Attitudes of the Czech Public towards The Committee of Good Will – Olga Havel Foundation

2020 - Czech The final report is the output of the research regarding Attitudes of the Czech public towards the Committee of Good Will - Olga Havel Foundation. The report presents the results of representative research, the target group of which was the population of the Czech Republic ages 15 and older. Data was collected between 29 February to 11 March 2020 through the personal questioning of respondents (a combination of CAPI and PAPI) based on a standardised questionnaire. A total of 1,012 respondents were questioned, and these individuals were selected using a quota method according to region, the size of place of residence, gender, age and education. Závěrečná zpráva je výstupem výzkumu Postoje české veřejnosti k Výboru dobré vůle – Nadaci Olgy Havlové. Zpráva zpracovává výsledky reprezentativního výzkumu, jehož cílovou skupinou byla populace obyvatel ČR starších 15 let. Sběr dat proběhl v termínu od 29. února do 11. března 2020 metodou osobního dotazování tazatele s respondentem – kombinace CAPI a PAPI – na základě standardizovaného dotazníku. Celkem bylo dotázáno 1 012 respondentů vybraných kvótní metodou podle kraje, velikosti místa bydliště, pohlaví, věku a vzdělání. Obsahuje popis teoretických a metodologických základů, proces vývoje, metodologická a technická pravidla pro provádění dotazníkového šetření a managementu dat, pravidla pro implementaci výsledků do webových aplikací a jejich použití. \nAktualizace pro rok 2020 na základě empirického ověření specifikuje možnost a pravidla přechodu sběru dat z dosavadního f2f (PAPI) na CAWI (resp. School as an Integration Partner. Interim research report.

2020 - Czech The interim research report is a summary of the findings of the School as an Integration Partner project, which deals with the integration of migrant background pupils (non-native language speakers) in Prague's primary schools. The first part of the report deals with the analysis of available statistical data, analysis of previous research and other sources of information on pupils with migrant background. The second part summarizes the findings from an extensive research at primary schools in Prague conducted within the project in the school year 2019-2020 and focused on the situation of pupils with insufficient knowledge of Czech as a language of instruction. The research focused on finding out the number of these pupils at individual primary schools in Prague including the estimation of their language skills. The research also focused on the use of individual support measures by schools, on financing support of migrant background pupils and on the existence of teachers specialized in teaching Czech as a foreign language. Průběžná výzkumná zpráva je shrnutím dosavadních poznatků projektu Škola jako integrační partner, který se zabývá integrací žáků s odlišným mateřským jazykem (OMJ) na pražských základních školách. První část zprávy se věnuje analýze dostupných statistických dat, analýze předchozích výzkumů a dalších zdrojů informací o žácích s OMJ jako např. výročních zpráv škol. Druhá část shrnuje poznatky z rozsáhlého výzkumu na základních školách v Praze ve školním roce 2019-2020 zjišťujícího situaci žáků s nedostatečnou znalostí češtiny jako vyučovacího jazyka. Výzkum se zaměřil na zjištění počtu těchto žáků na jednotlivých základních školách v Praze s rozlišením podle jejich jazykové úrovně, na využití jednotlivých podpůrných opatření ze strany škol, na financování podpory žáků s OMJ a na existenci učitelů specializovaných na výuku češtiny jako druhého jazyka na základních školách. The analysis of physiological and social risks of COVID-19 disease

