2016 - anglický Tématem této bakalářské práce je literární analýza tří románů amerických židovských spisovatelů Chaima Potoka, Philipa Rotha a Isaaca Bashevise Singera a pohled těchto autorů na vznik a vývoj židovského státu Izrael. Úvodní teoretická část definuje základní pojmy a historické události nezbytné pro další postup.V následující části je každému autorovi věnována jedna kapitola, přičemž po krátkém úvodu následuje analýza jednotlivých děl, jejich jazykových prostředků a přístupu jednotlivých postav k danému tématu.Závěrečná čast se pokouší porovnat společné a rozdílné prvky románů a definovat jejich vliv na čtenáře. Každý román se odehrává v jiném období, poukazují tedy na proměnu veřejného mínění a pohledu na Izrael jako takový. The topic of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of novels of three Jewish American authors Chaim Potok, Philip Roth and Isaac Bashevis Singer and their respective approach to the establishment and development of the State of Israel. The theoretical part of the thesis considers the historical events and summarizes basic terms necessary for further research. In the following part the novels are analyzed in terms of their devices and the various perspectives of Israel provided by the protagonists. The final part of the thesis attempts to compare the novels in terms of common and individual features and their respective impact on the reader. As each of the novels covers a different period, they are eventually used to demonstrate how the public approach to the State of Israel has changed over time. Land Abandonment in the Mediterranean Effects on Butterfly Communities with Respect to Life History Traits

2016 - anglický This thesis deals with the effects of changing land use, following landscape abandonment, on butterfly communities in the Mediterranean Basin. It consists of three case studies. The first focuses on the effects of forest encroachment on butterflies in the Southern Balkans; the second studies butterfly communities in Portuguese 'montados' and the third explores demography and life histories of three co-occurring Papilionidae butterfly species (Archon apollinus, Zerynthia polyxena and Zerynthia cerisy) in Greek Thrace. The results describe shifts in butterfly communities, detectable even at the level of individual species life history traits, with increasing forest encroachment. The preference of range-restricted Mediterranean endemics for either grasslands or open woodland formations contributes to falsifying the forested Mediterranean hypothesis, favouring a hypothesis of finely grained landscape mosaic instead. This mosaic is currently threatened by land use change and biodiversity homogenisation. Maintaining habitat and landscape heterogeneity is crucial for conserving the Mediterranean biodiversity hot-spot. Inovativní metody v chovu a reprodukci candáta obecného (Sander lucioperca)

2016 - anglický Celou disertační práci dohromady tvoří 10 kapitol, které jsou popsány na 146 stranách. Kapitoly 2-9 jsou specifickými částmi této práce a popisují praktické aspekty reprodukční biologie a chovu candáta. V kapitole 2 je popsán vliv různě dlouhé chladové periody na kvalitativní a kvantitativní ukazatele spermatu candáta. Tyto výsledky mohou zásadně napomoci k optimalizaci managementu generačních mlíčáků candáta za účelem získání co možná nejkvalitnějšího spermatu v průběhu sezonního i mimosezonního výtěru. V kapitole 3 jsou popsány výhody hormonálního ošetření obou pohlaví při poloumělém výtěru candáta pro efektivní produkci larev. V kapitole 4 je popsáno použití roztoku alkalázi pro eliminaci lepivosti jiker candáta. Kapitola 5 popisuje vliv přezrání jiker candáta na životaschopnost a oplození schopnost jiker, výskyt deformací a ploidních anomálií u larev candáta. V kapitole 6 jsou prezentovány výsledky první úspěšné triploidizace candáta za použití teplotního šoku a produkce kompletně triploidní populace candáta. Kapitola 7 popisuje vliv ošetření vodní hladiny na přežití, naplnění plynového měchýře a růst larev candáta s cílem optimalizovat jejich intenzivní chov. Kapitoly 8 a 9 popisují metody chovu a adaptace juvenilních candátů v kombinaci rybniční a intenzivní akvakultury či intenzivní a rybniční akvakultury jakožto nové a efektivní metody produkce candátů pro jejich následný odchov. V této disertační práci jsou celkem diskutovány čtyři odborné články, jedna metodika, jeden článek akceptovaný k publikování a dva manuskripty připravené k publikování. The whole Ph.D. thesis includes in total 10 chapters on 146 pages. Chapter 2 9 are specific parts of thesis where following scientific and practical aspects of pikeperch reproduction biology and aquaculture are described. Quality and quantity of pikeperch spermatozoa after varying cold water treatments are presented in the chapter 2 and can help to optimize broodstock management of males with the aim to obtain high quality spermatozoa during a seasonal and an out of season spawning as well. Benefits of hormone treatment of both sexes in semi-artificial reproduction in pikeperch are described in the chapter 3 where the importance of hormonal treatment of both sexes in tank spawning is evaluated for effective production pikeperch larvae. The use of an alcalase treatment for the elimination of pikeperch egg stickiness is being shown in the chapter 4 of this thesis. Post-ovulatory oocyte ageing and its effect on eggs viability rates and occurrence of larval malformations and ploidy anomalies are listed in chapter 5. These results describe the effects of the egg over ripening fertilization process in pikeperch. The first report of heat shock triploidisation in pikeperch is described in chapter 6 with production of 100% pikeperch triploid population. The effect of water surface treatment on survival, swim bladder inflation and growth of larvae is given in the chapter 7 with the aim to optimize the intensive culture of pikeperch larvae. Last two chapters (8 and 9) are describing the adaptation of intensively cultured juveniles to pond culture and the adaptation of pond-cultured juveniles to RAS as a new and effective methods for ongrowing production of pikeperch. In total, four published scientific papers, one handbook, one accepted scientific paper for publication, and two prepared scientific manuscripts are included and discussed in this Ph.D. thesis. 2017 - anglický Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou složených substantiv v anglickém jazyce, konkrétně jejich tvořením a užitím. Teoretická část je zaměřena na popis a výskyt kompozit v angličtině a jejich zvláštnosti. Stěžejním jevem práce jsou substantivní kompozita, jejich druhy a způsoby jejich tvoření. Praktická část zjišťuje, jak velký problém činí zkoumaná kategorie kompozitních substantiv žákům druhého stupně základní školy a žákům nižšího stupně gymnázia. Na základě dotazníku zkoumá, jak se dokážou vypořádat s pravidly tvoření kompozit a s výjimkami při tvoření složených substantiv v současné angličtině. The thesis deals with the rules of compound nouns in English language, specifically with their formation and usage. The theoretical part focuses on the description and occurrence of compounds in English and their specific features. The focus is given to compound nouns, their types and ways of formation. The practical part investigates how complicated these issues are for pupils of primary schools and for pupils of eight-year grammar schools. Based on a questionnaire, it explores how pupils can understand the rules of the compound formation and the exceptions connected to the formation of compound nouns in English language. The thesis is divided into four major chapters. The first chapter introduces theoretical background consisting of backend and frontend technology description. The second chapter serves as determination of customer's expectations in form of functional and nonfunctional requirements gathering. The major focus of the third chapter is on application architecture design of both server and client side together with subcomponents design. Additionally, this chapter is complemented by the data model and Time Project 5 application design. The last, and at the same time, major chapter reveals the actual implementation of mentioned subcomponents including further necessary support features. Predicting asp and pikeperch recruitment in a riverine redervoir.

