The objectives of the present study were to establish valid assay conditions for measurement of the types 1, 2 and 3 iodothyronine deiodinases activities, and to use the radiometric enzyme assays especially to follow the effects of antidepressant drug fluoxetine (Prozac) on the metabolism of thyroid hormones in the rat Účelem předkládané práce bylo zjištění experimentálních podmínek a vypracování korektních metod pro radiometrická měření enzymových aktivit jodothyronin dejodas typu 1, 2 a 3. Specielně pak použití těchto vypracovaných metod pro sledování účinků antidepresiva fluoxetinu (Prozac) na metabolismus tyreoidálních hormonů u laboratorního potkana

Genotype and locality effect on growth and development of the root system of winter oilseed rape

The basic aim of presented work was analysis of root development of different oilseed rape cultivars at two localities. Obtained results show large influence of localities on the root development. The genotypes with good germination under unfavourable conditions (lack of water, drought, high temperature) develop stronger root system i.e. volume and length of the roots after sowing and during following vegetation period at studying localities Z dosud získaných výsledků vyplývá, že kromě lokality má na růst a vývoj kořenové soustavy vliv také odolnost odrůd vůči abiotickým stresorům v době klíčení.Genotypy, které jsou klasifikované jako odolnější vůči stresorům již při klíčení za nepříznivých podmínek ( nedostatek vody, sucho, vysoká teplota), mají i kvalitnější kořenový systém po vysetí a během následujícího vegetačního období na testovaných lokalitách

Solving image analysis problems by minimization of total variation

A solution of various problems in image analysis using concurrent minimization of total variation and Lp loss function is presented. The minimization is achieved by a steepest descend method using graph cut minimization in each step. Regularization of noisy image and registration of microscopic images of physical sections are demonstrated Práce je věnována řešení úloh analýzy obrazu minimalizací funkce složené z totální variace obrazu a Lp ztrátové funkce. Minimalizaci lze provést iterační metodou největšího spádu s výpočtem kroku založeným na nalezení minimálního řezu v grafu obrazových prvkù. Jako příklad je uvedena regularizace zašuměného obrazu a registrace mikroskopických obrazů fyzických řezů

Ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment is inherent both to natural and artificial "inteligent systems". Our paper presents comparison of spatial learning in the living being (rat) and artifitial object (autonomous mobile robot controled by evolutionary system) using a similarily defined task. Individual chapters are given on rat and robot learning Schopnost adaptivně reagovat na proměnlivé podmínky dynamicky se měnícího prostředí je vlastností, kterou nacházíme u přirozených i umělých "inteligentních systémů". Naše práce porovnává učení se živých (potkan) a neživých (autonomní mobilní robot řízený evolučním systémem) objektů ve stejném typu prostorových úloh. Výsledky získané "výcvikem" potkanů resp. robota budou pojednány ve zvláštních kapitolách
