Inorganic wastes like raw material for geopolymer binders
Hanzlíček, Tomáš; Perná, Ivana
2010 - Czech
Great amount of industry wastes lead to the technology which are able to use waste materials as additives to different types of matter or convert industry waste materials to the new basic material. Velké množství průmyslových odpadů vede k rozvoji technologií, které jsou schopné buď odpady využít jako plniva do jiných hmot, nebo mohou průmyslové odpady přímo konvertovat na nový základní materiál. Keywords: waste materials; raw materials; geopolymer Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Optimizing and Evaluating the Biocompatibility of Fiber Composites with CaP Additives
Suchý, Tomáš; Sucharda, Zbyněk; Balík, Karel; Sochor, M.; Bačáková, Lucie
2010 - English
Composite materials based on a polyamide fabric (aramid) and a polydymethyl-siloxane (PDMS) matrix were designed for application in bone surgery. In order to increase the bioactivity, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 vol. % of nano/micro hydroxyapatite (HA) and tricalcium phosphate (TCP) were added. The effect of the additives on the biocompatibility was studied. It appears that nano additives have a more favorable effect than micro particles on mechanical properties. For final application of the composites as substitutes for bone tissues, 15 vol. % of nano hydroxyapatite additives is an optimum amount: in this case both the mechanical properties and the biological properties are optimized without distinct changes in the inner structure of the composite. Keywords: biocomposites; calcium phosphate; polyamide fibers; polydimethylsiloxane Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Rybář, Jan; Klimeš, Jan
2009 - Czech
The influence of structural conditions on slope stability in the Western Carpathians flysh region was described and assessed using results of systematic engineering-geological mapping. S využitím výsledků systematického inženýrskogeologického mapování svahových deformací v měřítku 1 : 10 000 je na vybraných příkladech analyzován vliv strukturně geologických poměrů na stabilitu svahů v regiónu flyše Západních Karpat. Indirect stress measurement by static vertical pendulum
Kalenda, Pavel; Neumann, L.; Wandrol, I.
2009 - English
Static pendulums were used for indirect stress measurement in Bohemian Massif. The anomalous tilt and/or noise were recognised before the biggest earthquakes on the Euroasian lithospheric plate. The Kurile EQ (24.11.2008) was predicted a day advance. Keywords: stress; earthquake; pendulum Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Developments strenght attained of the system metakaolinite – podium aluminite - quartz
Hájek, Pavel; Koloušek, D.; Andertová, J.
2009 - Czech
/: Geopolymer reactions have much in common with diagenetic transformations of the sedimentary rocks. Inside of laboratory conditions occur of geopolymer masses in alkali reaction of metakaolinite to sodium aluminate (Fastex 81) and quartz. As a result reaction is rise the zeolite phase (zeolite A) inside of relevant substance. The zeolite phase, temperature dressing materials and hydrothermal exposition influence developments strength. Results reaction were confirmed by means of X – ray diffractometry and SEM. Zeolitová fáze, tepelná úprava materiálu a hydrotermální expozice ovlivňuje trendy pevnosti. Výsledky reakce byli potvrzeny pomocí XRD a SEM. Keywords: geopolymer reactions; alkali reaction Available at various institutes of the ASCR

Havelcová, Martina; Sýkorová, Ivana; Klika, Z.; Trejtnarová, Hana; Fojtíková, M.
2009 - Czech
GC/MS and Py-GC/MS techniques were used to provide information on set of samples from three waste piles localities in Czech Republic. Substituted and unsubstituted phenantrenes and other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were comprised in sample extracts. The results were correlated with petrographic composition.
