Newly discovered preserved potash-making workshops in the Czech Republic

2014 - Czech The article briefly describes the technology of production of potash in the early modern times. The basic typology of production facilities (potash-making workshops), which were built in the village envinment, is introduced as well. The main emphasis is given on the introduction of two newly identified workshops - in Zlatá Koruna near Český Krumlov and in Kolinec in the Klatovy region. Článek stručně popisuje technologii výroby potaše v raném novověku a je v něm představena základní typologie výrobních objektů (drasláren), které byly budovány na vesnici. Hlavní důraz je kladen na představení dvou nově identifikovaných dílen - ve Zlaté Koruně u Českého Krumlova a v Kolinci na Klatovsku. The utilization of data on immigrant families for the purpose of assessment of potential demands on social system related to family reunification

2014 - Czech The methodology investigates prerequisites and proposes methods of utilization of data on immigrant families for the purpose of assessment of social and economic demands of migration and integration. The family perspective enables to analyse some aspects which can’t be taken into account if only individual data on foreigners are considered. This covers entries such as: size of the family, number of children living either in the Czech Republic and/or abroad (both dependent children and children with their own incomes), economic activity and incomes of the family unit, proportion of social allowances in total income etc.). This promotes better understanding to recent trends and allows appropriate adaptation of social infrastructure (in the area of labour market, educational institutions, health system, social security, cultural programmes etc.). Methodology pursuits some similar aims and further develops preceding methodology for the Constitution of the Information System on Immigrant Families from the Third Countries. Metodika mapuje předpoklady a navrhuje postupy pro práci s poznatky o rodinách imigrantů při hodnocení sociálních a ekonomických dopadů migrace a integrace rodin na fungování státu a potenciálních nároků migrace rodin na sociální systémy. Vyhodnocování dopadů migrace a integrace na sociální systémy z rodinné perspektivy umožňuje věnovat pozornost skutečnostem, které nelze dostatečně reflektovat pouze při využití individuálních údajů (např. velikost rodin, počet zaopatřených a nezaopatřených dětí v rodinách žijících v ČR a v jiných zemích, ekonomická aktivita a příjmová situace rodinné jednotky, využívání dávkových systémů ze systému sociálního zabezpečení apod.). S využitím poznatků o rodinách cizinců může sociální infrastruktura společnosti (trh práce, vzdělávací instituce, zdravotnictví, sociální zabezpečení, kultura apod.) lépe reagovat na stávající trendy. Metodika sleduje některé podobné cíle a v některých ohledech navazuje na metodiku pro tvorbu informačního systému o rodinách imigrantů. Unreliable recorders. Collectors of folk songs as inventors of tradition

2014 - Czech From the end of the 18th century folk music increasingly came to be an object of interest among collectors and researchers. The development of folksong collecting raised questions overthe authenticity and credibility of the recordings.During the 19th century collectors applied various measures to form an image of folk music culture, which was always to some extent an invention and a fiction, whether it involved the alteration of song lyrics to achieve a more acceptable form by omitting vulgar expressions, or the deletion from the repertoire of entire items which the collectors did not deem suitable for inclusion. Authors of important collections such as František Ladislav Čelakovský and Karel Jaromír Erben often altered the recorded material to make it fit their ideas of correct national culture. Folksong acquired a special role in the disputes over the authenticity of the Dvůr Králové and Zelená Hora manuscripts. Collector František Bartoš and historian František Dvorský, each in their own way, used folk songs as an argument in favour of the view that the manuscripts were authentic. Od konce 18. století se lidová hudba stále častěji stávala předmětem zájmu sběratelů a badatelů. Rozvoj sběru lidových písní přinesl otázku autenticity a věrohodnosti záznamů. V průběhu 19. století používali sběratelé různé přístupy k vytváření obrazu lidové kultury, jenž byl vždy do jisté míry umělým výtvorem a fikcí, ať již šlo o úpravy písňových textů v zájmu jejich menší vulgárnosti či vyřazování těch položek, které sběratelé nepovažovali za vhodné. Autoři významných sbírek jako František Ladislav Čelakovský a Karel Jaromír Erben často zaznamenaný materiál upravovali, aby vyhovoval jejich představám té pravé národní kultury. Lidové písně získaly zvláštní postavení v průběhu sporů o pravost rukopisů královédvorského a zelenohorského. Sběratel František Bartoš a historik František Dvorský použili, každý svým způsobem, lidové písně jako argument pro podporu pravosti rukopisů. 2014 - Czech To create a solid immigration policy that will promote integration and social cohesion immigrants, we need information about the composition and functioning of immigrant families. For this purpose should serve an information system on families of immigrants from third countries from which it would be possible to derive ideas about future societal needs and investments associated with immigration to the Czech Republic. Information system should facilitate the collection of data on the structure of families of immigrants, their place of residence and their needs. This information is very important in the development and implementation of national integration policy reflecting the capacity of social infrastructure (labour market, institutions for vocational training, primary, secondary and tertiary education, healthcare, social security, culture, etc.). K tvorbě fundované imigrační politiky, která bude podporovat integraci imigrantů a sociální kohezi, je třeba informací o skladbě a fungování imigrantských rodin. Tomuto účelu by měl sloužit informační systém o rodinách imigrantů ze třetích zemí, ze kterého by bylo možno odvozovat představy o budoucích společenských potřebách a investicích spojených s imigrací do České republiky. Informační systém by měl usnadnit získávání dat o struktuře rodin imigrantů, místu jejich pobytu a jejich potřebách. Tyto informace jsou velmi významné při tvorbě a implementaci státní integrační politiky reflektující kapacitu sociální infrastruktury (trhu práce, institucí pro přípravu na povolání, základního, středního i vysokého školství, zdravotnictví, sociálního zabezpečení, kultury apod.).
