Analýza bankovej regulácie Basel III vo vzťahu k bankovému sektoru v krajinách EÚ

This bachelor thesis describes the topic of banking regulation with emphasis on the most recent regulatory standard Basel 3. Planned outcome of this thesis is identification and evaluation of impact on European banking sector and also specifically on sectors of Czech Republic and Slovakia. The first thoretical part of this work simply explains basic principles and knowledge of overall regulation, organizational structure of European regulatory framework, shortcomings of Basel 2 and main focus is on Basel 3 and its three pillar structure. Second, more practical, part consists of analysis of impact studies issued by EBA and also national regulators (central banks) of both countries. Finally, according to available data coming from these documents, impact on banks is evaluated. Overall results show that Basel 3 has got positive impact on all analysed sectors. None of observed subjects shows problems with compliance with required criteria. Bakalářská práce rozebírá téma regulace bankovnictví se soustředěním na novodobý regulatorních standard Basel 3. Cílem práce je identifikace a rozbor dopadu těchto regulatorních pravidel na jednak bankovní sektor Evropské unie a také specificky na sektor České a Slovenské republiky. První teoretická část jednoduše vysvětluje základní principy a poznatky regulace obecně, uspořádání evropského právním rámcem, nedostatky Basel 2 a hlavně rámec Basel 3 samotný s ohledem na jeho tři hlavní pilíře. Druhá praktická část sestává z analýzy dopadových studií jednak evropské instituce EBA a také národních centrálních bank obou států. Na základě dostupných dat je vyhodnocen dopad na banky. Výsledné zjištění ukázala, že v celkovém měřítku má Basel 3 pozitivní dopad na všechny zhodnoceny sektory. Ani jeden z nich nevykazuje problémy při plnění požadovaných kritérií.

This bachelor thesis is about local taxes and its analyses in Slovakia, city of Zilina. After 2004, since more power to municipalities was conferred, the attention is focused on the trend of tax rate and the range of authority of tax administrator in the 10 years period. Tax incomes and the debt of the city, which are in certain correlation with tax rates, are analysed in dependence on this trend. Hence, bachelor thesis´ goal is defined by description and analyses of general statutes and their undoubtful connections with local politics execution through tax politics. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou místních daní na Slovensku ve městě Žilina. Po roce 2004, kdy byla obcím svěřena větší nezávislost, je pozornost zaměřena na vývoj sazeb a rozsah pravomocí správce daně v deseti ročním horizontu. V závislosti na tomto vývoji jsou analyzovány daňové příjmy a dluhy města, které jsou se sazbami v určité korelaci. Od toho se odvíjí i cíl práce, kterým je popis a analýza obecně závazných nařízení a jejich nepochybné propojení s prováděním místní politiky skrze daňovou politiku.

The aim of my bachelor's thesis is to define the basic terms of technical analysis, to create automated trading systems based on particular indicators and to analyze their profitability by testing on historical data. The subsequent comparison of systems' yields with government bond yield and systems' yields individually will determine their profitability and evaluate their use in trading the currency pair. I want to achieve this goal by explaining the basic concepts and methods of technical analysis in the theoretical part. In the practical part, automated trading systems will be set up on a trading platform and applied them to annual historical data. At last, I will make recommendations for the use of trading systems according to results. The main benefit of this work is to verify the profitability of automated trading systems and to assess whether they are suitable for real-time trading. Cílem mé práce je vymezit základní termíny technické analýzy, vytvořit automatické obchodní systémy založené na jednotlivých indikátorech a analyzovat jejich úspěšnost testováním na historických datech. Následnou komparací jejich výnosů s výnosem státního dluhopisu a výnosů obchodních systémů mezi sebou určit jejich ziskovost a zhodnotit jejich použití při obchodování měnového páru. Tento cíl chci dosáhnout pomocí vysvětlení základních pojmů a metod technické analýzy v teoretické části. V praktické části vytvořím automatické obchodní systémy na obchodní platformě založené na popsaných ukazatelích. Obchodní systémy aplikuji na roční historická data a z dosažených výsledků vytvořím doporučení pro použití systémů při obchodování. Hlavním přínosem této práce je ověření výnosnosti automatických obchodních systémů a zhodnocení, zda jsou vhodné pro obchodování v reálném čase.

