskytované obětem povodní, které zasáhly značnou část ČR v roce 2002. Úvodní teoretická kapitola obsahuje přehled poznatků o katastrofických událostech, reakcích na ně a zásadách organizace a poskytování pomoci. Další kapitoly jsou věnovány výsledkům kvalitativního výzkumu obrazu povodňových událostí a důležitých či kritických momentů v poskytování pomoci z perspektivy pomáhajících a kvantitativního šetření prožívání povodňových událostí včetně poskytované pomoci z perspektivy obětí. Zvláštní oddíl je věnován obrazu jednoho z poskytovatelů pomoci a zadavatele projektu ů České katolické charity ů v tištěných médiích. Projekt byl realizován ve spolupráci s Českou katolickou charitou za finančního přispění Německé katolické charity (DCV).

Devastative floods in the Czech Republic in summer 2002 were very demanding for every involved people ů both for direct victims and members of helping organizations. This study is a preliminary report about research, which was provided in cooperation with Czech Caritas. Is addressed to impact of flood on both material background and psychical state of victims. On the basis of broad survey (N= 492 households in different districts of the Czech Republic) brings informations about the course of floods, about damages, experiencing of floods and following year by victims and specifically about assessing of provided humanitary and psychosocial aid by victims. Ničivé záplavy v ČR v roce 2002 představovaly značnou zátěž pro všechny zasažené ů pro přímé oběti i pro pomáhající organizace. Příspěvek je předběžným sdělením o výzkumu, prováděném na základě objednávky České katolické charity. Zabývá se dopady povodní na materiální zázemí i psychiku obětí. Na základě rozsáhlého šetření (492 oslovených domácností v různých regionech) přináší obraz průběhu povodní, škod, prožívání povodně a následujícího roku obětmi a zaměřuje se i na hodnocení poskytované humanitární i psychosociální pomoci obětmi.

Cannabis Users in the Context of Treatment Demand Indicators

The increase in cannabis consumption in the past decade has created a need for continuous monitoring of risk behaviour indicators and a need for better prediction of this development in relation on the future demand for conselling and treatment interventions. A specific position among these indicators is occupied by the Treatment Demand ů TD, showing the total number of users in treatment for the period in question, and the First Treatment Demand Indicator ů FTD, showing the total number of individuals demending treatment for the first time in their lives for the period in question. In addition to providing a summary of these indicators in the Czech Republic, the authors deal with the secondary analysis of the data collected by means of a qualitative study using the focus-group method. The study focused on the service providers who reported the highest numbers of treatment demands for the year 2002. Průběžný nárůst spotřeby konopných drog v posledních 10 letech v ČR vede k potřebě průběžného kvalitního monitoringu indikátorů rizikového chování a potřebě lépe predikovat tento vývoj zejména ve vztahu k budoucí poptávce po poradenských a léčebných intervencích. Mezi těmito indikátory zaujímají zvláštní postavení žádosti o léčbu, tj. TD sledující celkový počet léčících se uživatelů za evidované období a FTD sledující celkový počet prvních žádostí o léčbu za evidované období. Autoři se v textu kromě přehledu stavu těchto indikátorů v ČR zabývají sekundární analýzou získaných údajů prostřednictvím kvalitativní studie provedené metodou ohniskových skupin. Studie byla zaměřena na poskytovatele služeb, kteří za rok 2002 vykázali nejvyšší počet žadatelů.

Work of Josef Viewegh and its contribution to the Czech and Slovak psychology is analysed. J. Viewegh, one of the few Czech psychologists, was inspired by German Geisteswisenschafte psychology. He focused on the art as a source of knowledge about its author. He believed that psychology must be considered as an interdisciplinary branch of knowledge. His researches on diaries and creativity of writers, who commited suicide, support his opinion. He argued that authentic subjective experience is most valid means of understanding the individual. Viewegh´s psyhological analyses of aphorism and his theory of imagination and creativity are also mentioned. Autor analyzuje v příspěvku přínos díla Josefa Viewegha pro českou a slovenskou psychologii. J. Viewegh se jako jeden z mála českých psychologů inspiroval německou duchovědnou psychologií. Zaměřil se na otázku, zda umělecké dílo může přispět k poznání jeho tvůrce. Psychologii považoval důsledně za interdisciplinární obor, což dokládal svými výzkumy osobních dokumentů a tvůrčího procesu literátů, kteří spáchali sebevraždu. Subjektivní prožitek jako autentický výraz osobnosti považoval za validní zdroj informací pro porozumění jedinci.V článku jsou dále zmíněny Vieweghovy psychologické analýzy aforismu a jeho teorie fantazie a kreativity.

Report gives detailed description of risky behaviors and both risk and protective factors of development of youth from urban areas. Research was carried out with the national representative sample of adolescents (4.980 participants) in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16-y-o) in the capital Prague and twelve regional capitols. Report gives overview for living areas. Zpráva podává podrobnou deskripci rizikového chování a rizikových i protektivních faktorů vývoje dospívajících z městských oblastí. Výzkum byl proveden na národním souboru adolescentů (4.980 osob) ve třech věkových kohortách (12, 14 a 16 let) v hlavním městě Praze a ve 12 krajských městech. Zpráva podává přehled pro městské oblasti podle jejich velikosti.

Some perspectives of qualitative research: software for analysing qualitative data

The author deals with problems of choosing and using software for analysing qualitative data. He mentions the hopes, fears and fantasies connected with new technologies, the ways of using computers in qualitative research, and the reasons for using software for analysing qualitative data. He presents the types of software for analysing qualitative data including some examples. He sums up the recommendations for using software in qualitative research. In the conclusion, the author asks the question of the impact of software on qualitative research and brings some examples in this field. Autor se zabývá problémy výběru a užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Zmiňuje se o nadějích, obavách i nereálných představách spojených s novými technologiemi, probírá způsoby využití výpočetní techniky v kvalitativním výzkumu a důvody pro užívání počítačových programů pro analýzu kvalitativních dat. Uvádí typy počítačových programů(software) pro analýzu kvalitativních dat, včetně konkrétních příkladů. Shrnuje doporučení pro užívání počítačových programů v kvalitativním výzkumu. Závěrem klade otázku vlivu těchto programů na kvalitativní výzkum a uvádí některé příklady z této oblasti.

The amotivational syndrome and the description of the lifestyle of heavy cannabis drug users

The so-called "amotivational syndrome" in cannabis users is said to represent changes on behavioural level and in cognitive sytle as a result of long-term, heavy use of cannabis drugs. We give a brief overview of knowledge in the course of study of the amotivational syndrome. The aim of this conference paper is to present basic information about the procedures and methods used during our study on the heavy cannabis users and analysis of their life-style. The means that we do not focus primarily on the results of our study, but we only want to present one way of how to handle this phenomenon with the qualitative research methods. V odborné literatuře část autorů uvádí, že tzv. amotivační syndrom u uživatelů konopných drog reprezentuje kognitivně-behaviorální změny, které jsou výhradně důsledkem dlouhodobého, těžkého užívání konopných drog. V textu představíme krátký přehled poznatků z oblasti studia amotivačního syndromu, který ústí ve vzájemné porovnání diagnostických vodítek mezi amotivačním syndromem, depresí a tzv. prokrastinací. Záměrem tohoto příspěvku je podat základní informace o způsobu práce a metodách, kterých jsme užili v naší studii a analýze jejich životního stylu.
