HIV/AIDS in Central Asia: comparative analysis of the space-time diffusion of HIV

This thesis deals with the development of HIV/AIDS in Central Asia since the collapse of the Soviet Union to the present. The first part explores the characteristics of cenral Asia region and understanding of historical, political and cultural context. The thesis presents an analytical overview of the evolution of HIV infection in the countries of Central Asia and with the use of graphical outputs illustrates the changes of the space-time diffusion. On the basic of the presented, the results show a new perspective of HIV/AIDS spreading in this region. With the use of professional studies, risk groups are described as well as the factors, which central Asian epidemic is fueled by. An important part of the thesis is thorough research of areas, that are at most risk in terms of HIV/AIDS in Central Asia. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem epidemie HIV/AIDS v zemích střední Asie od doby rozpadu Sovětského svazu po současnost. Úvodní část práce je věnována charakteristice středoasijského regionu a porozumění historickým, politickým a kulturním souvislostem. Práce předkládá analytický přehled o vývoji nákazy HIV v zemích střední Asie a s využitím grafických výstupů dokládá změny v prostorovém a časovém šíření. Na základě předložených výsledků vzniká nový pohled na problematiku HIV/AIDS v daném regionu. S využitím odborných studií jsou popisovány ohrožené rizikové skupiny a faktory, jimiž je poháněna středoasijská epidemie. Důležitou součástí je také podrobný výzkum oblastí, které jsou ve střední Asii nákazou HIV/AIDS nejvíce ohroženy.

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of humans on the river system and its impacts on runoff in river basins in Bystřice and Teplá Bystřice. This work summarizes the most important anthropogenic interventions in the landscape in these river basins, which were implemented both in the past and currently. The runoff process in the European watershed modifications affect the watercourses at different levels. The main human activities in those areas are establishing ponds, creating an artificial flume, building water and sewerage networks. The paper also discusses the issue of the Czech-Bavarian border state in connection with the watercourse of Teplá Bystřice. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem člověka na říční síť a jeho negativními dopady na odtok v povodích Bystřice a Teplé Bystřice. Práce shrnuje nejvýznamnější antropogenní zásahy v krajině u těchto povodí, které byly jak v minulosti, tak i v současnosti provedeny. Odtokový proces na evropském rozvodí ovlivňují úpravy na vodních tocích v různých úrovních. Mezi hlavní činnosti člověka v těchto povodích patří zakládání rybníků, vytvoření umělého náhonu, budování vodovodních a kanalizačních sítí. V práci je také diskutována otázka státní hranice, která má vliv na vodní tok Teplé Bystřice.

The thesis work concerns timespace analysis of nuptality and divorce rates in the Czech Republic between the years 2004 - 2013. Using crude rates, marriage and divorce rates are analyzed in terms of administrative districts of municipalities with wider activity, also in counties and the country as a whole. In this thesis, with the help of some statistical methods, the state of referred phenomenas are researched over time. Using correlational analysis the relationship between the value of nuptality and divorce rates are found out with certain demographic and economical indexes. Timespace analysis of nuptality and divorce rates of countries in the European Union (between the years 2004 - 2012) are included as well as value comparisons with the Czech Republic. Práce se zabývá časoprostorovou analýzou sňatečnosti a rozvodovosti České republiky v letech 2004 2013. Pomocí hrubých měr je sňatečnost a rozvodovost analyzována v rámci správních obvodů obcí s rozšířenou působností, krajů i republiky jako celku. V práci jsou pomocí některých statistických metod zkoumány stavy uvedených jevů v průběhu času. Pomocí korelační analýzy je zjišťována závislost mezi hodnotou sňatečnosti a rozvodovosti a některými demografickými a ekonomickými ukazateli. Součástí práce je též časoprostorová analýza sňatečnosti a rozvodovosti států Evropské unie v letech 2004 2012 a porovnání s hodnotami České republiky.

Influence of physical geographic conditions on flood risk in the upper basin of the Radbuza river

The written bachelor´s work deals with influence of physical geographic conditions on flood risk in the upper basin of the Radbuza river. It is divided into three parts. The first is about floods, which happened in area of interest. The finding of causal meteorological situation was made and these causal situations were connected with every flood. Single physical geographic conditions are introduced in the second part. Author dealt with influence of basin´s area, basin´s shape, average height of basin and average slope of slopes in basin. He assessed land cover and influence of single types of soil too. The third part is about human´s modifications of chosen river. Author made his own mapping in the nature, which is analysed here in GIS software. The results are visualized in maps. Zpracovaná bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem fyzickogeografických faktorů na povodňové riziko v povodí horní Radbuzy. Je rozdělena do tří částí. V první se hodnotí samotné povodně a přiřazuje se k nim příčinná meteorologická situace. Ve druhé jsou uvedeny jednotlivé fyzickogeografické faktory a jejich zastoupení v jednotkových povodích. Autor se zde zabýval vlivem plochy povodí, charakteristiky tvaru povodí, průměrnou výškou a průměrným sklonem svahů v povodí. Posuzoval také krajinný pokryv a vliv jednotlivých typů půd. Třetí část je o antropogenní upravenosti vybraných toků. Autor provedl vlastní terénní mapování, které je zde analyzováno v softwaru GIS. Výsledky jsou vizualizované v mapách.

