Final report from the mapping of the weatherfish (Misgurnus fossilis) in the NPP Žehuňský rybník and its surroundings.

The report evaluates the results of a survey focused on weatherfish in the NPP Žehuňský rybník and the surrounding area. During the survey, a large population of weatherfish was found in the tributary part of the pond and the adjacent pool. This finding is essential for future revitalization planning and also significantly expands current knowledge of species distribution. Based on the results of the survey, the local population is one of the most important in the Central Bohemian Region. Zpráva hodnotí výsledku průzkumu zaměřeného na piskoře pruhovaného v NPP Žehuňský rybník a blízkém okolí. V průběhu průzkumu byla zjištěna početná populace piskoře v přítokové části rybníku a přilehlé tůni. Toto zjištění je zásadní pro plánování revitalizačních prací v budoucnu a také významně rozšiřuje aktuální znalost rozšíření druhu. Místní populace patří na základě výsledků průzkumu mezi nejvýznamnější ve Středočeském kraji.

The report describes the results of an ichthyofauna survey in two areas of the Šumava National Park, where catches were made by an electric generator in the spring of 2021. This is the first direct evidence of natural reproduction of brown trout in the parts previously heavily affected by acidification. Zpráva popisuje výsledky průzkumu ichtyofauny ve dvou oblastech Národního parku Šumava, kde byly provedeny odlovy elektrickým agregátem na jaře 2021. Jedná se o první přímý důkaz přirozené reprodukce pstruha obecného v části dříve silně zasažené acidifikací.

The report summarizes information on overwintering, fecundity, flight activity and developmental rate of bark beetles infesting Scots pines in Central Bohemia, Vysočina and South Moravia. The occurrence of pseudogamous reproduction in the sharp-dentated bark beetle, Ips acuminatus, was studied in detail. Zpráva shrnuje informace o přezimování, plodnosti, letové aktivitě a rychlosti vývoje několika druhů kůrovcovitých na borovici lesní na lokalitách ve středních Čechách, na Vysočině a na jižní Moravě. U lýkožrouta vrcholkového, Ips acuminatus, byla podrobně studována četnost pseudogamního rozmnožování na výše zmíněných lokalitách.

Complex survey of the fish stock of Lake Most in 2020.

Aim of the complex ichthyological survey of Lake Most was to map the current state and succession of lake’s fish stock with particular emphasis put on abundance and biomass estimates of all fish species, evaluation of possible risks to the further development of the fish stock and recommendations for the lake management. Summarization of achieved results and recommendations for further monitoring are included in the presented report. Cílem ichtyologického průzkumu jezera Most bylo zmapování stavu a vývoje rybí obsádky, přičemž důraz byl kladen zejména na odhad početnosti a biomasy jednotlivých druhů ryb, na odhad rizik dalšího vývoje rybí obsádky a doporučení dalšího obhospodařování jezera. Sumarizace dosažených výsledků a návrh doporučení pro další sledování jsou obsahem předkládané zprávy.