Parametrický odhad modelu GARCH v prostredí MATLAB

Timely invariant variance is known not to be stylized fact of financial returns data. Motive of this bachelor thesis is to study financial data's typical variability of variance. In theoretical part, assumtions of GARCH models and its extensions, are summarized. GARCH family models' parameters are estimated, using maximum likelihood are estimated in empirical part. These models are estimated and evaluated across five assets, in which stock indicies DAX and SAP 500, FX major EURUSD and commodities natural gas and gold, are represented. In order to make assumptions about robabilistic distribution of data more realistic, not only Gaussian distribution, but also more leptokurtic Student's t-distribution is assumed to be present in data. Estimations are executed using software package MATLAB and EViews environment. For each asset, the best one of estimated GARCH models will be selected. Results suggest, that assumption of leptokurtic distribution generates models that describe volatility of studied assets better. Regarding testing for assymetric effects in volatility and estimation of EGARCH models, leverage effect of financial returns is shown to be present in returns of studied assets. Konstantnost rozptylu v čase, nepatří mezi charakteristické vlastnosti časových řad finančních výnosů. Motivem této práce je proměnlivost rozptylu výnosů v čase. V teoretické části jsou popsány teoretické základy modelů GARCH a jeho modifikací. V praktické části jsou na pěti aktivech odhadnuty, pomocí metody maximální věrohodnosti, parametry modelů z rodiny GARCH. Mezi aktivy jsou zastoupeny akciové indexy DAX a SAP 500, měnový pár EURUSD a komodity zemný plyn se zlatem. V zájmu zvýšení reálnosti předpokladů pravděpodobnostního rozdělení dat, je mimo základního předpokladu normality prováděn i odhad parametrů při předpokladu špičatějšího Studentova t-rozdělení.Pro každé sledované aktivum je zvolen nejvhodnější z odhadnutých modelů GARCH. Výsledky napovídají, že předpoklad špičatějšího rozdělení generuje modely které lépe popisují volatilitu výnosů sledovaných aktiv. V souvislosti s testováním asymetrických efektů volatility a odhadem EGARCH modelů se prokazuje, že pákový efekt je významnou charakteristikou sledovaných aktiv.

This bachelor thesis aims at acquainting with one of the most significant marketing phenomena in recent: marketing campaings cooperating with youtubers. Also describes when and for what types of products it is appropriate to use this type of campaigns. First part of thesis points to the uniqueness of the video comparing to other formats and highlites its benefits over other media, using the human perception concept and marketign succes as a point of view. YouTube is examined as a most important current video platform and it´s reach in the czech audience is compared to the reach of czech TV stations. Second part of the thesis describes and analyzes the most popular youtubers and their video poduction, target groups and also the chracteristics of brands, who can succesfuly cooperate with yotubers to reach their marketing aims and interfere the right people. At the same time, it analyzes the already implemented collaboration and the campaigns that youtubers participated in and evaluates it´s results. Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl přiblížit jeden z nejvýraznějších marketingových fenoménů poslední doby, tzv. youtubery. Objasňuje jejich využití pro marketingové účely a snaží se popsat, kdy a pro jaké produkty je spolupráce s nimi vhodná. V první části poukazuje na jedinečnost formátu videa jako takového, na jeho výhody oproti jiným médiím z pohledu lidského vnímaní, a na jeho úspěch v rámci marketingu. Také seznamuje s nejvýznamnější video platformou YouTube, jehož zásah v České republice zkoumá a porovnává ho s dosahem českých televizních stanic. Druhá část této práce si všímá nejpopulárnějších youtuberů, představuje formát jejich videí i jejich cílové skupiny a také vymezuje typ značky, pro které je marketingová spolupráce s nimi vhodná. Zároveň analyzuje už realizované spolupráce v podobě kampaní, na kterých se youtubeři podíleli, a vyhodnocuje dosažené výsledky.

The main focus of this thesis is to comprehensively describe the usage of project management and Public Relations (PR) methods during the medical conference Respiratory Forum 2016 organization. This thesis provides information about theoretical background of particular methodologies and their application during the organisation of this conference. Theoretical part of the thesis consists of analysis of the methodologies. Practical part involves application of these theoretical concepts. Using synthesis in conclusion part of my thesis I summarize final effects of this application. The aim of this thesis is to analyze project management and PR methods and processes and evaluate their application during the organisation of this event. The main asset of this thesis rests in evaluation of the synergistic effect of PR and project management methods during the organisation of the Respiratory Forum 2016 conferece. Práce je zaměřena na využití postupů projektového managementu a public relations (PR) při organizaci konference Respiratory Forum 2016. Tato problematika zahrnuje vymezení teorie jednotlivých přístupů k řízení projektů a následné zhodnocení jejich aplikace při přípravě tohoto odborného semináře. Při psaní teoretické části využívám metodu analýzy. V praktické části uplatňuji modely z teorie. V závěru použitím syntézy shrnuji výsledky jejich aplikace vzhledem ke stanovenému cíli. Cílem práce je prozkoumat procesy a metody projektového managementu a PR a zhodnotit jejich aplikaci na příkladu této konference. Přínos práce spočívá v posouzení synergického efektu využitých teoretických postupů projektového managementu a PR při organizaci odborné konference Respiratory Forum 2016.

