The aim of this work focuses on part of stone industry, called ground stone industry, from excavated settlement mound in Central Turkey. It presents different types of this group of tools. Práce je zaměřena na tzv. ostatní kamennou industrii z naleziště ve středním Turecku. Představuje zejména jednotlivé typy této skupiny artefaktů.

The archaeological evidence for settlement activities of 14.-16. centuries. The Jesuit College was built since 1667. The courtyards were used as gardens and parks. The youngest evidence is connected with military barracks after 1773. Evidováno osídlení ze 14.-16. století. Jesuitská kolej byla stavěna po roce 1667, archeologický výzkum prokázal parkovou či zahradní úpravu nádvoří. Nejmladší archeologické situace jsou spojeny s existencí kasáren (po roce 1773)

Some spatial aspects of the ritual behaviour at the beginning of Bronze Age

In the paper is examined continuity and change in the spatial relationships of cemeteries and other activity areas at the beginning of Bronze Age in Bohemia and Moravia. In comparison to the Bell Beaker period, the burial rites of the early Bronze Age generally became less orthodox and more variable. In spite of certain specifics in the early Bronze Age ritual behaviour, we can suppose that the structure of the symbolic systems of Únětice burial practices was a result of a continuous development within the late Eneolithic cultural sequence and was evidence of progressive social differentiation in the Central European Bronze Age. Práce se zabývá kontinuitou a změnami prostorových vztahů mezi pohřebišti a ostatními areály aktivit na počátku doby bronzové v Čechách a na Moravě. V porovnání s předcházející kulturou se zvoncovitými poháry, se stává pohřební ritus únětické kultury na počátku doby bronzové méně ortodoxní a stává se více rozmanitý. I přes některé specifické znaky rituálního chování na počátku doby bronzové můžeme předpokládat, že struktura symbolických systémů spjatých s pohřbíváním v době trvání únětické kultury je výsledkem kontinuálního vývoje od eneolitu, a také postupující sociální diferenciace v době bronzové.

Conservation and restoration of a La Téne Period sword

The primary aim of this paper is to demonstrate an example of restoration of a La Téne Period sword. The secondary aim is to highlight the importance of firstly studying the artefact to determine the fabrication technology and also to examine the corrosion products strtigraphy so as to localise the original surface before commencing restoration. Finally, the benefits of collaboration between specialists to reveal the maximum archaeological information are explained in this sword restoration treatment. Základním cílem článku je ukázat příklad restaurování laténského meče. Druhým cílem je vyzdvihnout potřebu technologického průzkumu k určení výrobní technologie zbraně a také potřebu analýz statigrafie korozních produktů k lokalizaci původního povrchu před zahájením vlastní konzervace. V neposlední řadě je na příkladu restaurování tohoto meče vysvětlen přínos vzájemné spolupráce různých specialistů k maximálnímu vytěžení informací z archeologických předmětů.
