2008 - anglický Tématem bakalářské práce je {\clqq}Využití styčných bodů kultury a historie Česka a anglickojazyčného světa v oblasti cestovního ruchu (se zvláštním zřetelem k možnostem Jihočeského kraje)``. Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá styčnými body kultury a historie Česka a anglickojazyčných zemí a uvádí stručný výčet osobností, které takové styčné body mohou představovat. Následuje úvaha o významu cestovního ruchu pro národní hospodářství i pro ekonomiku Jihočeského kraje a rešerše nejznámějších průvodců po České republice. V další kapitole jsou uvedeny vybrané subregiony Jihočeského kraje, které mají vazby na anglickojazyčný svět. V poslední kapitole uvádíme vybraná místa v Jihočeském kraji jako doporučenou nabídku pro určité skupiny návštěvníků i jako možnou formu využití např. v rámci webové prezentace. The subject of the paper is the Czech cultural landscapes and icons perceived as bearing national/cultural significance to English-speaking nations: the tourism industry perspectives (with a special regard to the South Bohemia region). The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter presents certain ties between culture and history of the Czech lands and the English-speaking countries and briefly lists those individuals in history and/or culture who could be considered as such ties, followed by reflections on the importance of tourism for the national economy and the economy of the South Bohemia region. It includes also the results of research performed in guidebooks in relation to the cultural landscapes and icons perceived as bearing national/cultural significance to English-speaking nations. The next chapter describes some sub-regions of South Bohemia that feature cultural or historical ties between the Czech lands and the English-speaking countries. 2014 - anglický Tato práce se soustředí na detektivní povídky Edgara Allana Poea, v nichž vystupuje postava detektiva Dupina. Nejprve nastiňuje vývoj žánru od nejstarších dob po současnost, poté se blíže zabývá klíčovými rysy detektivnho příběhu tak, jak se objevují v povídkách 'Vraždy v ulici Morgue', 'Záhada Marie Rogetové' a 'Odcizený dopis'. K tomu využívá i srovnání s některými pozdějšími autory detektivní literatury. Následně krátce představuje román Friedricha Dürrenmatta coby kritickou reakci na některé rysy žánru. This thesis focuses on detective stories by Edgar Allan Poe featuring the detective Dupin. It first delineates the development of the genre from early epics to contemporary authors, then takes a closer look at the key features of a detective story as they appear in the short stories 'The Murders in the Rue Morgue', 'The Mystery of Marie Roget' and 'The Purloined Letter'. It also compares these short stories with the works of some later authors of detective fiction. Finally, it presents a novel by Friedrich Dürrenmatt as a critical response to certain features of the genre. IrAM4: Partial characterisation of a molecule similar to \recke{alpha}\dindex{2}-macroglobulin from a tick \kur{Ixodes ricinus}

2011 - anglický Ixodes ricinus is a hard tick that can transmit several diseases that are capable of affecting humans. Among those are tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease. The focus of this work is on IrAM4, a member of tick ?2-macroglobulin family (?2M-F) of proteins which belong to the evolutionarily oldest constituents of the innate immune system. ?2-macroglobulins are protease inhibitors and act primarily in inactivation of proteases secreted by invading pathogens within their infection cycle. The aim of this study was to identify ?2-M of Ixodes ricinus (IrAM4) from corresponding ortholog of protein ?2-M named IsAM4 present in the genome of closely related Ixodes scapularis. The partial sequence was determined by amplification of cDNA and subsequent sequencing of PCR products. RT-PCR tissue profiling revealed that IrAM4 is present in ovaries and salivary glands but not in the tick gut. The recombinant fragment of IrAM4 was afterwards prepared for immunization of a rabbit and the obtained polyclonal antibodies were used for Western blot analysis. The results showed that IrAM4 is mainly present in the hemolymph and probably in salivary glands and ovaries but it is not expressed in the gut. The native IrAM4 seems to be composed of two disulfide bound subunits. However, the exact structure of the molecule was not analyzed in this work. 2008 - anglický Práce je zpracována teoreticky. V první kapitole je popsán historický pohled na ženu, druhá kapitola definuje poruchy příjmu potravy a mentální anorexii. Třetí kapitola se snaží objasnit příčiny mentální anorexie a dispozice k ní. Čtvrtá se zabývá projevy mentální anorexie, jak somatickými, tak psychickými. Poslední kapitola se věnuje léčbě mentální anorexie. Je zde popsána jak léčba tělesných, tak léčba psychických následků a metod, které psychoterapie používá. The work has only theoretical part. It starts with the description of historical attitudes towards women, then it characterises anorexia nervosa and eating disorders. 2018 - anglický Cílem bakalářské práce bylo analyzovat různé způsoby chovu prasat v subtropických oblastech Afriky. Prasata jsou jedním z nejproduktivnějších a rychle rostoucích hospodářských zvířat, která mohou přeměnit zbytky potravin na cenné produkty. Chovají se především pro produkci masa a tuku, ale využívají se i v dalších sektorech (kosmetický průmysl, farmaceutický průmysl, zdravotnictví atd.) a mohou se chovat také v alternativních systémech chovu. Bakalářská práce analyzuje reprodukční a produkční vlastnosti prasat a zmiňuje faktory, které užitkové vlastnosti prasat ovlivňují. Jsou v ní také popsány nemoci prasat, které významně ovlivňují užitkovost zvířat, a tím ekonomiku jejich produkce. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to analyse the different types of pig breeding used in the subtropical regions of Africa. Pigs have been described as one of the most prolific and fast growing livestock that can convert food waste to valuable products. Pigs are commonly kept for meat and fat, but also different sectors such as cosmetics industry, pharmaceutical industry, medical sector and so many other purposes. The thesis further on analyses the reproductive and productive traits of pigs. Finally the thesis takes a look at some factors that affect breeding and productivity of pigs. 2018 - anglický Práce se bude v perspektivě ekokritického čtení zabývat drobnějšími literárními útvary amerického prozaika Johna Steinbecka (Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row, The Wayward Bus) a pokusí se o definici prostředí Steinbeckovy prózy, jeho vnímání prostředí a popisu krajiny včetně charakteristiky postav, které přírodním podmínkám čelí a krajinu Steinbeckovy literární Kalifornie obývají. V úvodní části se práce teoreticky zaměří na problematiku ekokritiky jako současného literárního přístupu k prostředí a krajině románů. Jádrem práce bude aplikace ekokritických teoretických východisek na tvorbu Johna Steinbecka, především na jeho vnímání prostoru, přírody a krajiny. Součástí práce bude kapitola zpracovávající Steinbeckovu biografii a jeho spjatost a přírodou a krajinou západního pobřeží USA. In the perspective of ecocritical reading, the work will deal with the minor literary forms of the American prose writer John Steinbeck (Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row, The Wayward Bus) and will attempt to define the environment of Steinbeck's prose, his perceptions of the environment and landscape descriptions, including the description of the characters facing the natural conditions within the landscape of Steinbeck's literary California. In the introductory part the thesis will theoretically focus on the issue of ecocriticism as a contemporary literary approach to the environment and the landscape of analyzed novels. At the core of the work will be the application of ecocritical theoretical bases for John Steinbeck's work, primarily on his perception of space, nature and landscape. Part of the work will be a chapter dealing with Steinbeck's biography and his relationship with the nature and landscape of the West Coast of the United States.
