Determination of heavy metals in solid energetic waste

Determination of heavy metals (Pb, Cu and Cd) in solid energetic waste (loge ash, ash, scoria) was performed according to Tessier. Extraction proceeded at temperatures of 25°C and 40°C and metals were determined using atomic absorption spectrometer (F AAS and ET AAS). Stanovení těžkých kovů (Pb, Cu a Cd) v pevných energetických odpadech (popílek, popel, škvára) pomocí Tessierovy extrakce na atomovém absorpčním spektrometru. Extrakce probíhaly při teplotách 25°C a 40°C.

Methodology describes a process of quantification of contribution of individual resources of air pollution caused by the particulate matter including resuspension on the basis of measurement of chemical composition of particulate matter and street dust using statistical methods and receptor modeling. Metodika popisuje postup pro kvantifikaci podílů jednotlivých zdrojů na znečištění ovzduší pevnými částicemi vč. resuspenze na základě měření chemického složení pevných částic a pouličního prachu s využitím statistických metod a receptorového modelování.

Contribution deals with comparison of concentrations of polyaromatic hydrocarbons, hopanes and steranes in Brno and Šlapanice at two seasons (winter and summer) and identification of emission sources of aerosols in these locations. V příspěvku jsou srovnávány hmotnostní koncentrace polyaromatických uhlovodíků, hopanů a steranů v Brně a Šlapanicích ve dvou ročních obdobích (zima a léto). Dále se příspěvek zabývá identifikací emisních zdrojů aerosolů na těchto dvou lokalitách.

Fe3+, Co2+, Cu2+ were selected as model metals. Popis semi-kontinuálního systému pro on-line detekci ve vodě rozpustné frakce kovů v atmosférickém aerosolu s časovým rozlišením 30 min. Chemiluminescent method of peroxyacetylnitrate detection in air using a CLAD and separation of interfering compounds (NO2, O3) provides fast, sensitive and specific determination of PAN with detection limit of 10 ppt and time resolution of 3 min. Chemiluminiscenční metoda detekce peroxyacetylnitrátu ve vzduchu použitím CLAD a separace interferujících polutantů (NO2, O3) umožňuje rychlé, citlivé a specifické stanovení PAN ve vzduchu s limitem detekce 10 ppt a časovým rozlišením 3 min.

This work compare PM1 and PM2,5 concentrations of levoglucosan, mannosan and galactosan in Brno (370 000 inhabitants) and Šlapanice (6 000 inhabitants) in winter and summer months. These compounds were analyzed by GCMS. V této práci jsou srovnávány koncentrace levoglukosanu, mannosanu a galaktosanu v aerosolové frakci PM1 a PM2,5 v Brně (370 000 obyvatel) a Šlapanicích (6 000 obyvatel) v zimních a letních měsících. Tyto tři sloučeniny byly analyzovány metodou GCMS.

The signal of Raman scattering in carotene solutions, enhanced on silver colloid particles was studied. The dependence of the enhancement factor on the concentration of silver particles demonstrates the potential of the method for biological applications. Byl studován signál Ramanova rozptylu v roztocích karotenu, zesílený na koloidních částicích stříbra. Závislost faktoru zesílení na koncentraci stříbrných částic ukazuje potenciál této metody pro biologické aplikace.