2020 - Czech The report brings results of the survey exploring the level of collective immunity against the virus SARS-CoV-2. The survey took place in May 2020. The study demonstrated a low prevalence of antibodies against the virus. Besides collecting blood samples, test subjects were asked to fill in a questionnaire about the willingness to follow the epidemiological recommendations. The survey demonstrated that individuals belonging to the risk groups (in terms of chronic diseases) do not use more protective measure than people without any risk comorbidity. The protective behavior was linked mainly to age and sex. The willingness to follow the recommendations was also significantly influenced by the type of media that the respondent uses as a source of information (those drawing information from internet showed significantly lower willingness to follow the recommendations). Výzkumná zpráva přináší přehled výsledků výzkumu kolektivní imunity české populace, který se uskutečnil v květnu 2020. Tato studie kolektivní imunity prokázala nízkou úroveň protilátkové pozitivity v první vlně epidemie onemocnění covid-19 na jaře 2020. Doprovodný dotazník zjišťující mimo jiné využívání preventivních opatření či odhadované riziko nákazy ukázal, že osoby v rizikových skupinách se nechrání častěji než osoby bez chronických onemocnění. Mezi hlavní faktory ovlivňující to, do jaké míry se daný jedinec chrání před nákazou, patří, pohlaví, případně zdroj informací (získávání informací z internetu snižuje ochotu se řídit epidemiologickými doporučeními). An evaluation of a questionnaire investigating the Czech volunteers writing to the prisoners is reported. The main topic of the report is the intersection of such activity with religion and faith. Further, the report informs about motivations of the volunteers and aims to sketch a profile of the volunteer writing to prisoners. \n\n Průběžná zpráva je druhým výstupem z projektu "Role církví a význam religiozity v následné péči o propuštěné vězně" realizovaného v rámci post-doktorandské podpory Akademie věd ČR. Zpráva se zabývá vyhodnocením dotazníku určeného dobrovolníkům, kteří si v České republice dopisují s vězni. Hlavním tématem je vztah tohoto typu dobrovolnictví k religiozitě a víře. Zpráva dále pojednává o motivacích k této činnosti a usiluje o vykreslení profilu dobrovolníka dopisujícího si s vězni. 2019 - Czech The report is a first outcome of the project “Role of Churches and the Importance of Religiosity in the Re-entry Care in the Czech Republic” supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences. It is an explorative study in the Czech Republic as it deals with understudied theme of competences of prison chaplains and volunteers within the re-entry care. The aim of the phase is to identify the limits and problematic aspects of such engagement and also to emphasize the effective approaches and positive outcomes. One of the goals is also to define the identity of chaplains and volunteers within the Czech prison system. \n\n Průběžná zpráva je prvním výstupem z projektu „Role církví a význam religiozity v následné péči o propuštěné vězně“ realizovaného v rámci post-doktorandské podpory Akademie věd ČR. V českém prostředí se jedná o explorativní studii, která se zabývá dosud nedostatečně prozkoumanou problematikou, a to možnostmi a kompetencemi vězeňských kaplanů a dobrovolníků v rámci postpenitenciární péče. Cílem této fáze projektu je identifikovat překážky a problematické aspekty této angažovanosti, ale rovněž zdůraznit osvědčené přístupy a pozitivní výstupy. Jedním z dílčích cílů je mezi jinými vyhodnocení identity kaplanů a dobrovolníků v českém vězeňském systému. 2019 - Czech This is a report from qualitative research focused on innovation and innovation environment in the Czech Republic. This analysis shows that the innovation environment in the Czech Republic is greatly influenced by the setting of financing of innovation (from public and private financial sources), but also by setting the processes of innovation in companies. Research has also shown that in the Czech Republic is not set a strong cooperation between the private and academic sectors, compared to the European standard. Then the research also shown that there is a lack of legislative or financial support for the transfer of scientific knowledge into practice. Jedná o výzkumnou zprávu z kvalitativného výzkumu zaměřeného na inovace a inovační prostředí v ČR. Analýza ukazuje, že inovační prostředí v ČR značně ovlivňuje otázka nastavení financování nápadů (z veřejných i soukromých finančních zdrojů), ale také nastavení procesů inovativnosti ve firmách. Výzkum dále ukázal, že oproti evorpskému standardu je v ČR velmi slabá spolupráce mezi soukromým a akademickým sektorem, a že není dostatečně nastavena legislativní či finanční podpora přenosu vědekých poznatků do praxe.
