Possibilities of using sewage sludge as a secondary source of phosphorus in the Czech Republic.

A result of the project Possibilities of using sewage sludge as a secondary source of phosphorus in the Czech Republic is a comprehensive study mapping not only the phosphorus content but also the degree of contamination of sewage sludge from various types of wastewater treatment plants in the Czech Republic. This study represents a basis for planning site-specific strategies for the use of phosphorus from sewage sludge in the Czech Republic. Six basic steps led to the elaboration of the study: analysis of the WWTP network in the Czech Republic (1), repeated sampling, analysis of sludge and evaluation of sludge properties of sludges collected from selected facilities representing typical representatives of the nature of source areas and wastewater treatment and sludge treatment technologies (2), legislative analysis of the future of sewage sludge management (3), tests of thermal treatment of sludge and their evaluation (4), search of available technological solutions for sludge treatment (5) and proposal of the concept of sludge treatment in the Czech Republic (6). V rámci projektu Možnosti využití čistírenských kalů jako sekundárního zdroje fosforu v ČR byla zpracována ucelená studie mapující nejen obsah fosforu ale i míru kontaminace v kalech z typově různých zařízení na čištění odpadních vod v ČR. Tato studie představuje odborný základ pro plánování lokálně specifických strategií využití fosforu z čistírenských kalů v ČR. Ke zpracování studie vedlo šest základních kroků, a to: analýza sítě ČOV v ČR (1), opakované odběry, analýzy kalů a zhodnocení vlastností kalů z vybraných zařízení představujících typické zástupce z pohledu charakteru zdrojových oblastí i použitých technologií čištění odpadních vod a úpravy kalu (2), legislativní rozbor budoucnosti nakládání s čistírenskými kaly (3), zkoušky termického zpracování kalů a jejich vyhodnocení (4), rešerše dostupných technologických řešení pro nakládání s kaly (5) a návrh koncepce zacházení s kaly v ČR (6). It was designed by SMS CZ demonstration unit for which basic functional tests have been performed. Operational data and protocols from the basic unit testing are presented. Small modifications of heat exchanger have been proposed. It is expected to propose fuel dosage control with regard to operator level and operation conditions. Na základě primárních testů na VŠB byla zkonstruována společností SMS CZ s.r.o. demonstrační jednotka, u které byly provedeny základní funkční zkoušky. Jsou prezentovány provozní data a protokoly z průběhu základního testování mobilní jednotky. Byly navrženy malé úpravy výměníku tepla. Synthesis and Functionalization of Phenacenes Containing δ-Lactam Ring.

This work is aimed at the development of a new efficient methodology towards the synthesis of various aza[5]phenacenes containing δ-lactam ring in their structure. Possibilities of their functionalization or derivatization are also discussed, along with complexation properties of suitable aza-derivatives as ligands in transition-metal complexes. The resulting compounds are investigated in terms of their material properties, especially for the formation of thin film structures capable of an efficient semi-conductivity or their potential application as photoluminescent complexes in OLEDs. Laboratory Separation of Methanol from the Azeotropic Mixture (25 wt% Methanol and 75 wt% trimethylborate.

The work deals with laboratory separation of methanol from the azeotropic mixture (25 wt% methanol and 75 wt% trimethylborate). Four different manufactured membranes were tested. For all except one separation, separation was more or less successful. With PVA 4155-80 / 2871 the separation proceeded with good results, but very slowly, a condition that could increase the reaction rate could be an increase of temperature. Most selective membrane from Sulzer was PDMS 4155 -30/305 R, which separated MeOH with high efficiency and fast enough. The completely opposite effect than pervious membranes had the membrane PDMS 4060, which instead of MeOH separated Trimethylborate. Práce se zabývá laboratorní separací methanolu z azeotropické směsi (25 wt% methanol a 75 wt% trimethylborát). Byly testovány 4 různé průmyslově vyráběné membrány. U všech kromě jedné separace probíhala více méně úspěšně. U PVA 4155-80/2871 separace probíhala s dobrými výsledky, ale velice pomalu, podmínkou, která by mohla zvýšit rychlost reakce by mohlo být zvýšení teploty. Nejlépe z membrán od společnosti Sulzer dělila PDMS 4155 -30/305 R, která separovala MeOH s vysokou účinností a také dostatečně rychle. Naprosto opačný efekt pak měla membrána PDMS 4060, která místo MeOH separovala Trimethylborát. Keywords: methanol; separation; membranes Available at various institutes of the ASCR
