The publication is based on materials from the conference “La Tène period in Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia” held on 11-13 June 2014 in Klement-Oberleis, Austria. For the most part, the studies published here are revised texts of the lectures given at the conference and bring a comprehensive overview of actual archaeological and numismatic research within the topic of the Celtic development in the Central European Region. For many diverse scientific questions, readers will find relevant studies in the present proceedings, which contains a total of 18 studies by authors from Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia.

The Gravettian along the Danube

The volume includes contributions presented at an international conference, resuming the newly accumulated evidence on prehistory of the Danube river about 30 - 20 thousands years ago. General papers on Gravettian chronology and dating are followed by regional contributions ordered from the west to the east: south Germany, Austria, Moravia, Poland, Slovakia, and the Balkans. The concluding papers focus on interregional comparisons (Italy), technology and cultural contexts. Tento svazek zahrnuje příspěvky přednesené na mezinárodní konferenci, soustřeďující nově získané poznatky o prehistorii Podunají před 30 – 20 tisíci lety. Obecné referáty o periodizaci a datování gravettienu následují regionální příspěvky, řazené od západu k východu: jižní Německo, Rakousko, Morava, Polsko, Slovensko a Balkán. Závěrečné referáty se zaměřují na interregionální srovnání (Itálie), technologii a kulturní kontext.
