This study explains the basic aspects of permanent income hypothesis and the life cycle. It also contains two basic concepts of econometric modeling consumption function. Describes the main trends in consumer demand during the period. Tato studie objasňuje základní aspekty hypotézy permanentního důchodu a životního cyklu. Dále obsahuje dvě základní koncepce ekonometrického modelování spotřební funkce. Charakterizuje hlavní tendence ve vývoji spotřebitelské poptávky v daném období.

The stability of long-term demand for broadly defined money in an open economy

This paper strives to enlarge the traditional form of money demand for closed economy with some additional foreign or international determinants. These are, according to presented theory of currency substitution, nominal exchange rate CZK/DEM (or CZK/USD) and yield of foreign assets (3M LIBOR on DEM-assets and Treasury Bill yield) expressed in Czech Crowns. Such specified money demand was estimated using three cointegration methods namely JOH(1), JOH(2) and DOLS to attain sufficient robustness of estimated money demand function. Cílem této práce je rozířit specifikaci poptávky po penězích o některé determinanty relevantní pro formování vztahu v malé otevřené ekonomice. Jedná se zejména o zahrnutí veličiny odpovídající efektu měnové substituce, co může být v případě malé otevřené tranzitivní ekonomiky jeden z potenciálních zdrojů výkyvů v rychlosti oběhu peněz a druhým je vliv světových úrokových sazeb, resp. úrokového diferenciálu determinující příliv zejména krátkodobého kapitálu.

Zaměřuje se zejména na údaje 2. poloviny 90. let, včetně údajů dostupných za rok 2000.

Selected questions of monetary policy in the Czech Republic

This study deals with some issues of monetary policy in the period before the monetary shock after shock in connection with the entry into the European Monetary Union. There are discussed the causes of external imbalances, problems related to the election of a new monetary policy framework after leaving the fixed exchange rate, with the entry into the European Union. Tato studie se zabývá vybranými otázkami měnové politiky v období před měnovým otřesem, po otřesu a v souvislosti se vstupem do Evropské měnové unie. Jsou zde diskutovány příčiny vzniku vnější nerovnováhy, problémy spojené s volbou nového rámce měnové politiky po opuštění fixního kurzu, souvislosti se vstupem do Evropské unie.

The objective of this study is to describe selected microeconomic aspects of monetary policy transmission mechanism, operating in the lending channel through bond loans in the economy on interest rates. It focuses only on the area of corporate lending. Are analyzed, in particular concerning the transmission mechanism, which can not be detected analyzing aggregated data. Úkolem této studie je popsat vybrané mikroekonomické aspekty transmisního mechanismu měnové politiky, působící v úvěrovém kanále přes vazbu objemu úvěrů v ekonomice na úrokové sazby. Zaměřuje se pouze na oblast podnikových úvěrů. Jsou zde analyzovány zejména aspekty transmisního mechanismu, které nelze odhalit analýzou agregovaných údajů.

Estimation of potential output and the output gap in the Czech Republic

This study first describes two methods for estimating potential output and the resulting estimate of the output gap. It is a smoothing real GDP using the Hodrick-Prescott filter and use production function. V této studii jsou nejprve popsány dvě metody odhadu potenciálního produktu a z toho plynoucí odhad produkční mezery. Jedná se o vyhlazení reálného HDP pomocí Hodrick-Prescottova filtru a použití produkční funkce.

This paper seeks to show the development of demand penězívch in the Czech Republic in 1994-2000, and point out the influence of some factors that influenced its development. The paper briefly outlines some of the theoretical approaches to the examination of the demand for money, and includes data definition metologické analysis and econometric analysis of the problem. And in the final section evaluates previous econometric analyzes and summarizes the overall results. Tato práce se snaží ukázat vývoj poptávky po penězívch v ČR v letech 1994-2000 a poukázat na vliv některých faktorů, které na její vývoj působily. Práce stručně nastiňuje některé teoretické přístupy ke zkoumání poptávky po penězích, obsahuje datové a metologické vymezení analýzy a ekonometrickou analýzu problému. A v závěrečné části vyhodnocuje předchozí ekonometrické analýzy a stručně shrnuje celkové výsledky.

The influence of personal and financial costs to the business sector (initial study)

The thesis examines the structure behind the aggregated data and seeks an alternative measurement of the phenomenon of cost inflation. The intention is primarily an effort to formulate an alternative, in analytical practice so far not very commonly used methods, the relevance and practical application demanding econometric approach will increase with the length of available time series. Práce zkoumá strukturu skrývající se za agregovanými daty a usiluje o určité alternativní měření fenoménu nákladové inflace. Záměrem je především snaha o formulaci alternativní, v analytické praxi doposud nepříliš užívané metody, jejíž praktická relevance i uplatnění náročnějšího ekonometrického přístupu porostou s délkou dostupných časových řad.

The paper characterizes the main features of the czech macroeconomic development in the time period 1995:1 - 1999:3 stressing the decrease in nominal GDP growth especially in 1999. It discusses the analytical framework being able theoretically explain the Czech macroeconomic story. The dynamic model for an open economy with government sector has been constructed and several simulation exercises imitating Czech macroeconomic development have been made. Zpráva charakterizuje hlavní rysy českého makroekonomického vývoje v období 1995:1 - 1999:3 s důrazem na snížení nominálního růstu HDP zejména v roce 1999. Pojednává o analytickém rámci,aby umožnila teoreticky vysvětlit českou makroekonomiku. Byl zkonstruován dynamický model v otevřené ekonomice vládního sektoru a několik simulačních cvičení napodobujících český makroekonomický vývoj.
