Long-term savings in Czech households.

2023 - Czech Long-term savings help to maintain a stable standard of living and well-being for people at different stages of their lives, or even to support a rising standard of living over time, even after the loss of income that can be expected, for example, in retirement. The main reasons for saving for the long term are to provide for retirement, invest in property or higher education, either for oneself or for one's children. The aim of this study is to identify the main factors that can influence long-term savings. \n\n Dlouhodobé úspory pomáhají udržovat stabilní standard a blahobyt lidí v různých fázích života či dokonce podporovat růst životní úrovně v čase, a to i po výpadku příjmů, který lze očekávat např. v důchodu. Hlavními důvody dlouhodobého spoření bývá právě zajištění na důchod, investice do nemovitosti či do vyššího vzdělání, ať už pro sebe, nebo pro své děti. Opportunities and limits of socially and environmentally sustainable participatory housing in the Czech Republic

2023 - Czech The research report summarises three years of research of opportunities and limits of participatory housing in the Czech Republic, based on an analysis of the situation abroad, the historical context and the institutional background in the Czech Republic. In the second part we present the results of field research - data analysis from research workshops in partner cities and from an exploratory questionnaire. We present findings on residents' preferences on participation issues, confidence in implementing participatory housing projects, funding issues, governance, barriers or challenges. In the final section, we summarise the opportunities and limitations for participatory housing arising from the cooperation between residents and cities. Výzkumná zpráva přináší shrnutí tříletého výzkumu o možnostech a limitech participativního bydlení v ČR. V první části představujeme konceptualizaci participativního bydlení vycházejí z analýzy zahraniční situace, historického kontextu a institucionálního zázemí v Česku. V druhé části přinášíme výsledky terénního výzkumu – analýzy dat z výzkumných workshopů v partnerských městech a také z explorativního dotazníku. Přinášíme zjištění ohledně preferencí obyvatel v otázkách participace, důvěry v realizaci projektů participativního bydlení, otázek financování, správy, překážek či výzev. V závěrečné části shrnujeme, jaké možnosti a limity participativního bydlení vyplývají ze spolupráce obyvatel s městy. Financial affordability of housing in Czech households

2023 - Czech Housing costs generally represent the most important item of household consumption expenditure. While the average European household spends 25% of its budget on housing, including energy and other payments, in 2021, the Czechs spend as much as 28%. Housing affordability is generally defined as the provision of a certain standard of housing at a price or rent that is considered a reasonable burden on households. If a household's share of housing costs is too high, this can have a negative impact on other household consumption as well as on living standards. The study assesses the burden of housing costs on Czech households using objective and subjective methods and identifies the main factors influencing the financial burden. Náklady na bydlení obecně představují nejvýznamnější položku spotřebních výdajů domácností. Zatímco průměrná evropská domácnost za bydlení včetně energií a dalších plateb utratila v roce 2021 25 % svého rozpočtu, v Česku to bylo dokonce 28 %. Finanční dostupností bydlení se zpravidla rozumí zajištění určitého standardu bydlení za cenu či nájemné, které je považováno za přiměřené zatížení domácností. Pokud má domácnost podíl výdajů na bydlení příliš vysoký, může to negativně ovlivňovat další spotřebu domácností a také jejich životní standard. Studie hodnotí zátěž českých domácností náklady na bydlení za použití objektivních a subjektivních metod a identifikuje hlavní faktory, které finanční zatížení ovlivňují.\n Keywords: Financial resilence; housing affordability Available at various institutes of the ASCR Financial affordability of housing in Czech households

Precarity as a real experience of the self-employed and micro-enterprises

2023 - Czech The research report summarises the results of the project's activities.Namely, four expert studies focusing on platform and family entrepreneurship, start-ups and coworking. The report includes findings from a quantitative survey of self-employed and micro-entrepreneurs (up to 10 employees) and a survey focused on business start-ups and new forms of entrepreneurship. It also presents findings from two qualitative research focusing on micro-entrepreneurs' strategies for securing themselves during periods of income loss from their business in times of sickness and on low-income self-employed and their strategies for sustaining their business, e.g. during a pandemic of covid 19. Together, the sections of the report thus form a complex mosaic that reflects the precarious specificities of the self-employed and micro-entrepreneurs and points to their impacts. Výzkumná zpráva shrnuje výsledky komplexních aktivit projektu. A to čtyř expertních studií, které se zaměřily na platformové a rodinné podnikání, začínající podniky a coworking. Součástí zprávy jsou závěry z kvantitativního výzkumu OSVČ a mikropodnikajících (do 10 zaměstanců/kyň) a sonda zacílená na začínající podnikatele a podnikatelky i nové formy podnikání. Dále jsou zde prezentovány závěry ze dvou kvalitativních sond zaměřených na strategie mikropodnikajících v oblasti zabezpečení se dobu výpadku příjmu z podnikání v době nemoci a na nízkopříjmové OSVČ a jejich strategie udržení podnikání např. v době pandemie covidu 19. Dohromady tak části zprávy tvoří komplexní mozaiku, která nejen reflektuje prekérní specifika osob samostatně výdělečně činných a mikropodnikajících, ale ukazuje také na jejich dopady.