Novinky v jazyku Java 9 a možnosti ich využitia pri vyučovaní programovania

Nowadays, there are a large number of programming languages with varying degrees of popularity among developers all over the world. Java is one of the leading programming languages, which has been developed for over 25 years and has been gradually adapted to modern programming techniques and new technologies in order to ensure its best usability by the developers. In July 2017, Oracle is to introduce the ninth version of the Java programming language, which represents a big step forward in terms of the design of programs by adding new language elements - modules. Other novelties in the language are, among others, the REPL tool jshell, the extension of the @Deprecated annotation, changes within Collections, and many others. The aim of this thesis is to describe the modularity from the theoretical point of view according to the principles on which it is based and its particular implementation in the language and to propose examples for teaching the use of modules in the Java Programming course at the University of Economics. Also, the aim of this thesis is to describe other novelties in the language which are also useful to include in lessons at the University. The benefits of this thesis will be therefore particular examples and procedures for teaching them, which will be possible - after the official release of Java 9 - to include in the lessons and to familiarize students with these new elements of the language. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to a brief presentation of this programming language and the development of its platform during its previous versions. This chapter also contains an extract from the language features published on the OpenJDK website. The second chapter presents the principles and the theoretical basis of modular programming, its implementation in Java 9, and three exercises gradually introducing the use of modularity at different proposed stages of practicing them at seminars. The last chapter briefly presents certain other novelties which are to appear in the language. V současnosti existuje velké množství programovacích jazyků s různými stupni popularity mezi vývojáři ve světě. Jedním z popředních programovacích jazyků je jazyk Java, který se již přes 25 let vyvíjí a postupně se přizpůsobuje novodobým technikám programování a novým technologiím, aby vývojářům zaručil nejlepší použitelnost. Společnost Oracle má v červenci 2017 představit devátou verzi programovacího jazyka Java, který zaznamenává velký krok kupředu z hlediska návrhu programů přidáním nových jazykových prvků - modulů. Dalšími novinkami v jazyce jsou mezi jinými REPL nástroj jshell, rozšíření anotace @Deprecated, změny v rámci Collections a mnoho jiných. Cílem této práce je popsat modularitu z teoretického hlediska podle principů, o které se opírá a její konkrétní implementaci v jazyce a navrhnout příklady na vyučování použití modulů pro kurz Programování v Javě na Vysoké škole ekonomické. Stejně je cílem této práce popsat i jiné novinky v jazyce, které je taktéž účelné zařadit do vyučování na škole. Přínosy této práce budou tedy konkrétní příklady a postupy jejich vyučování, které bude možné po oficiálním vydání Javy 9 do vyučování zařadit a seznámit studenty s těmito novými prvky jazyka. Práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. První kapitola se věnuje stručnému představení tohoto programovacího jazyka a vývoji jeho platformy během předešlých verzí. Tato kapitola také obsahuje výtah z novinek podle stránky OpenJDK. Následující kapitola představuje principy a teoretický základ modulárního programování, jeho řešení v Javě 9 a tři příklady postupně představující používání modularity v různých stádiích jejich navrhovaného probírání na cvičení. Poslední kapitola stručně představuje některé z dalších novinek, které mají být v jazyce objevit.

The aim of the bachelor thesis "Financial analysis of the company" is a report of the financial health of the company Banskobystrický pivovar a.s. for the period from 2009 to 2015. Mainly publicly available documents were used. The theoretical part of the thesis contains basic theoretical definitions of the issues that are necessary for the financial analysis. In this part, we also describe the individual indicators and methods we encounter in the financial analysis. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis, which focuses on the use of specific financial instruments, there is a horizontal and vertical analysis, the calculation of the proportional indicators as well as the prediction methods such as credit and bankruptcy models that serve to forecast the development of financial health to the future. Cílem bakalářské práce "Finanční analýza podniku" je posouzení finančního zdraví společnosti Banskobystrický pivovar a.s. za období 2009 až 2015. Pro rozbor a následné vyhodnocení byly použity veřejně dostupné dokumenty. Teoretická část práce obsahuje základní vymezení problematiky, které je potřebné pro provedení finanční analýzy. V této části jsou také popsány jednotlivé ukazatele a metody se kterými se při finanční analýze setkáváme. V praktické části práce, která je zaměřena na využití konkrétních nástrojů pro daný podnik, je vypracována horizontální a vertikální analýza, počítání poměrových ukazatelů a také predikční metody jako bonitní a bankrotní modely, které slouží k předvídání vývoje podniku do budoucna.

