Linear, subjective and metaphysical, which permeates and templates the work of Ivan Pinkava and the sculptor Elias Dolejší. The Burning Through exhibition, which features the work of both artists mostly over the last three years, is not chronologically but meaningfully described. It will start on Tuesday, April 10, at 5 pm and you will be able to see it in the Ostrava House of Art until June 10. Mládí, dospívání, stáří, smrt, mýtus i rituál. Společnou veličinou těchto pojmů je právě čas. Lineární, subjektivní i metafyzický, který prostupuje a tematizuje tvorbu fotografa Ivana Pinkavy i sochaře Eliáše Dolejšího. Výstava Napřed uhořet / Burning Through, která představuje tvorbu obou umělců převážně z posledních tří let, není řazena chronologicky, ale významově. Zahájena bude v úterý 10. dubna v 17 hodin a v ostravském Domě umění si ji můžete prohlédnout do 10. června. 2018 - Czech What can a joint sports championship and art gallery have? Exhibition! At the initiative of the IAAF Continental Cup at the Ostrava 2018 athletics, the art project Kdo je vítězem, which was prepared by Curator Yvon Ferencová, was created at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava. The exhibition project, which presents 26 well-known contemporary artists, does not want to introduce artworks primarily depicting sporting competitions; on the contrary, it offers space to different genres and media, and invites associations to other areas as well. Císařovský, Korpaczewski, Nikitin, Kovanda, Mančuška, Šerý or Vaněk ... An unconventional exhibition will be on display in the Art House in Ostrava from June 20 to September 9. Co může mít společného sportovní šampionát a umělecká galerie? Výstavu! Na podnět IAAF Kontinentálního poháru v atletice Ostrava 2018 vznikl v Galerii výtvarného umění v Ostravě umělecký projekt Kdo je vítězem?, který na míru ostravskému Domu umění připravila kurátorka Yvona Ferencová. Výstavní projekt, který prezentuje 26 známých současných výtvarníků, nechce představit umělecká díla primárně zobrazující sportovní klání, naopak nabízí prostor různým žánrům i médiím a vybízí k asociacím i v jiných oblastech. 2018 - Czech The Ostrava Museum Night will take place on Saturday, June 9th, for the tenth time. From five o'clock to midnight, Ostrava will revive a cultural festival that extends awareness of cultural life in the city. This year, 36 institutions will present their facilities, and entry is no longer the case. As part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the Republic, the festival will revive the ride of veterans and velocipedists, as well as the cabaret and swing program. It will be launched by discharging the balloons in the tricolor color. From 17.30 they will be given free of charge in front of the New Town Hall in Ostrava. Ostravská muzejní noc se v sobotu 9. června uskuteční již po desáté. Od pěti hodin do půlnoci oživí Ostravu kulturní festival, který rozšiřuje povědomí o kulturním životě ve městě. V letošním roce představí své zázemí 36 institucí a vstup se nikde neplatí. V rámci oslav stého výročí republiky festival oživí jízdy veteránů a velocipedistů, ale i kabaretní a swingový program. Zahajovat se bude vypouštěním balonků v barvě trikolory. Už od 17.30 je budou před budovou Nové radnice v Ostravě rozdávat zdarma. After the exhibition Vlastislav Hofman / Tribute to Invention, he focuses on a wide range of styles, techniques and authors. Everyone will come to theirs. At a joint opening on Thursday, January 25, at 5 pm, the gallery will open exhibitions to introduce the Baroque painting and graphics, the Republican, abstract and contemporary art to the public. The exhibitions will be on display in the Art House of Ostrava until Sunday, March 25th. Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO) zahajuje hned čtyři výstavní projekty najednou. Po výstavě Vlastislav Hofman / Pocta invenci se zaměřuje na pestrou škálu stylů, technik i autorů. Na své si přijdou všichni. 2018 - Czech The exhibition of Vlastislav Hofman (1884-1964) / Tribute to the invention, which the famous stage designer and architect presented as a universally recognized personality with invention, ended in Ostrava. She saw over twelve thousand visitors. Part of the exposed exhibits will return to Austria and Canada this week. The rest of the borrowed works of art will be returned in the coming weeks. Výstava Vlastislava Hofmana (1884–1964) / Pocta invenci, která známého scénografa a architekta prezentovala jako všestranně uznávanou osobnost s invencí, v Ostravě skončila. Vidělo ji přes dvanáct tisíc návštěvníků. Část vystavených exponátů se už v tomto týdnu vrací do Rakouska a Kanady. Zbylá část zapůjčených uměleckých děl bude vrácena v následujících týdnech.
