2023 - Czech The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of biological samples with the intention of describing morphological features for species classification. As part of the collaboration, chemical preparation of the samples was carried out, followed by observation of the bodies of the nematodes themselves in different positions so that individual morphological characters could be distinguished using an electron microscope. Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza biologických vzorků se záměrem popsat morfologické znaky pro druhovou klasifikaci. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena chemická příprava vzorků, následovalo pozorování těl samotných hlístic v různých pozicích tak, aby bylo možné rozlišit jednotlivé morfologické znaky pomocí elektronového mikroskopu. SMV-2023-57: EM analysis of microorganisms II

2023 - Czech The aim of the contract research was the expert analysis of microbiological samples with biotechnological significance with the intention of describing the ultrastructure of the cells, which depends on the cultivation conditions of the industrial process. The collaboration included cryogenic preparation of samples, followed by microbial microscopy using low-temperature electron microscopy (cryo-SEM), and selected samples were processed for transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Furthermore, spectroscopic measurements were performed using Raman spectroscopy. Cílem smluvního výzkumu byla odborná analýza mikrobiologických vzorků s biotechnologickým významem se záměrem popsat ultrastrukturu buněk, která se odvíjí od kultivačních podmínek průmyslového procesu. Součástí spolupráce byla provedena kryogenní příprava vzorků, následovalo mikrobů pomocí elektronového mikroskopu za nízkých teplot (cryo-SEM), vybrané vzorky byly zpracovány i pro transmisní elektronovou mikroskopii (TEM). Dále byla provedena spektroskopická měření pomocí Ramanovy spektroskopie. Middle-level control of FB-MMC converter in Delta connection

2023 - Czech Control of a modular multilevel converter (MMC) is technically far more complicated than control of a standard 2-level converter. It is not only because of a great number of series-connected cells. For a MMC converter we need to cope with another control level (mentioned here as the middle-level control), which means balancing of voltages among MMC branches and the control of currents circulating inside this converter. For the Delta connected MMC with full H–bridge (FH) cells a convenient method for voltage balancing among all three MMC branches has been analysed and the appropriate control structure has been designed. Then the functionality of this balancing method has been verified using computer simulations and also tested with two MMC physical models operating as active power filters on 400V and 6kV grids. Regulace modulárního vícehladinového měniče (Modular Multilevel Converter, MMC) je technicky podstatně komplikovanější, než měniče klasického, a to nejen kvůli velkému počtu jednotlivých buněk. Na rozdíl od klasického měniče se zde musíme zabývat další úrovní řízení, která představuje balancování napětí mezi větvemi měniče a řízení kruhových proudů uvnitř měniče. Ve zprávě je analyzována vhodná metoda a navržena regulační struktura pro balancování napětí mezi všemi třemi větvemi MMC v zapojení do trojúhelníku (Delta) s buňkami typu úplného můstku (Full H-bridge, FB). Následně byla ověřována činnost tohoto balancování pomocí počítačových simulací a praktických zkoušek na dvou fyzikálních modelech MMC pro sítě 400V a 6kV s implementovanou funkcí aktivního filtru. Optimization of inline coagulation in integrated membrane systems

2023 - Czech The report summarizes the results of chemical coagulation and electrocoagulation optimisation tests as integrated membrane filtration methods. Optimization tests were performed with filtered water after alkalinisation using jar tests, based on which optimal reaction conditions such as the dose of the coagulation agent and the pH value were found. In addition to removing the non-coagulated portion of dissolved organic substances using electrocoagulation, the conditions for eliminating manganese were also tested. Zpráva shrnuje výsledky optimalizačních testů chemické koagulace a elektrokoagulace jako doprovodné metody k membránové filtraci. Optimalizační testy byly provedeny s filtrovanou vodou po alkalizaci pomocí koagulačních (sklenicových) zkoušek, na jejichž základě byly nalezeny optimální reakční podmínky (dávka koagulačního činidla a hodnota pH). Vedle odstraňování nezkoagulovaného podílu rozpuštěných organických látek pomocí elektrokoagulace byly testovány i podmínky eliminace manganu. 2023 - Czech The contractual research was oriented towards the development of optical frequency references intended for the frequency stabilisation of ultra-compact laser sources. These optical references were based on absorption cells filled with ultra-pure absorption gases and they allow precise locking of the lasers with the methods of laser spectroscopy. The cells will serve as the references of optical frequencies in systems of primary length standards (633 nm wavelength). Smluvní výzkum byl zaměřen na vývoj referencí optických kmitočtů pro frekvenční stabilizaci kompaktních laserových zdrojů. Tyto optické reference jsou založena na bázi absorpčních kyvet plněných čistými plyny a dovolují stabilizaci laserových zdrojů pomocí metod laserové spektroskopie. Kyvety jsou určené k použití jako reference optických kmitočtů pro laserové normály pracující v pásmu vlnových délek 633 nm.