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the environmental history of the Sulkov locality since the 19th century. This bachelor thesis deals with the historical development of the Sulkov locality. Spatial landscape development of this locality has been observed since the beginning of the 19th century, over period of the dynamic growth of the Industrial Revolution in the second half of the 19th century, until the present day. There are described the changes and their influences to the landscape and local inhabitants during these periods. There are also described land use changes and anthropogenic landforms. Tématem této bakalářské práce je environmentální historie lokality Sulkov od 19. století. Je zde vytvořen chronologický přehled jednotlivých fází vývoje lokality Sulkov a jsou stanoveny příčiny a dopady využití tohoto území v jednotlivých fázích. Sledovány jsou také změny land use/land cover a změny antropogenního reliéfu.

Changes in the catchment area of Kateřinský brook and possibilities of its application in practical teaching of geography

The guide for geography fieldwork for secondary schools was created in the catchment of Kateřinský stream. A walk with ten study spots leads students through the border area of Bohemian Forest in the Special Area of Conservation. The aim of the fieldwork is direct observation of the activity of European beaver and simultaneously the opportunity to observe the landscape that was densely inhabited since 16th century and abandoned in the second half of 20th century. Students compare historical and recent maps and aerial photos and evaluate landscape. As evaluation of acquired knowledge the worksheet was created. Příručka terénní výuky geografie pro střední školy byla vytvořena v povodí Kateřinského potoka. Procházka s deseti zastávkami provede studenty pohraniční oblastí Českého lesa v Evropsky významné lokalitě. Cílem práce v terénu je přímé pozorování činnosti bobra evropského a zároveň možnost pozorovat krajinu, která byla hustě obydlená od 16. století a opuštěné v druhé polovině dvacátého století. Studenti porovnají historické a aktuální mapy a letecké snímky a ohodnotí krajinu. Pro hodnocení získaných znalostí byl vytvořen pracovní list.

Sediment dynamics in beaver activity affected segment of Kateřinský potok

The aim of the work was to examine the sediment dynamics in the segment of the Kateřinský stream influenced by beaver activity. Monitoring was later limited to the segment of the Mrtvý stream area where it was possible to monitor the changes in the flow caused by the influence of European Beaver and carry out partial research from April 2014 to June 2015. Beaver dams were found mainly in the section of Mrtvý stream up to 1 kilometre air distance (1230 m on the water bed) from the confluence with Kateřinský stream. Their number was changing during the course of time, and at each measurement approximately 22 dams were recorded of various length, height, age and functionality. Beaver population was active in all seasons, at every measurement new wood cutting were noticed for building or repairing the existing dams or for food provision.
The results of sediment analysis were compared to the measurements on the Kateřinský stream as well as with measurements published in articles in foreign journals.
In the period preceding the field measurements foreign literature was studied dealing with the given topic.
In the surroundings of the Mrtvý stream active population of European beaver can be found and retaining and embedding of sediments occur. As a result the stream bed is filled with sediments (mainly in the sections above beaver dams), spillways and passage ways change, which causes certain bank erosion and changes in sediment dynamics. Cílem práce bylo zkoumání dynamiky sedimentů v bobří aktivitou ovlivněném segmentu Kateřinského potoka. Monitoring se později zúžil na segment Mrtvého potoka, kde bylo možné sledovat změny charakteru toku vlivem působení bobra evropského a provádět dílčí výzkumy od dubna roku 2014 do června roku 2015. Bobří hráze se nacházely převážně na úseku Mrtvého potoka do 1 km vzdušnou čarou (1 230 m po vodním toku) od soutoku s Kateřinským potokem. Jejich počet se v průběhu času měnil, při každém měření bylo zaznamenáno přibližně 22 hrází různých délek, výšek, stáří a funkčnosti. Bobří populace byla aktivní ve všech ročních obdobích, při každém měření byly zaregistrovány nové okusy dřeva pro tvorbu či opravu stávajících hrází, nebo na potravu.
Výsledky sedimentologické analýzy byly porovnány s měřením na Kateřinském potoce i s měřeními publikovanými v podobě zahraničních odborných článků.
V období bezprostředně před zahájením terénního měření byla studována cizojazyčná literatura s danou problematikou.
V okolí Mrtvého potoka se vyskytuje aktivní populace bobra evropského a dochází k zadržování a usazování sedimentů. Důsledkem toho se plní koryto toku sedimenty (převážně v úsecích nad bobřími hrázemi), dochází k vylévání toku z koryta a jejímu následnému vracení zpět, přičemž jistou měrou dochází k erozi břehu a ovlivnění dynamiky sedimentů.

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of German writen publicistic texts focused on the problematic of doping in sport. For this purpose there were chosen some texts which were analysed from the linguistic and content aspect. There is a summary and comparision of all these texts and I was looking for the general attitude to this problematic from German authors. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou německy psaných publicistických textů zaměřených na problematiku sportovního dopingu. Za tímto účelem bylo vybráno několik textů, které byly analyzovány po obsahové a jazykové stránce. V závěru práce se nalézá porovnání všech textů a hledání celkového přístupu německých autorů k dané problematice.