2016 - anglický Recruitment of two species, asp (Leuciscus aspius) and pikeperch (Sander lucioperca), in a riverine reservoir was studied using a novel statistical approach. Both species are piscivorous and are stocked into reservoirs for biomanipulative purposes to reduce planktivore species. Long-term data series were used, but the number of potential predictors was high. Therefore, a novel informative statistical approach based on dimension reduction methods was applied. Quality of outputs was driven by sampling methods. Main factors affecting asp recruitment were zooplankton abundance, predator density and temperature. In terms of pikeperch fry measured with seine and trawls, the number of predators was the only important factor. Gillnets underestimate small fish and the data were unsuitable for statistical modelling. 2017 - anglický Cílem práce je představit viktoriánské spisovatelky druhé poloviny 19. století z pohledu koncepce fiktivních románových prostorů. Práce nejprve stručně představí hlavní autorky viktoriánského románu ve společenském kontextu doby 19. století (sestry Brontëovy, George Eliot) a poté se bude věnovat analýze posledního románu G. Eliotové Daniel Deronda (ve srovnání s autorčiným dřívějším románem 'The Mill on the Floss') s důrazem na proměnu románového prostoru v díle, kterému dominuje židovská tématika, hledání a nalézání kořenů a tradic v osobním životě hrdiny. Práce se zaměří na evropský kontext románových prostor a tradic a zhodnotí význam posledního románu ve vývoji autorčiny tvorby. The aim of this diploma thesis is to introduce Victorian authoresses of the second half of the 19th century and concept of fictional novelistic spaces. Firstly, the thesis will shortly present the main authoresses of the Victorian novels in the social context of the 19th century (the Brontë sisters, George Eliot). Secondly, it will focus on the analysis of the last of George Eliot's novels, 'Daniel Deronda' (comparing it with her earlier novel 'The Mill on the Floss') with the emphasis on the changes of the concept of space in the novel, in which the Jewish theme dominates, and it will also describe searching for the roots and traditions in the personal life of the hero. Finally, the thesis will aim at European context of the concepts of novelistic spaces and it will evaluate the importance of the last novel written by George Eliot. 2017 - anglický Práce se zaměří na pojetí prostoru v současném britském románu; nejprve zmíní nejvýznamnější představitele současné románové tvorby v Anglii (McEwan, Graham Swift, Martin Amis) a stručně charakterizuje dobu, ve které romány vznikly. Poté se zaměří na průřez dílem Iana McEwana a na vybraných románech se bude snažit zachytit proměny McEwanovy tvorby směrem ke globalizaci prostoru jeho děl. Jádrem interpretační analýzy budou romány Betonová zahrada (The Cement Garden), Cizinci ve městě (The Comfort of Strangers), Amsterdam, Sobota (Saturday), Solar a Mlsoun (Sweet Tooth). Součástí kapitoly o prvním McEwanově románu bude srovnání s Goldingovým Pánem much (Lord of the Flies). My diploma thesis Space in Contemporary British Fiction will focus on the concept of space in contemporary British novel; at first, three of leading English authors will be mentioned (Ian McEwan, Graham Swift, Martin Amis), and it will briefly characterize the literary period in which their novels were published. In the chosen novels, the thesis will notice the changes of McEwan´s work towards the globalization of space. The core of interpretational analyses will be the novels The Cement Garden, The Comfort of Strangers, Amsterdam, Saturday, Solar and Sweet Tooth. The comparison with Golding´s Lord of the Flies will be a part of the chapter concerning McEwan´s first novel, The Cement Garden.