Analýza českého futbalu z obsahu sociálnych sietí

The main aim of this report is to analyse the Czech football scene using the unstructured data from ever evolving social media platform Facebook. The objectives are to identify key concepts using the Czech football social community, dis-covering the most popular club, understanding the buzz and reactions on independent sport portals and identifying the relation between social sentiment and the actual football club performance. These objectives are met using defined methods including collection, analysis and evaluation of the data, applying the key data metrics and relevant literature research, as well as graphical visualisation of the results. This report consists of five chapters split into theoretical and practical part. The first three chapters, the theoretical part, are focusing on the explanation of the social media in general, using the literature research and online analytical tools, and introduction of the Czech foot-ball scene from both commercial and marketing standpoint. The last chapter describes the methods applied and outlines the data architecture used for the analysis. The practical part includes a definition of the key metrics that are initially defined as business assumptions and consequently applied and transformed into the basis of this analysis. The last chapter of the practical part forms the actual data analysis and its evaluation as well as visualisation of the partial results. The main purpose of this report is to demonstrate the benefits of analysing unstructured data from social media platforms that can be connected and downloaded using the tools such as Elasticsearch and Kibana, that enable to discover, filter and visualise the data. Gaining an insight into social media and visualisation of the data is also beneficial to spon-sors and football clubs as it can maximise the power of their marketing as well as enable them to understand the reputation and consumer perception. Práce se zabývá analýzou nestrukturovaných dat na sociální síti Facebook, což je neustále rozvíjející se oblast. Zdrojem dat je český fotbalový trh. Cíle práce obsahují definování pojmů z oblasti analýzy dat na sociálních sítích a české fotbalové komunity, nalezení nejoblíbenějšího klubu, zjištění reakce na kluby na nezávislých sportovních portálech a nalezení závislosti mezi sentimentem a aktuálními výsledky klubu. K dosažení cílů jsou definovány metody, kterými jsou výběr, sběr dat a jejich následná analýza, definice metrik datové analýzy, rešerše literatury související s danou problematikou, vizualizací výsledků analýzy. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část a tyto části jsou strukturovány do pěti kapitol. Do teoretické části spadají tři kapitoly, a to konkrétně úvod do analýzy sociálních sítí, která se zabývá rešerší literatury z oblasti analýzy dat na sociálních sítích a ukázkou online analytických nástrojů, představení českého fotbalu, kde je definovaný sport z obchodní a marketingové oblasti a představen český fotbalový trh a poslední kapitolou v této části je postup stahování dat a jejich analýzy, která popisuje výběr zdrojů k analýze a popisuje architekturu a nástroje použité k analýze. Praktická část se skládá z definice metrik, které jsou nejprve definovány jako byznys otázky, a ty aby mohly sloužit k analýze jsou transformovány na otázky analytické. Poslední kapitolou je samotná analýza dat a vyhodnocení, vizualizace dílčích výsledků. Hlavním přínosem práce je ukázka možnosti analýzy nestrukturovaných dat ze sociálních sítí pomocí konektoru na stahování dat z Facebooku a nástrojů Elasticsearch a Kibana, který umožňuje data zobrazovat, filtrovat a vizualizovat. Práce nese přínos i ve výsledcích analýzy pro sponzory, respektive samotné kluby, kde mohou zjistit úroveň svého marketingu, nebo jako je jejich klub vnímán zvenčí.

This bachelor thesis adresses the topic of malware, a malicious software on the internet. Theoretical part is divided into several chapters, describing malware, its risks and prevention. In the first chapter, reader learns the definition of malware, its distribution and the history until presence. Content of another chapter will include anticipation of development and impact on society. At the end of the teoretical part, risks and threats, prevention and protection will be described. Anti-malware programs will be also described. Part of the practical part is the analysis of the actual malware behaviour applied to the PC. It deals with the construction, functionality and lifecycle of malware. Goal of this bachelor thesis is to familiarize readers with the ambush that arise during carelessness and inadequate protection during the use of the internet. At the same time, reader will learn in the practical part about how malware works and how to proceed with its removal. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou Malware, tedy škodlivého softwaru na internetu. Teoretická část je rozdělena do několika kapitol, které popisují Malware, jeho rizika a prevenci. V úvodní kapitole se čtenář dozví definici Malware, jeho rozdělení a historii až po současnost. Obsahem další bude předpoklad vývoje a dopad na společnost. V závěru teoretické části budou popsány rizika a hrozby, prevence a ochrana před nimi. Rovněž budou popsány programy sloužící k ochraně proti Malware. Součástí praktické části je analýza chování skutečného malwaru aplikovaného na PC. Zabývá se stavbou, funkcionalitou a životním cyklem malwaru. Smyslem této práce je seznámit čtenáře s nástrahami, které vznikají při neopatrnosti a nedostatečné ochraně během používání internetu. Zároveň se čtenář v praktické části dozví, jak malware funguje, a jak postupovat při jeho odstranění.
